Some people don’t get the resentment of living with a hoarder parent and say “your parent has an illness, you have to understand!” No! Living in a cluttered, filthy house is abuse, doesn’t matter if the abuser is mentally ill or not. I feel physically sick whenever I see my moms dirty af, cluttered house and I’m personally a very clean person, I often clean stuff most people don’t (like my mattress, shelves, rugs, etc) + the inability to have anyone over, ever because you need a full day to hide the trash and another to clean and organize
We have a person that rents from us and she collects dogs like there dolls. And had cats outside everywhere from refusing to get them fixed. My mom gave her a dog limit and said she had to get rid of atleast 3. And raised her rent, to pay for damages that had to be fixed often because of animals.
I definitely agree but lately seeing how full the shelters are, I'm so close to becoming an animal hoarder myself. I don't because I don't have the means but it's heartbreaking to see how many people refuse to fix their pets & ferals and backyard breeders adding to the population.
I saw one it was bodycam footage dude had multiple dogs locked in his dirty basement, locked outside in the cold, cats, rodents, eels, fish, chicken, even a goat and alligators that were found in the attic. He got jailed for 6 days for torturing 113 animals in his home. Cops Discover Pet Owner's House of Horrors by EWU bodycam
I can’t believe I’m seeing this on your channel! So shocked. The little black dog on this woman’s property, tied to the pole and fed dead chickens, was taken by one of the producers on scene and given to the ASPCA. My family adopted him, renamed Joey, and he lived to be 12 years old. We loved him, he had a great life in the end. Absolutely TERRIFIED of storms/loud noises, probably from being forced to live outside. Anywho, just wanted to share at least one of the pets on her property had a happy ending.
Hey guys! I used to live in this area and I can say that Hannah used to even treat people in town the same way. She could be a hateful person so easy, and project her problems onto others. Shortly after the episode aired they tore down the buildings and now it is just mostly an empty field I hear.
This episode literally made me cry.... I have seen this situation play out so many times in person, in our court systems, as I have been a safe place for these animals to land. I will never understand why the state allows people like this woman to torture, neglect, and still have all these animals!!! Obviously what happened to her children was horrific. but at this point they are out of this woman's hands. I swear we have some of the worst animal abuse laws ESPECIALLY for FARM animals! We need to do so much better.
Because we don't live in an authoritarian state where the government knows at all times what is happening everywhere. Once the government was made aware of the situation, at the end of the episode, she was charged.
@@danthemankhan Well this may very well be true. But see once they do know I've been on several counties lists as one of the temporary people to come get & house abused animals till the courts decide what's going to happen. MOST of the time the get a fine, a misdemeanor, promise to do better & in many cases the animals are returned. So while thankfully we do not live under an authoritarian government. Our laws still need to be much stronger against animal abuse. Because a large majority of the time the animals are returned to the abusers and in 6 months there is a pop up visit the animals are found living in the same conditions and the cycle repeats. My point is once the authorities know where an abuser lives much more needs to be done because I've witnessed the cycle reprat 3, 4, 5 times over before the judge gets tired of the excuses & finally removes them & or bans them from getting more.
I agree. Animal laws need to be stricter in ALOT of states. I hate chickens! But I was so angry at the state of them. And the limping goat! I hate animal abusers! And that daughter may have seemed out of pocket, but she definitely had a rough childhood and her mother deserves every ounce of anger she has. I hope she's able to get help of some sort. The Mom is long gone, but the kids still have time.
@@JenniferFinchum You're running up against the fact that these animals are the property of the "abusers", and as such, due process of law needs to be followed. The government doesn't take my car away for a speeding ticket, but will take away my license after I have demonstrated over and over again that I am not going to change. And that's not even a good analogy because driving affects other people in a very real way. Treatment of animals doesn't affect others.
Factory farms would go out of business if the abuse laws applied to farm animals. It's sad but true. The best thing we can do is buy from small family farms whenever possible.
Hannah passed away in 2017 I believe. This would usually sadden me, but I watched the full episode and she is sooo much worse than she already is in this, its infuriating. Contrary to what people have said in the comments, Hannah Gillihand (formerly Ramey) did not freeze to death in 2011. She was remarried in 2012, divorced in 2016, and lived until 2017 when she died in an Indiana hospital. More importantly her son, Glenn Ramey, r* ped and m* rdered the 8 year old relative of a woman he was dating and his mom, Hannah Gillihand/Ramey, gave an interview to DNN where she defended him saying he was bullied and picked on his whole life. She also denied that Glenn had ever SAd his own sons even though he was charged with several felonies and there was ample evidence. She was interviewed, and taken to McDonald's for milkshakes, by a now defunct news site Disclosure News Network, but their archive can be found by googling with quotations "Systemic failures and “pure evil” may have lead to Sabrina Stauffenberg’s death", her interview starts about halfway down. Hannah also talks about Becky Ramey, the toothless daughter who said the God will punish her bit at 5:00, but I'll leave that part as a fun surprise lol.

