The head tilt, the vacant stare, the posing. Maya really knows what she is doing.
Shes such a perfect Beyonce, sometimes I forget that she's Maya doing a flattering and loving impression.
Her Mom was Minnie Ripperton who sang "Loving You". Show biz runs deep.
Prince had a huge sense of humor and he found this, along with Dave Chapelle's portrails funny, he even makes references to them.
+Jasmine Bischof The episode of Prince on Chapelle's show was #1 skit of all time. But it was true! How great would it of been eating Prince made pancakes? Prince was so cool! (Shirts versus blouses---CLASSIC!) :)
He isn't makin references now chief.
Jasmine Bischof Well, he USED TO.
That's cool😎 Also the 700th like😊
Larinda Nomikos lolllllll i was about to inquire about the meaning of portrail 😂😂😂 perhaps it's like a nature trail.
1:20 MAYA RUDOLPH studied Beyonces mannerisms! That head flip to the side is routine for Beyonce!
+Freddrick Fredérico yeah they usually study a person's mannerisms before impersonating them...that way they can impersonate their mannerisms
tuodekab lol
And the head wobbling
Her voice sounds more like Chritina Aguilera
@@mamouilletten1562 Her voice sounds more like earlier 2000s Beyoncé.
Armisen and Rudolf KILLED it here!
It never ceases to amaze me how eerily Fred mimics Prince, down to the facial expressions......I bet if Prince had ever seen them he'd have cracked his sides at seeing himself so faithfully portrayed
“Prince is going to answer through his guitar as petals fall from the sky” rofl 🤣
"prince wants you to stop whining, hop up on that cupcake, and hold that cherry" LOL
+DixieNormisss rotfl
+DixieNormisss If only I were older at the time!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😆 😆
Is there something dirty I'm not picking up from this? Sorry, non-native English speaker here.
I think this is by far the best Maya-Beyonce impression. It’s so spot on! She actually can sing too, she was even doing Beys runs. Everyone did a job👏🏾
That's Minnie Riperton's daughter.
@@notthefather3919 Somebody told me last week she's the chick that sang loooooving youuuu is easy cause you're beautiful, do do do do AHHHHHHH!
No wonder Maya grew up and went into comedy!
@@burnyizland"The chick?" Really. Smh.
@@b-ville504 Clutch those pearls.
@@burnyizland I don't want to hurt your mom's neck trying to clutch the nearest pearls.
Fred Armisen, completely underrated.
+Scott Summerour Portlandia though....
absolutely! he's a comedy chameleon!
I just love him
joann hopkins I know he doesn't get the air time he deserves. So underrated it's a shame.
Scott Summerour the most underrated by far
Fred was really playing that guitar. A true talent.
Prince sent an email to Fred Armisen regrading these skits... He said that he enjoyed the skits 🙏💜
really??RIP Prince
That was one great sport!👌🏻
that's cool....
was wondering what Prince may have thought. RIP great one
I think they actually did one of these sketches in 2006 when Prince was the musical guest. The host that night was Steve Martin.
The Nancy Grace impression was so amazing omg
Maya always looks so good when she plays Beyonce, it's a great part for her.
Lies again? Prince Charming
Thank you Fred and Maya for this humorously awesome tribute. Respect and RIP to the Purple One.
Love it!
That was nice of them to do an homage to Prince's "while my guitar gently weeps" solo. His performance at the R&R HoF made lots of people readjust their best guitarist list.
in all honetly Prince is probabbly the only person Beyonce would have willingly played sidekick to
+Ward Nightstone Wrong. Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Etta James, just to name a few.
+Pedro Santos Michael Jackson??? You know those two had a feud that prevented them from even making music together? (Boy, did the world miss out!) +Ward Nightstone Why can't they be their own individual acts? They're not superheroes lol. You have to have an inflated ego to make it in their weird business anyway. It'd only be a matter of time before Beyonce pulled a "Destiny Child's-sans-Beyonce" again.
+Peezy S Prince and Michael didn't have a feud if that's who you mean. Michael and Beyonce? Did I miss something?
+Kia Maria Google it. Apparently, it spanned over some years too. will.i.am was trying to get credit for "ending the feud" after the news of Prince's death broke.
Peezy S
From the mouth of someone who knew Prince:
Cassandra O'Neal, longtime keyboardist for Prince, said that in actuality the two didn't have beef. In fact, they admired each other.
"Michael was a definite influence and inspiration for Prince," she told ABC News. "They both respected each other and that's the cool thing."
