As I played this game, Zenkichi went from being ‘weird uncle’ to ‘quirky step dad’, and then, his final form, ‘cool dad dad’/‘cop dad’.

What I really like about what they did with Persona Strikers Monarchs compared to the Palace Rulers in P5 & P5R, it shows the pain and trauma that each of them have experience that explains some of the reasons they ended up the way they did.
Yeah like, with the Rulers in P5/R they were all such unambiguously garbage people that even when the game tried to insist "oh what if changing hearts is wrong?" the only other option was letting a sexual predator run rampant at a high school, or allowing students to be press-ganged into selling drugs. Here the Monarchs are still shitty people, but you learn why they became that way, and they aren't absolute scum, they're fundamentally just human beings who've let their anxiety, desperation, and grief warp them into this. It's like what they did with Maruki but on a smaller scale.
@@ButterflyScarlet I think it's on purpose tbh. Like, with the Palace Rulers, it's pretty obvious they're scum. But most people aren't like that. So when you root out the few, genuine scum, what's left? People then turn on the "lesser evils" who are really people who have been hurt and are retaliating and rather then an iron fist need therapy/guidance to correct their bad behavior/actions. We've seen this in real life with a certain movement too... >.>
Some guy on youtube found deleted scenes from royal where it was gonna show how the palace rulers became evil. Theres 3 scenes each ruler (probably was the original use of will seeds)
I completely agree with this, and I actually personally relate to Alice, the next Monarch, and the final Monarch a lot.
[ENDGAME SPOILERS AHEAD]
In the original game, they always treated Futaba as a 'rare/special case', and made them question if people could even have cognitive distortions if they aren't outwardly evil.
Despite the answer being 'Yes' as Cognitive Distortions are what Therapists look for in their clients (who are usually emotionally fragile individuals), the game only ever displayed pedos, murderers, gangsters, slave drivers and politicians - somewhat unintentionally implying that people who think in a distorted mindset often become awful people.
In this game, absolutely every antagonist is sympathetic. Alice wants to reach the top to spite everyone that tried to crush and destroy her; Natsume believed he finally proved wrong the people that doubted his talents and was able to step out of his grandfather's shadow; Mariko honestly wanted to root out the ones who murdered a child for their own gain; Akira wanted to create a 'more efficient' Phantom Thieves that could catch-all every person facing the same brutal upbringing he did; Ichinose was so traumatised by the death of her parents that she could never outwardly display or understand her own emotions, and ended up buying into the idea that she didn't 'work' like a normal human.
The game was 1/3 the length, yet all of these antagonists' struggles and decisions psychologically have a much bigger impact than literally anyone from the original P5. With the inclusion of Maruki, who was also a character not made by the original P-Team writers, it's safe to say the future of this franchise is in extremely competent hands from a character-writing standpoint at the very least.
SaiyanGamer14 I am guessing they were scrapped because they worried they'd accidentally make the worst of them sympathetic. I mean, who you would call the worst can vary but uh...only the third semester one I would call "redeemable" in the state they were in at the time and the game properly treated it as such. Don't mind it was scrapped thinking of it like that.

It's so weird, for the most part the Persona world is pretty much exactly like a real world with the same level of tech, and then... effin' robots WITH SOULS in 2009.

He’s not a bad character and he actually does support the PT well enough. It’s also hilarious how he’s not the best at anything in the way he supports: for all he does there’s another character that does it better.
Now It’s pretty much obvious Akane totally stole from him the number one fan spot too.
Alice's jail theme is just parfect.

Oh I give it an 7/10... Wait till some battle ones. But for an overall jail theme it is one of the best. I think it is the funky groove on it

One trophy away from the Platinum, grind those effin BOND points is such a pain, lost count of how many times Metatron needed to die for it.
I've been going through on merciless, its much faster
Dude go into merciless ng+ and get to the sendai dire shadow. The dire shadows respawn on merciless and you can easily stunlock it. You get so much bond exp in merciless and managed to get it done in a few hours.
I did it on normal and it took me about 20 hours. It might have just been faster to play ng+ on merciless.
@@joepeacock9746 Problem is that Merciless is truly merciless. I died with one hit from Bicorn in the beginning. Full hp and using a 78 Thor.

At the end of my boss fight Ann was knocked out in the final push, so it was all up to Ryuji. I landed the final hit with a charge swing, was satisfying to hear the ping of the bat echo as it faded to white
i just wanna talk about how the 3d animation took such a huge step up

Seeing someone playing through the first few times seeing Zenkichi is weird considering how much I love him as a character in the late game (maybe mid-game idk? I'm in Kyoto) his character is a bit similar to Dojima but he's still really good

I'd be down for more Persona games done in this style. Combat and exploration are fun, the music is a banger, overall a good game (if only those damn Bond Skills weren't such a grind)

1. Bayo doesn’t have curly hair wtf
2. Bayo’s energy is a LOT different, with amplified confidence and self- aware sex appeal
3. Yes, they both have glasses, but does that make myself like joker? No. (Also the mask part??? Bayo doesn’t wear a mask)
4. How tf does flawless skin make then alike, almost all video game characters have flawless skin

@@phemsee5775 When Joker tried the Maid service kawakami said herself he had flawless skin. Bayonetta2 Cereza has frizzy hair like joker. Both have Glasses that can shape in to a mask cereza has the butterfly mask and Joker his persona mask. Bayo uses sexapell ok but both have dynamic poses in a sassy and Confederate matter. Dude sry you must be blind to not see the resemblance cuz there is Millions of fanarts that Joker is the son of Cereza and Dante from Dmc I consider you to look some Fanarts.

@@jacoblester5822 Mission last +1: Deal with trauma, usually by hitting the appropriate enemy with potent persona powers. P3 had the answer(unsure of version), P4G had Hollow Forest, and P5R had the final Palace. Every time, the struggle after killing the current games god is always to come to terms with everything that happened.

I love the detail that every time the phantom thieves need to make an announcement and they want it to appear legitimate they have Joker in video. Like with Shido that needed to let the cops know they were telling the truth and here it’s to let the people know they’re the real deal and are back

Persona 5 - Farming Simulator. You play as Haru and grow crops in the Metaverse, while Shadows occasionally appear to damage your crops. So you use various members of the Phantom Thieves to provide support and give buffs or upgrades to the Farm itself. All the while you use the crops to improve Big Bang Burger quality and give the Thieves fresh food. All the while you have rockin' Persona music to farm to.