@@Itslo13 The part about his sons is sick, people who are thinking about reading it should definitely be aware the description will be triggering. You're spot on with the abuse being cyclical part. I think there's a lot more to her "CPS took my kids" story than we'll ever know, and I don't want to seem like I'm defending him or making excuses but it's probably part of the reason Glenn had his own problems with his kids and that poor girl. Becky marrying her own step-father can probably be traced back to some childhood shit too...
I have chickens, and I rescued a turkey from a situation like this. That turkey had horrible health issues, was extremely aggressive, and completely antisocial with the other turkeys. Chickens can't survive in a place like that.
I HATE this woman with every fiber of my being. I sat through the whole episode grinding my teeth. Absolutely despicable woman. I know a lot of people with personality problems, and sometimes you have to ignore them when they act mean, because they're actually sweet people underneath. This woman is vile all the way through. She treated her kids the same way she treats those animals, 100%.
The way she treats the animals makes me wonder about her parenting habits and thoughts about caring for children. It could provide more insight into exactly why her kids might want to stay away from her.
The fact that the state took her kids, and she brags that 10 of her 16(!!) children are still living, but she doesn't care whether they want to know her or not, says all you need to know about her "parenting".
I feel really sad that the one daughter feels she needs to tolerate her mother, because she's her mother. She should save her sanity and just walk away. She owes her mother nothing.

This is one of the most insufferable and ungrateful people on the planet. She's not just lazy. She may be genuinely evil. Ken and Buff are going to go off on this one.
This made me cry. Send in animal control, get those animals out of there. Leave her there. Go in and clean out the whole mess after she’s gone. Let all the filth and rot , decay, run its course.
These hoarder episodes made me realize how much of one my grandma was. She sadly died in February of 2022 from a brain tumor. And when my family went to clean her house, it was a huge mess. I had been to her house to spend the night when I was a kid, and it was crowded with stuff back then. Even one room that connected to another room in the house had a bunch of stuff in it and a small pathway so she could get through. Her car also had clothes in it, even a clothing rack on the ceiling of the inside of car. When we cleaned it, there was rats inside a mattress in her bedroom, the bathtub I used to be able to take baths in was full of stuff, trash was everywhere. It was heart breaking. She was going through pain because of the tumor that she had to have a friend take her to the hospital, so I get the mess, It just opened my eyes to see it recently and made me realize that she was a hoarder. But we did find some really cool stuff of hers in the garage like an old camera, a box of sewing supplies, her old violin, and some notes from like 1970 something (can’t quite remember when some were written) but yeah, I still miss her even with all her hoarding. It’s like you’re blind to it at first, but when you watch other hoarders and look back, that’s when you put two and two together. Anyways, make more hoarder videos! (I feel like I learn something new from each one lol)
I tried to help clean up my grandparents place, nothing as bad as the show but they were well on their way to that. They were so convinced I was throwing out jewelry/valuables. I was showing them that I was tossing out used paper plates and things that mice were nesting in. I asked why would it ever make sense for me to throw out jewelry? And asked when they last saw stuff and where, but they weren't able to answer. Sad and frustrating, and we couldn't get the place cleaned until they passed.
Many of my family members are hoarders. Some of us, like my mom and me have hoarding tendencies. We have to harness things before it gets out of control and it's a life long battle. Our homes has never been anywhere near this bad. These shows help motivates me to clean. For some people it does the opposite and their mindset says "at least my place isn't that bad" so they don't do much about it.
"There isn't anything wrong with any of the animals! I haven't seen it!" After she pulled out a stiff, dead chicken from the dark, overcrowded torture tub it was pecked to death in. Probably never having gotten to see sunlight or breathe actual nontoxic air. Nothing wrong at all!
I think it was illness and/or stress that got it. It didn't look pecked to death. There was no blood. I wouldn't trust that bitch to know a duck from a goose, let alone make an accurate post-mortem. I think she says pecked to death because then it was the other chickens who did it, not her piss poor, sociopathic 'care-taking.'
Ken's facial expression when we got to the part about the abuse of her kids and the animals is like....omg fucking same dude god damn. It sent me because of how ridiculous this is.
This is exactly what my grandmas house looked like. Piles on either side with a path through the middle. My mom’s house is starting to get bad and I am PRAYING that I don’t do this but I’ve already noticed a stupid attachment to small items. I’ve told all of my friends to give me a friendly love tap with a car if I get bad.
If you're already noticing that tendency to attach to objects, as well as having it run in your family, all the more reason to work on those tendencies now! I say it with compassion, believe me. But quite often people with hoarding disorder spiral out of control due one or more major losses in their lives - as someone who lost bath parents last year and just how hard that in itself has been to go through, you don't want to be going through anything similar, and then also have to deal with hoarding on top, you know? Forewarned is forearmed. It's a very treatable and manageable condition, but the earlier, the better, and you'd also find it much easier to deal with those tendencies now, before you're facing those big losses that life inevitably throws our way, too.
Do want to stress that there's nothing wrong with having some attachment to sentimental items, though. It's the scale of the attachment and the scale of the amount of items that really matters too. Attached to family photos? Special jewelry? A few favourite childhood toys? Normal, fine, healthy! Not being able to get rid of a single item that belonged to a loved one, holding onto actual trash? Whole different matter.
Same with our grandparents. My mom made me promise to throw stuff out when she's not looking if she ever gets like that. No one should live in those conditions, especially not elderly ppl.
I remember watching this video, and this episode made me so frustrated at the neglect those poor animal were living in. The denial this hoarder was extreme.
OMG, I was eating while watching this and about choked when Ken said she was just pouring the food on the chickens and when she said, "I had 16 kids and 10 of em are still alive!" 😂😂
I hate people who abuse animals. In Alaska there's lots of people who have the attitude of saving everything, because sometimes supplies are hard to get, but they just end up with what we call "junksteads". The entire property is packed with junk that's just being destroyed by the elements.
Hoarders is the best motivation for cleaning up the house, decluttering, thrifting stuff, etc. I watch an episode of that if I dont feel like cleaning and instantly like "Good grief! Nope! Gotta clean!" 😂
I hate to say it, but I'm relieved to hear that for those animals' sake. Some people we just don't feel bad or are indifferent about them dying and that's okay. When my mom's mother passed, my siblings and I didn't have any feelings about it. She didn't act like a grandmother to us and was very cruel to our mom.
@@dragonfliesnh4204i dont hate to say it. This woman was an animal and child abuser. Extremely bitter and mean. The world is better off without her hurting everyone