"There was a place in [his] Paisley [Park residence] ... and there's a screen and nice big old couch and we would watch old clips of 'Soul Train' and he would talk about just the influences that he had," O'Neal recalled. "Michael and his brothers were definitely a part of that."
O'Neal said their relationship is something to be modeled."We as musicians can take so much from that. Nowadays with social media, it's so competitive," she added. "'I'm doing this and your not.' They didn't do this. The ones that really had it like that didn't do that to each other. They embraced each other and he really made it a point to let us know that."
Even fake Prince has an awesome guitar solo.
I wanted to kno where it was from!
SUCH an awesome bonus, Fred Armisen actually knows how to play guitar!!
THIS IS KILLER.
*****
no way!??
I'm gonna check that out.
+Babyhowdy233 That's great
I wonder how Fred is feeling right now
He said he was saddened because the guitar was actually given to him by prince and he was one of those celebs who got the chance to play ping pong and have prince made food. You can find the stories and videos online all about it. He said he won't get over it.
@@DaDarkSavior "He took us back inside and made us pancakes."
I love Freds expressions when he plays the guitar, exactly how Prince made them!
The way Maya-Beyoncé was looking at Prince when he was answering the question thru his guitar tho lol ,I couldn’t stop laughing
I know! Her odd facial expressions 🤣
Shia's impression of TM was actually pretty good. He does do that "surprised/terrified face" constantly. Mia's Beyonce kills me....so spot on...
Maya is getting better with her Beyonce' imitations.
The 5:00 solo Fred does is Prince's part in While My Guitar Gently Weeps with Jeff Lynn, Steve Winwood, Dhani Harrison and Tom Petty.
So refreshing to see Shia not so serious and having a good time. I'd love to see him enjoying doing comedy👍🏻
Shia looks so cute clean-cut!
She had that Nancy Grace voice pretty damn good.
It sounds like a female version of Dr. Phil
That's Amy for you
....mah fraayyand ‘Jyooooleee’...;)
"Nancy Grace, all your singing has scared Prince. He is hiding" cut to him hiding. I don't know why it's funny, but it is.
That said the props department sure went all out with Prince's guitar, esp for a five minute sketch...
My question is did Fred really play I know he can
As if Fred doesn't have a guitar like that already! ;)
"Oh no I scared Prince"
+Lola Mariscal lol
Oh y'all 😂
I have not seen this in ages. Fred and Maya nailed it. So funny.
The Prince Show has always been one of my favorite sketches.
Fred's ability to become his character is amazing
hello 2007 shia. whatsup?
No...no...no...no...no....nothing....
JUST DO IT. I'm sorry I had to
brilliant
Rich Savage
yo hope that goes over well.
+Rich Savage id appreciate another Even Stevens movie, bro. take my money.
Sheena Easton and Prince did make some killer songs together.
Fred and maya did a great job
RIP Prince
RIP old SNL
RIP Shia Lebouf
"You've got the look / You've got my book / Then you goobie-doobie-doobie my book." I want that on my grave.
OMG Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph! lol!!! and Amy Poehler dancing at the end freaking Shia - Genius!
This skit is awarded relevant to the fact that prince died & beyonce has the lemonade dress on.... It's like they already knew, snl already knew
Awkwardly
Illuminati?
It's an old skit form the late 2000's but they reposted it because prince died
+Yellowlover94 Weird man and beyonce has her lemonade dress on Damm !
+Yellowlover94 can someone explain what you mean by lemonade dress?
amy at the end XD ... OMG!
Fred, maya, Amy...all the greats!!!
Fred, Maya, Shia and Amy are brilliant here. I think Fred is one of the funniest people on the planet
I think the funniest part is Amy Poeler dancing at the end
when Amy starts dancing at the end LMAO
Hands down the best Prince and Beyonce Imitation ever!!!!!!
I love the Beyonce impression!!
This was so good. Let me unwrap my hard candy now. Fred did a bang up job as Prince 🤣🤣🤣. Didn't know he had it in him! Amy went hard core thirst trap at the end with that dance 🤣🤣🤣.
Thank you, SNL. I've been looking for the old spoofs on Prince, but they've been difficult to find as every video link I pull up in Safari auto-switches to the NBC app when I click on it. Once in the app, I must re-enter the search. But it has yet to find one video. So THANK YOU for posting this!
yoooo his Prince impression is on point! 😂😂😂
I have to believe Prince loved these skits. They were so good!!!
lmao he does have his voice down pat lol
Yeh he got it down.
Fred actually knows how to play guitar which only makes this better😂
+Dominic Rossi Guitar, drums, vocals - he blows it out the ass.
Indeed! Was watching him play...
Beyonce!!!!! Maya Rudolph is the only one that can do the Queen justice.
