    These are absolutely stunning! I have been watching your tutorials a long time now, along with a few other people who are creative, but you are my absolute favorite. I have been buying the items you use along the way and I am going to try and make some of your beautiful styles. I got my hubby to watch along with me today and he warned me, don’t expect for yours to come out like hers, she’s obviously been doing it a while. He’s right, but I have to start somewhere. Once again thank you for the inspiration.

      Aww! Thank you!
      Just take it nice and slow, and you’ll be fine. Pay attention to the finish of the piece…it makes all the difference. Isopropyl alcohol is your friend, and sanding might be a bit of a chore, but it’s definitely worth at least sanding any rough bits. Have fun!

    Hi love watching your videos your straight forward and easy to listen to I do have a question please will using coloured polymer clay do the same or similar effect in the finished pendant instead of translucent and alcohol inks I've seen some videos use acrylic paint instead of liquid glue is that acceptable or cheap looking forward to more videos but also going back and watching old ones too loved the video you done with your hubby thank you for sharing your work with us

    • @clayboutique
      @clayboutique  Год назад +1

      Colored clay won’t give you the same effect, which is why I use translucent. Having said that, you could add teeny tiny amounts of colored clay to tint the trans clay. I don’t like to use acrylic paint, as it can weaken the clay. Using liquid clay ensures a stronger piece. If you must use paint, use it sparingly.

      @@clayboutique when I Google the stone it said it was mined in America. I didn't mean the use of the word primary in regard to color, but I guess as in the main or dominant color. I didn't see any examples that had hues other then the green hue you created so I guess I just assumed that maybe there were other varieties that also had the green blue hues you'd created in addition to the green hue. Another stunning piece. To be honest I was thinking na, not for me, until you baked it and covered it in resin. My mind quickly changed. I have a question for you as you work with AI a lot and sell your items. How do you let you customers know that AI fade over time and yet don't put them of off buying the piece. That is the only thing that stops me working with AI's. Thanks.

    • @clayboutique
      @clayboutique  Год назад +3

      They’ll only fade if they’re exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time. I have pieces for years, and they haven’t faded, plus, in this case the alcohol inks aren’t being used as a surface treatment, but used to color the clay.