I just adopted a dog, and apparently he was living with a hoarder. He's super chill and kind, but acts like he hasn't really gotten enough one-on-one time with a human. I guess there was also a forest fire going on around the hoarder's house, and he was rescued from that with other pups.
Years ago, I adopted a lop-eared rabbit from a hoarding situation. It took her months before she would stop gobbling all her food immediately. It broke my heart. I used to sit near her on the floor and softly sing John Denver songs. Eventually she learned that food was coming every day and she didn’t need to panic and gobble it up. 🐇🥺
I remember this episode. That woman is so horribly mean. She needs serious mental help and I hope she got it eventually. She has no business owning all those animals. They were living such tortured lives, the poor things. And her children, I get why the one stays away. Its such a tragic situation.
It always baffles me how the most stubborn people with the most absolutely wrong opinions tend to live longer to be almost a hundred, and good proper people rarely ever go past 70-80. I guess even the Reaper doesn't wanna handle those kinds of people.
they dont stink when they are free range and are kept in a clean environment, i had friends who had egg layers, just a few, a well as a friend who had a small family farm, all animals had very well kept shelters and had paddocks to free roam and they looked so great they were always clean and did not really smell
I raised chicks once, they lived inside for a while until they could survive outside. They don't smell *too* bad if kept clean and in a ventilated area, but THE DUST they create is incredible.
it seems to me she comes from a time/place where she had to have kids but she didn't want them and is a narcissist so now she resents them and hates her life
@judysocal8682 idk, she reminds me a lot of a narcissist family member of mine, acts very similar in her relationships with her children, the show is heavily edited tho, so who knows
I didn't believe she actually had all of these animals but the way she threatened to smack that goat brought back some hardcore memories of some of my mom's farming family. Like, actually farms.
Listen, from my own experience, you don't need much to take care of chickens and goats. My family, for example, just had a chicken coup, with a small sheltered area for the goats to rest under when it rained. We only kept about 5 goats, so ours didn't need to be as big as a barn, but seriously, you don't need much to take care of goats and chickens. We had a separate coup for when we occasionally kept chicks, just so the bigger chickens and dogs didn't try to eat them. What you don't need is hundreds of plastic tubs and nasty dog kennels. You just gotta milk the goats twice a week, and feed the chickens everyday, you don't even need special chicken feed, you can make tons of stuff just out of leftovers, we used to cook up the scrambled remains of any eggs that were cracked, including the shells, and fed it back to the chickens every day along with a good amount of dry chicken feed, thay was mostly corn. Like this lady made this a helluva lot harder on herself than it needed to be, just because she wanted to hoard animals.
When my room gets a little cluttered I get so anxious and tensed. I just can't understand living like this. 😢 Also i get she has a illness but nah her hatefulness is to much for me lol I'd be finding me a new memaw. 😂
@@CoushattaL Idk what you're laughing at, it's the truth. That would be painstaking. It's actually a symptom of several diagnosable conditions. You shouldn't be so far to either side of the scale. A bit of clutter shouldn't induce anxiety at all, but a huge mess shouldn't seem fine either. Or did you think you're perfect and we should all aspire to be you?
What I think a lot of people need to realize is that you do NOT have to " tolerate" someone regardless of connection. You can't choose who you're related to, but you CAN choose your family. There's been too much conditioning demanding our loyalty to blood and organized religion doesn't help, but assuming you're not stuck in a situation where you have to " fake it 'til you make it," you can very much choose who you want in your life. Cut the guilt-trippers out if they won't shut up about it.