Fuck that illuminati hoe bag.
Mike Boland she is the most talented artist today so fuck out of here with that
Get a life!!
Beyoncé sucks.
Beyonce fucking suuucks
I thought shia was making a comeback but then I realized it was an old clip
Same! 😂😂
"Nancy Grace, your singin has scared Prince, he has decided to hide" 😂
Love you forever, Prince.
maya would impersonate sade perfectly . snl make that happen
AMY POEHLER breaking it down at the end i CAN'T!!! lollll
Lost it when "Nancy Grace" came out!
how great is this right now!?? and Prince had such a great sense of humor
that's not prince
+Tata Beha Prince was dead by the time this was made
+Dillon Thomson Lollll I know, I have been watching SNL for 30 yes, I'm aware that this is Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph impersonating Prince and Beyonce for a Comedy Skit. Thanks tho
+Danny Swanger This comedy skit from An SNL episode was originally aired in 2005, Prince was not dead. Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph are the actors impersonating Prince and Beyonce. There u go, U learn something everyday!
+Enzothebaker99 Your opinion is duly noted.
Shia LaBeouf looks so much better clean shaven
The new "Lemonade" music video looks great!
Minnie Ripperton would be so proud. 🙂👍🏻
Shia LeBeouf doing his best Rainman impression.
This guy was talking in Prince's singing voice hahahahahaha. This is pretty funny because all three of them still did a good job with their impersonations
Amy Poehler’s dance at the end is life
I love that Prince and Beyonce share a telepathic connection!
Do people not realize this is old?? It's a re upload of an old skit. Look how young they all are.
+Megan Kathleen I know! I think most of these comments are from people under the age of 18.
Damn you right 😂😂
Megan Kathleen so ?
I'm pretty sure this is from 2008 or something. They definitely look much younger!
I think they don't. It took me a while to figure out
Amy Poehler...spot on for Nancy Grace!
She got moves!
The best skit was when he visited Beyonce and Blue Ivy.
I think Fred is actually playing the guitar!
So do a lot of people.
He nailed the Prince impression! Voice should've been a bit deeper though
Prince will answer your question through his guitar as petals fall from the sky... Realistic
and then plays a solo from a George Harrison song.
I always loved the Prince show!
He actually played the guitar, so cool
Maya in the Lemonade Dress looking Flawless
why doea she always look pregnant though?
+Arima because at the time she was pregnant with twins
holdem5180 this was an old skit?
+Arima yeah I know it's about at least 10 years old
holdem5180 DAAAYYYYMMM DANIEL
Fred and Maya are truly amazing. Omg I'm dying here 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I'll always remember Steve Martin playing a guy on the Prince Show, saying something like, "Can I get off this seat? It's hurting my buttock!"
Yes that is funny. But I cannot find that skit at all on You Tube!
Prince show always makes me laugh! I hope Fred does more!!
Lmfaooooo her Nancy is spot on, inflection and all
Fred is so talented. He was really playing that 🎸
They are spot on. Especially the Beyoncé character LOL I’m dead 😵😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣
Hilarious! He so captured the essence of Prince's public persona.
😂❤️SNL the best show!! you guys make my day every time. Cracking up on all you do.😂🤣😅 the swollen 🤚, Prince whispering!! Beyoncé ha ha and Nancy with that wig.. lol 😂
her trying to sing u got the look killed me lol "i dont know the words" omg
Amy Poehler just slayed acid Betty on live TV.
Acid shoulda been taking notes
+Toulouse The Cat she should have actually looked at the character she was portraying. She looked more like a blonde Kathy Griffin.
Fred is a living legend and this is proof he's the best Prince impersonation ever
Man, this makes me miss Prince.
Miss this cast.
Maya Rudolph can literally play ANYONE 😂😂😂
Yes…join me under this water fall, climb the rainbow tree 🤣🤣🤣🤣
5:24 Shia thinks Amy's about to grind up on him lol
Man Shia was different. You have to wonder if he's better off now or back then
RIP PURPLE ONE.
Fred’s Prince Mac n Chz story is hilarious 😂
You know what's really great: This Mac n cheese.
@@eboiman6082 🤣🤣🤣
Shia has always been more of a comedian to me than a serious actor, I thoroughly enjoyed Even Stevens!
A goobie doobie doobie my book. Lmao! 😂😂😂
I appreciate that they built a bigger guitar to make Armisen look appropriately Prince-sized.
The way Amy started dancing at the end was silly asf! I love Prince Show!💗😝
R.I.P PRINCE👦🏾
this has to be one of the best skits from snl the performances are so good..
