I bought my first Simplified Planner (daily) last year and have LOVED it, but was so curious to see it compared up against their weekly version, and this video answered all of my questions! Still hemming and hawing as to which one to get 😂, but this video has shown me all I wanted to see to help me better decide which one to choose! Really, the only two things I wish I could change with the daily is that Saturday and Sunday would be full day spreads, and that the coil would be even more smooth, as I have trouble sometimes (though, admittedly, it is rare) with the covers/pages getting "stuck" on the coils when trying to open it to fold over. Still, the best planner I have ever had, and will continue on with EL!
I am so glad this video was helpful:) Have you checked out my Top 5 Daily planners video? they might have one you like with the Sat/Sun full pages and a spiral coil (like the EC). Although I think you love Simplified from your comment and are staying with them. Which I completely understand because I used their daily for 5 years myself!
I've used the daily Jan-Dec hydrangea Simplified Planner this year for work, and I 💜💜💜 it! Just nothing like it here in Australia! Can't wait to order my next one later in the year for 2023. Blue bonnet daily for me for next year. And i got the monthly calender, which i use with my budgeting (BBP planner from The Budget Mom) So excited! Great video 💜🌻🥰💞

This video came out when I was preparing for a work trip. So I didn't have time to watch. Great video as always. I only got some Charlotte Street items during launch. I was planning to get the rest the mini notebooks but was kind of bummed that they were changed. I still may grab them since the designs are so pretty. I have time to think on if I want get a calendar year Dapperdesk. Love the pouches! I have one big and two small ones.

Loved this review! You always put your all into your reviews, and it shows! 💕 You are going to laugh at me, but I’ve been feeling the itch to try the Simplified daily. The more I’ve looked at it, the more I like it. I actually like the page layout better than the EC daily duo because less of the page is devoted to the timed schedule. And those covers this time around! 😍 But it’s mostly the page layout and the colors on the tabs that I’m really interested in. I feel like it has the happy color feel of the EC but with a page layout that would be more functional for the way I plan.

I see a lot of interesting things I didn’t get on launch day, and honestly I really do wish Emily gave you a box of new merch to review leading up to launch day because it’s so hard, so overwhelming, and therefore so STRESSFUL to decide and the Pinstripe sold out so I always ride with a fear of urgency. You always do such an amazing review, love seeing all the interior pops of color you don’t see on the website, or at least not well enough, and your ideas for uses are so helpful. I know it takes you a lot of time and energy to plan out and film these and you don’t get any compensation so thank you so very much and I buy from your links 💛

I want to try other planners, but I cannot help how much I love her planners. I tried another one that you reviewed (your reviews are ENTICING!!), but I didn't like it at all. I thought that I would love it.
This comment might sound strange but here goes. I love the Simplified Weekly and Dapper Desk. My only problem was that the print was so small and delicate that I could not read it without my reading glasses, which was kind of a hassle. In your video I am not sure I can tell the difference in the ink, but I guess it's worth a try. I am happy to see tabs in the Dapper. I enjoyed the look and feel of that one when I had it.
Hi Anita:) As someone who has to wear reading glasses also I understand! I can still see the print without my glasses but I only wear 1x. The print is much darker this year...I am not sure if that will help you though- because for me it's really about the size of the print and not how dark it is. Although being dark does help some;)

Love this video. Have used Simplified for 3 years. I love all their new covers but have not bought a planner yet. Butterfly Garden is my 1st choice right now but gonna order a mini notebook to see how it looks. I have the fuchsia planner this year, love Charlotte Street but may not want pink again. I close my planner everyday so I can see my cover. Little disappointed the paper doesn't have as much tooth as before. Love the new mini notebook covers ....I didn't like the old hard covers.

That lemon bees cover is my new favourite simplified planner cover. I haven’t used simplified in 2 years though. Once I started using a weekly (not simplified) I barely used my daily planner. So I can’t justify paying for a simplified planner when I barely use it. Maybe I should get a couple of the notebooks in that cover.

