Reactive abuse for sure. I dated a guy that used to destroy my house and spit on me and yell and after 3 years I finally went insane. I had to be hospitalized. He tried to film my melt down like I was the abuser. Thankfully I had YEARS of evidence to stand on. Some people aren’t as lucky.

Its wild how Gypsy attempts to frame Ryan as controlling, yet its obvious when living with her its her way or the highway.
She's the controlling one, she talks about red flags from Ryan, she has been the one who has been provoking it and looking for it. She's the walking red flag, the way she talks, how she thinks, how she creates problems and arguments to get reactions from Ryan and paint him in a bad light, the biggest one, she took her phone out during an argument with her husband and started recording him. So manipulative, because that's showing the other person in a bad way. She's really showing her true colours, the apple doesn't fall far from the free and she's not changed. Still manipulating people to get what she wants and not caring about who she hurts in the process of that. Funny when you look at it isnt it, I'm not denying her of the fact she was horrifically abused as a child, but she said a few times in the documentary series that " if she feels controlled at any point she's walking away" in the new episode look how easily she walked out, left the puppy that she begged for and her husband and left. If she can do that so easily now why couldn't she have with her mother. She was horrifically abused but Its not nice to ever have to doubt a victim but her actions and behaviour, her lies and how she manipulates those around her makes you think if everything is the entire truth. Maybe as she got older and understood she did become a willing participant in the scam. She manipulated a vulnerable mentally ill man into killing her mother for her and apparently has been bragging about it in prison, she was abused as a young child but there is doubt now, she doesn't speak like an abuse victim. Her mother claimed that Gypsy was mentally behind and had the mind of a child, yet even during her interviews during that time you can see she speaks in a very mature way, I have a normal healthy 9 year old and 7 year old and they do not speak at that level of maturity and with use those kinds of words that Gypsy did at that time that they was claiming she was mentally behind and had the mind of a child. Its absolutely obvious she is extremely clever and knows how to manipulate and play the victim. I felt sorry for her at first but I genuinely believe now Gypsy isn't the victim anymore and hasn't been for a long time, I'm actually doubting now alot of what she said happened, happened.
She is insufferable. As I said to my mum "just because something bad happens to someone doesn't make them a good person"

Someone needs to call CPS before that baby is born. They are so gutted I doubt they could actually do anything, but her entire history should automatically make her ineligible to legally raise a kid.

She even made a point of acting like she needed to see if he was feeding and watering the dog, while they snuck into the apartment to get her stuff. When she’s off she will 100% move in with a man or her parents which is evident by her codependency and inability to be alone. For 18 years at LEAST she will be living with her child (granted everything goes smoothly). When she’s old she will live in community living because she never learned the skills to live alone. She needs to wake up to reality.

I think it’s more the fact she brings up the fact she does that but does nothing to curb o change her behavior. I’ve survived horrific abuse and am currently back to being abused because the car I lived in was totaled and I’m severely injured. I have a habit of looking for red flags due to trauma but I’ve been taking steps to try to curb that behavior so I don’t make out everyone to be like my abusers. She doesn’t acknowledge that anything she is doing is a problem. That’s what I find to be the biggest problem and red flag about her. People who are incapable of ever taking accountability should be avoided like the plague. They are the most immature and exhausting people imaginable whether they’re NPD or not.
This isn't the first time Ryan has brought up the "on- camera" issue. He warned her when she first got out that he already had concerned parents calling the school while he was on leave. So she's potentially messing with his career by not respecting his boundary.
Yet Ryan wasn't worried about his teaching career when he was writing a convicted murderer who looked like a disabled child while working as a special ed teacher. He had no problem bragging about pressuring Gypsy into having s*x the first night when she was uncomfortable, and he said it was "cute" and said "she got into it... eventually hehe." He had no problem buying her hooker boots to come out of prison in cuz he cares SO much about HER needs he couldn't even buy her sneakers. He had no problem bragging about not using protection, and n*tting in her, he had no problem discussing how he wanted her to wear lingerie on camera, he had no problem with "the D is fire" comment and mentioned it constantly, even sharing it on his social media and telling other guys to stay away. He had no problem bragging about how "good" in bed he was. But talking about safe s*x practices and preventing an unwanted pregnancy is a step too far for his teaching career, right.

It's so messed up and sad that she was released from prison and she was allowed to do all of this media crap without anyone saying, "Hey, get some therapy and settle into life on the outside. Lay low for a bit."

I’m not gonna lie when Ken’s talking about not talking about your partner in a bad light really spoke to me. I used to do this a lot to my friends, and I considered it ranting or just expressing myself, but I realize that it created such an animosity between your partner and your friends and it’s not a healthy choice.
I never once said a negative word about my wife to anybody, then one time I agreed with my sister that sometmes my wife could be "annoying" and all hell broke loose when she found out. Meanwhile her mother and sister in law knew every negative detail about me.