Four acres is NOT enough for that amount of grazing animals. As someone who lives on two acres with only a handful of free-roaming fowl (chickens and turkeys), I was pained by this episode. She is not incubating chicks; those "chicks" are grown enough to be roaming outside now. Fighting and cannibalism is only a problem with animal hoarding. You see it with giant manufacturers who stuff fowl together so tight you can hardly see the floor. She does not deserve these animals. This is so so cruel. I don't mean to sound like PETA, but chickens and turkeys are very intelligent. They have their own personalities. It's really heartbreaking to see them stuffed in boxes like this to the point their toes are deformed and they're killing each other just for breathing room. I definitely agree but lately seeing how full the shelters are, I'm so close to becoming an animal hoarder myself. I don't because I don't have the means but it's heartbreaking to see how many people refuse to fix their pets & ferals and backyard breeders adding to the population.

Thank you for taking him in that’s lovely she is a horrible person omg

“Resident Evil bad guy” somehow seems very fitting.
I didn't realize my family was hoarders until after my grandfather and mother passed 😢 and we had to go through everything
Sixteen kids and ten are still living.
That hasn't been a legitimate flex for about a hundred and fifty years.
Longer than that I think
I put this show on every time I clean, the place ends up spotless
Lol it's like when I watch worlds worst cooks while I cook my meal feeling like a straight CHEF

I always love how Ken is so good at observing things at the backgrounds 😂
Dane's somber "that's not real, right?" was so touching.
Of course she doesn't know how to care for animals. She didn't even know how to care for her children.
"I'm eating a drum of icecream. Those hoarders, they're the ones with the problem." - Jim Gaffigan 😂
When my room gets a little cluttered I get so anxious and tensed. I just can't understand living like this. 😢 Also i get she has a illness but nah her hatefulness is to much for me lol I'd be finding me a new memaw. 😂
A lot of people would say the same about you. A little clutter inducing anxiety sounds awful.
That's why it's classified as a mental disorder.
@@lobsters12111 Lol okay 😂
@@CoushattaLI get anxious when it's clean. Makes me feel like I can't touch anything
Her speech reminds me of that one character from King of the Hill.. you already know which one I’m talking about😂
Alabaster Jones?
@1WEareBUFO1 "from now on, the only thing I'm pimping is Sweet Lady Propane, and I'm trickin' her out all over town"
She needs to go to jail for animal abuse, and while she's gone throw EVERYTHING away, and re-home the animals. Idk how she's gotten away with that for so long
She had 16 kids AND 6 of them died?! There are animals that are better mothers than this!
You don't know when they died. Given their socio-economic situation and their general hygiene it is entirely possible they died as adults. One of my aunts has seven daughters, three of which have died of overdoses.
@@danthemankhanman that's so sad, three lost to ODs? 😢
@@raeraebadfingers Very sad. Her husband and mother died within three weeks of each other as well.
@@danthemankhanidk what to tell you but thats fucked up 😂 it's called an abusive household, aint no way 3/7 people off themselves with drugs without issues back home
@@danthemankhan jeez, that's just tragic
I feel bad for laughing at someone's physical appearance but lady's neck is having her look like granny Vhagar from house of the dragon 😭 19:11
The therapist in this episode reminds me of the female version of Chris (Rob Lowe) from Parks and Rec
Literally
This woman needs to be fined and arrested.
Hope you keep your animals out of neighboring yards if they have a problem with it. We lived next to a crazy chicken guy who would let them all up on our porch and feed in our yard. We got upset and he threatened to kill us.
@@wrenbyrd1093 Our yard is enclosed. Letting livestock/pets onto someone else's property is irresponsible and dangerous. That's how animals get mauled by dogs or passing cars. Report your neighbor, especially if he's losing animals on the roadside or they're destroying your property. Tell them about his threat of violence.
"...truck driving, beer drinking, pool shooting woman!"
Did she pour the kids food directly over them too?!
That’s not mold, that sadness 😂🤣😂 you guys crack me up!