Glad I hesitated on the other 5 year journals. Something about these journals I'm loving. I couldn't decide on 2 colors. I used your $10off and got the journal bundle. Which was free shipping so it came out less per journal that way. (no doubt I'll find a use for them, the hot pink I may gift - Ha) I love it being a tad bit bigger than A5 and lined pages. I do wish the pages were Ivory but they don't look overly bright white. I calculated that if I use 2 journals (Yellow for spring/summer and Blue for fall/winter) then I could use a page a day divide like a 5yr journal. Since it's 200 pgs per book that means i could do 6months and have 16-19 pages left for "bonus/overflow pages" (an idea I loved from the Five Little Lines review you did) Or I could use it for specials events or summaries. It just felt perfect - costly, but perfect. Thank you for your reviews they have been so helpful! I actually learn a lot. Any particular pen seem to work better on the test? I like your idea of using a different color per year.
Oh, I love that you are being so creative! You will love using these beauties! I am using a pentel energel .5 in mine right now and love it. I've also used a pentel .7. I love the flow on the paper. I think it takes most pens well. Those are just one of my favorite pens to journal with;)

Love Simplified as a company and have bought from them before but, in this season of life I am in, their planners just don't work for me as someone with larger loopy handwriting. The spaces are too small. I am in the group on Facebook though and their "sisterhood" is amazing. Best little helpful group on the internet truly.

Amanda , did you notice a difference in the brightness of the coil from last year to this year? Some are saying it’s not the bright gold like previous years.
So excited for this video! I just got to the pen test portion. Do you think any of your pens would smear on the new paper that didn’t smear on the old paper?
I didn't feel that way with any of my pens....nothing like that stuck out to me...and I just went back and tested a few. while the paper is not the same- the pens seem to react pretty similar in that department. It does feel a bit different to write on each one. Pilot G-2 smear on both papers...and Pentel energel and sarasa dry both are the best for not smearing:) I personally love the glide of the pentel energel on this paper;) I hope that helps! I wish companies would send a paper sample for a small fee because I feel like there is no way to tell if you will love the paper without trying it!

So I received my dapper desk and honestly I hate it! It’s flimsy and the binding is delicate and pulling away from the spine even tho I was gentle. I doubt it’ll hold up for an entire year. Definitely moving to EC!
I am so sorry Desiree! Was their your first year to try it? I think you can try to sell it somewhere in a BST group on FB- I have heard a lot of people do that. I have several friends that have loved DD...But certainly understand if it's not for you. I wouldn't call mine delicate at all. I think it will hold up the entire year.
To my knowledge they are not making an "academic" planner...This is called the academic year planner because it starts in August and runs 12 months and covers the school year instead of the calendar year. The only new product I have heard them say they are coming out with soon is a Homeschool Planner....they already have a Teacher lesson planner out. Let me know if I misunderstood your question. And I assume you are asking about weekly & Daily planners- because I always need my Monthly Notebook Planner from Ashley Shelly-then...Erin Condren Vertical, Golden Coil, Planner Perfect TNs that have weekly and daily pages. No, there are 200 pages. I think it would be way too thick at 365 since this paper is thicker. The only journal I know of with 365 pages is Stalogy (which I am sure you know about;)

Pilot G-2 smear on both papers...and Pentel energel and sarasa dry both are the best for not smearing:) I personally love the glide of the pentel energel on this paper;) I hope that helps! I wish companies would send a paper sample for a small fee because I feel like there is no way to tell if you will love the paper without trying it!

They list it as the same paper...but it doesn't feel exactly the same to me or look the exact same color. But it's close...
So I received my dapper desk and honestly I hate it! It’s flimsy and the binding is delicate and pulling away from the spine even tho I was gentle. I doubt it’ll hold up for an entire year. Definitely moving to EC!
I am so sorry Desiree! Was their your first year to try it? I think you can try to sell it somewhere in a BST group on FB- I have heard a lot of people do that. I have several friends that have loved DD...But certainly understand if it's not for you. I wouldn't call mine delicate at all. I think it will hold up the entire year.
Are pens more smearable on softer paper like Plum vs something toothier like Erin Condren?
Pens do smear more easily on smooth paper vs toothy paper like EC yes--that is my experience;)
Do you know when their academic planner will launch and will you review it?
To my knowledge they are not making an "academic" planner...This is called the academic year planner because it starts in August and runs 12 months and covers the school year instead of the calendar year. The only new product I have heard them say they are coming out with soon is a Homeschool Planner....they already have a Teacher lesson planner out. Let me know if I misunderstood your question. And I assume you are asking about weekly & Daily planners- because I always need my Monthly Notebook Planner from Ashley Shelly-then...Erin Condren Vertical, Golden Coil, Planner Perfect TNs that have weekly and daily pages. Is there 365 pages in each journal?
No, there are 200 pages. I think it would be way too thick at 365 since this paper is thicker. The only journal I know of with 365 pages is Stalogy (which I am sure you know about;)
My only wish is that she would have the day start at 5 am. I always have to write it in. Or, if she left the times blank that might be a great option.
Good ask...I think many ppl have to wake at 5am and some like to map out their day starting when they wake.