Yep! I was the friend that got to hear all the awful stories... and then she wondered why I resented her partner so much. Eventually I told her to stop telling me these stories if she didn't want me to be upset over them... it's hard to hear these things from people you really care about, yet be expected to not be bothered
@@llyslee Careful with that. My ex made me promise never to speak about our arguments to anyone, however our arguments were all started by her and involved abusive behavior. She isolated me from everyone. Talking about arguments is fine as long as it's not solely badmouthing. It can be asking for advice (I would ask her friend how to communicate better since I'm autistic and my ex's friend knew exactly how to communicate things, plus it was a way of making sure I didn't go absolutely insane). It just is a matter of balance, don't badmouth your partner but keeping yourself completely isolated isn't great either.
I wonder if Gypsy has recognized what she is doing and how messy and immature even cold at times with her behavior towards Ryan and others. If she is able to change and learn from her mistakes?
I am tired of people thinking that wanting your living space to be tidy means you have OCD.
I know my husband has OCD and unfortunately, my daughter who’s only nine years old was recently diagnosed by a child’s psychiatrist with OCD. It’s so much more than just being clean and tidy. And I feel so heartbroken for my child because there’s so much anxiety, compulsion, and obsessiveness involved with OCD. My daughter cries almost every other day because of it. And my husband who is taking medication for it found out recently it’s been affecting his blood so now he’s withdrawing from it and not doing well. So when people say oh I have OCD because I like to keep things nice and tidy, and I don’t like the messy things is full of themselves they have no idea.
Yup people use the term so lightly and don’t know what it feels like to have your life truly affected by ocd

My mom stayed very close to a guy I dated when I was 19. He would be at family events and also tried to date me sister. He ended up marrying my sister-in-law's sister. Everyone acted like I was wrong for thinking all of this was odd. My mom also paid some of his bills and would take him out to eat years after I broke up with him. Yuck.

Fell in love with my husband back in highschool. Got so used to his snoring that I couldn't sleep well without him near me, I guess sort of like white noise? He has habits i dont like and vice versa. We: 1. Choose our battles 2. *_Communicate_* 3.Compromise. We've been together 7 years now and married for nearly 4 years. He is my best friend, we were each other's first, and we respect each other. The secret is simply to recognize that love is a _choice_ an *_action_* not a fleeting feeling, like lust or infatuation (which wax and wane). I wish more married couples would share this with newlyweds.

I can’t feel THAT bad for Ryan anymore. He is a 37 year old man who chose to write to a woman in prison for killing her mother just because she was famous! What NORMAL person would do that? A woman who is psychologically ill, because that mother severely abused her. She never had the chance to grow-up before she went to prison, so how functional and responsible could he expect her to be when she was finally released? She’s absolutely being manipulative as hell, but manipulative like a teenager.

Gypsy is no innocent peach, but its clear a lot of her antics are tied to being an immature and emotionally stunted person. People in these comments expect her to be a fully functioning adult after her childhood and a stint in prison *and that's not ever going to happen*.
Ryan rushed into a relationship with someone who clearly did not have all their marbles and never bothered to take his time and urged her to *GET IN THERAPY*.
Both my husband and I were dealing with depression and our own PTSD as we dated and *we both had to take the time to get help for these conditions* and that was 1000% something we needed for our future marriage.
We both had traumas we needed to work through that were effecting our relationship, and had we refused to work through them, those obstacles absolutely could have sabotaged our marriage.
I also think that the fact that as soon as she got released he was being so pushy with the lingerie and insisted on being so clingy to the point of her not wanting him in her presence constantly; true she might’ve loved him enough to marry him but once the reality sank in plus all the other small things that added up into her not wanting to be bothered with him anymore

We know Gypsy because she was the worst case of Munchhausen by proxy the world has seen and people thought prison would turn her into a fully functional, healthy, emotionally intelligent, adult? How? This is her very first taste of life out of a high control environment. All the things Gypsy has done have been what I would have expected to see, it's things 17-18-year-olds with trauma would do, she's going to make the same mistakes we all did in our late teens early 20's.
As psych major, I wonder what people thought would happen & why they're excusing Ryan. Gypsy needs therapy and life coaching, she needs to learn to live, she needs time to mature and grow on her own. What is Ryan's excuse? He's 37-38 and made the choice to write a convicted murderer who looked like a disabled child while working as a special education teacher, disturbing & abnormal. He has done nothing but dominate her life, tried to control every action and relationship Gypsy has, even the relationship with her fans and PO, he wouldn't let her do interviews alone, he speaks for her, every minute of every day has to be about Ryan's wants and needs. Even the way he speaks "my wife, I need my time, she's mine, I need my cuddles, I need my wife, I need to come with you, I'm your husband, me, me, my, my, mine" he won't let her do anything without him, he demands constant attention, it's not normal, it's controlling and abusive, period. Isolating you from your family is the first step in the abuse cycle and we're watching Ryan do this, but no one is paying attention because of Christy's choice to meddle and Gypsy's immaturity. It's nonsense to me, this man is suffocating and not liking Gypsy shouldn't excuse this.
