Exploring for placer gold on the claim using post hole auger mounted on a steel frame to reduce torque effects. Makes for easy drilling ! This virgin site yields chunky gold in red clay. Testing to see how far it extends up the wash.

That was really cool seeing all the equipment working together. I think it's fantastic! That Gold Rattler is just awesome. The only downside is you didn't find much gold, but you were catching tiny stuff so you know the system is not losing any! I also think it's important people see that it doesn't always go as planned. Good luck running that pay!
Hi Chris. Thanks for the kind compliments ! Yeah, I was hoping to find chunky gold in the samples, but that's how it goes sometimes. The Rattler was performing well. After I finished filming, ran 10 buckets of that pay dirt stacked next to the plant and got some nice chunky gold. Also found a small nugget on the caliche too. Best to you Buddy !

Hi Allan, Gary here, We have a placer claim in Barkerville. We are on Antler creek. This creek has produced millions in the past. Now it takes a lot of work to find. gold. Where we are we get mostly flour gold, with the odd nugget. A couple of things I found interesting was, first was you. I enjoy your enthusiasm and the way you think. I looked at all the different things you have created. The trommel, your shaker sluice and your drill. I will probably copy the sluice and the drill. I am interested in you shaker sluice and wondered how much
you would charge for one. We have a couple of sluices, but they don't compare with the volume you can get with your setup. Water is not a problem where we are.

I run a dredge for sand at a sand mine and have thought a drill like that would be a better design than the way dredges are designed! That’s awesome

I live in Colorado I've only been to Arizona once in the last 25 years I tried in Colorado but I generally worked 7 days a week just to get ahead the more I work the further behind I get cavity side or the oil side or the Gray side and pushes on here. Maybe someday I will be able to retire and go play in the rivers ever But like I was saying you have been making the ultimate And having thaving the sand and gravel to filter your water that is that is really good and you don't have to waste too much water

That's why you drill. Missed your videos. Like to see any gold. Should save some clean water for the last of your final pan. Close up shots of the gold are nice even if it's small.

Great job Allan. Enjoyed the whole video. Is it OK with you if I copy your design of your drilling rig. I live in Texas where there is a lot hard red clay. Very hard for a one man show to drill post holes. LOL. This will save my shoulders a lot of soreness digging fence post holes. I absolutely love this design and your wash plant design as well. I use a hand held auger and it really jerks you when I hit a rock, I run the material thru a drywasher. Great video buddy.

That is a commercially made gas powered shop vac that can be purchased through most prospecting supply stores. They are about $300. Glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for watching !

You aint kidding on torque lol i worked a Pto driven auger on the back of my fathers tractor we were drilling holes for apple trees in an old glacier till pit that had nothing but round rock in it. That auger was a 10 inch abd beat the hell out of us lol.

@@allansgoldmining The Auger was very old so we would have to stand on the frame of rhe auger so it would drill straight otherwise the rocks would make it jump and drill crooked.

Could this be done with a drywasher? I would like to make a unistrut version of your frame to be able to fit it in my truck..
I don't see why not. Give it a try. Mine easily fits on the bed of my Silverado. I think you could size down the base (L x W) by 12" and should do well. Best of luck to you !
U need a mini excavator with an auger
In order to operate something like that on federal lands requires permits and bonding. This rig is below their requirements, therefore, no need to permit.
I think this would work great on Nome Beach.
Hey, not a bad idea ?? I'm sure there's layers of gold deposits below the surface folks are missing. I've seen videos of folks digging gold on surface red sand, but not going deep.

The ground I'm currently working is a placer deposit (secondary enrichment) that runs about 1.7 grams per cubic yard. As a single operator using pick & shovel, it's not that great. However, from a production standpoint it's very profitable. The material is mostly comprised of metamorphic rock and clay. Generally speaking, the district is not very rich. The largest placer mine produced only 1,500 ounces of gold. Largest nugget ever recorded was 7 ounces. Most of the gold deposits are spotty, while low grade gold appears to be sprinkled everywhere.

Sounds like a Bob cat with a Bucket would be in store .or a Mimi backhoe with a Bucket . And Grizzle bars that can easily be moved. The Drill You made is nice . But the strate line. You could be missing the Yellow that is a foot or 2 on either side. I'm not telling You what to do just trying to wrap my head round to . Thank God from spell ✔️ up in washington and Idaho . There were Guys that wold sent up a Grid say 10 x10 following the yellow . They go 3 ft apart . I knew of a Witcher also. With copper long Brazeing rods .

@@LUCKYB. appreciate your thoughts ! Perhaps punching a few more holes closer together might help. My goal that was just to get a taste of what's there. Honestly, I'm not too concerned about the gold recovery. The equipment functionalities is my focus. The district is reasonably close to where I live, so it's easier drive. There are more rich areas, but require hours of driving to get there. So, I just work with what I have. 👍😀 Indeed, a small excavator and a couple conveyors are in future plans for sure. 👍

Oh, no doubt there's undiscovered pockets out there. I found a little small one a few years ago that yielded 1/4 oz. A backhoe with an auger PTO would be fantastic, but unfortunately would require permits and bonds with BLM. They told me as long as my rig was under 10hp, I didn't need paperwork. So, it's a trade-off. Yeah, always hope to hit the big one someday. Thanks for your encouragement ! 🤠👍
