I’m glad you like the video, Kim. I am always making new tutorials. I make two every month for my patrons and try to do one or two a month for this RUclips channel.
Hi Sandy I've basicly done polymer embroidery,,and used vine leaf cutters in small size to embellish, a large pendent, and using polymers to make the flowers using a cocktail stick,it worked quite well, I've got some round cabochon setting that I'm going to order soon, so I can try something different, love the video, thanks again🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹👍
That’s a very good question, and I agree with you about superglue not always being the best choice. Bake and Bond is intended to adhere polymer clay to polymer clay, not polymer clay to metal. In this instance where the clay is already pressure fit into the bezel I think superglue would be a good choice.
Thank you for so many little tips for this style. I just have 2 questions. I am trying out polyclay for the first time. These packets that are available in ebay do not have any specific baking instructions. 1 a) So what temp do you bake them at. 1 b) Do we need to cover it when we bake? 2 ) Secondly do we need to glaze these, or is it ok without the glaze.
If they don't specify and you don't know the brand then I can't be certain. Try baking a sample strip that's maybe 1/8 inch thick for 30 minutes at 275° F. Once baked and cooled it should be able to be bent and nearly folded in half without breaking. If it snaps then either: a) it needs to be baked longer or, b) it's an inferior brand of clay and will never be strong, but remain brittle. You don't need to cover pieces, but I like to bake inside two disposable aluminum pans, one upside down on top of the other, clamped together with clothes pins. I belief this gives a more even heat and helps keep lighter colors from darkening. Polymer clay does NOT need to be glazed. The only time you might want to seal is if you have surface effects that need to be protected from wear.
Hi there Sandy. I am new to the polymer clay world and really enjoy your videos. May I ask, where did you get the findings you used when you made the baroque bracelet? Thank you Sandy.
Hi Jeanne, I got those findings at ArtBeads.com. FYI, every one of my tutorial videos has an accompanying blog post with a supply list and links to products. You'll always find a link to the blog post in the description box and in the cards (little "i" in the upper right of the video.) The blog post for the Baroque Bracelet is here: keepsakecrafts.net/blog/2016/12/27/baroque-beads-bracelet-polymer-clay-jewelry-tutorial/
This is a really good explanation of the technique, loaded with helpful hints. Thanks!

Thank you! Happy creating :-)
Can you use bake and bond to adhere the clay into the bezel or is super glue better? I find superglue isn't always as permanent as you'd think

Bake and Bond is intended to adhere polymer clay to polymer clay, not polymer clay to metal. In this instance where the clay is already pressure fit into the bezel I think superglue would be a good choice.
Would bezel withstand oven heat ?
Yes, a metal bezel will be fine at polymer clay baking temperatures (around 275 F.)
