I love how Bedrock players are looking farward to Mojang breaking all of their creaper farms as they will get to design new farms...... while Mojang is still scared of angering Java players by removing a huge bug that allows them to build on the nether roof! 😂

The raid mechanic update is definitely a great thing. It'll save so many lives, both villager and player, because unintended raids are a thing of the past. It also makes stacking raid farms so much easier, as you can afk to get the potions, and then take them out to an ocean, set up 4 villagers in the corners of a 96x96 square, set up 4 platforms towards the player, and run 4 raids at a time. While you still have to drink a potion to start every raid, running 4 at a time at your leasure is a huge improvement to the pain stacked raid farms were before

Copper trap door is far too expensive...54 ingots for 2 trap doors.. the bulb saves copper. Tuff blocks are ok, but I still prefer deepslate. Trial chambers had 0 interest for me but now I will definitely be raiding them for a mace and trims and the other unique bits, but I'm not excited about it. Dog variants where a good unexpected surprise along with tnt parity. Overall the most exciting bit for me is the crafter. All my farms will need a rework to incorporate them, and that's more exciting to me than fighting my 12th ominous chamber and still not getting my heavy core. They still haven't fixed bedrock health regen and that's going to make our trial runs that much harder.
Still say it's an overall 7 out of 10, there's just some things I really wish they would address that revolves around this combat trial. The aforementioned health regen, the non functional off hand making wind charge to mace combo harder to pull off, no spectral arrows to better track mobs your fighting in the confined space in the chambers....bedrock needs some love still.

Trail chambers are a breeze with full prot 4 diamond armor and spam attack. I was able to get 5 heavy cores by exploring 8 trial chambers prior to the ominous update. Will be much harder now. I did my first ominous trial yesterday in a room with 2 spawners, a little more difficult for sure and my ominous loot was trash

I made a railway down to one and slowly mine it away until I have the copper that I need, the new tuff blocks are the BEST stone blocks in the entire game for me, I build a house out of them, copper and spruce and it fits really well, I honestly forgot that the crafter existed, exploring and fighting a trial chamber was honestly the most amount of fun I had in a lot time playing this game

I hope they add some sort of Cooldown for the Trial Chambers for a full reset. Kind of like the weekly reset cooldown on Raids in World of Warcraft (at least back when I was playing it), and I think there was a 24hr cooldown for Heroic Dungeons too, so that would work as well. That way you can run your "dailies" (iykyk) in Minecraft.

    Another great summary !
Blocks: 8/10 - very excited for the copper blocks even though they are a bit on the expensive side
Technical: 10/10 - the crafter and TNT drops is all I need tbh, the ideas for new farms/factories are ridiculous and so exciting!
Mobs: 7/10 - not particularly excited with this category as of now (I have not actually tested 1.21) but seems to be a tad underwhelming for my style of play, will see once it's released of course
World: 3/10 - would've liked to see another biome as well and the trial chamber is meh at best, trial chambers don't appear to be all that exciting as of yet to me. Would've liked to see something with the Nether or End tweaks to make a bit more exciting, perhaps with 1.22?
Other: 6/10 - Happy to see the "parity" to Java with the ominous events /raid nerf but aside from that the mace and decorative additions are just another meh overall
All of that being said, I am very excited for the update and would say 7/10 with sight unseen and steps in the right direction with the game. Also, the devs still have so much to work with for future updates and while keeping the game pure to it's base. Looking forward to this and future updates as well. Great summary overall! Keep it up with the great content!

Block - would like to see them do more w/ other blocks like they did w/ TUFF ..
Technical - Crafter is huge change to MC .. can't wait to see my fav MCers use of it, the nerfs as you put it .. I am OK w/ it
    Mobs - I am OK w/ it ...
World - Not much there for me
My one major comment: Trial Chamber - it just isn't something I care about .. I love it and if I find one I might check it out .. I don't need it to go after the dragon .. why work so hard to find something just to find it - if you play for just the challenges as a single player it is an achievement and it doesn't draw me to it ... make it part of the need to win and make it something on a MAP so you can find it .. makes it a fun thing to do now.
SMP ... great love it .. I think it is to hard to find still take the fun out of it
    Overall a good update ..

B 9 (copper trap door recipe stinks), Tech 9.5 (raid nerf is only bad point because it is a change i am unsure how it will affect me in my play style); mobs 8 (dog/armadillo update and breeze not the bogged), world 8.5 (exploring and or raising a cartographer to "naturally" find a trial chamber is unpleasant), other 9.5 as all these mechanics are quirky and fun looking (plus bad omen is a choice) which brings it to a 9 in all.

I figured out pretty quickly that if you can only open a vault once, it's going to make trying to find items from the vaults and ominous vaults really difficult if you can only open them once. I heard something abojt the heavy core only having a 2% rate of generating which means you are going to have to open around 50 vaults to find one....... that's a LOT of trials chambers to have to find!! I think that Mojang needs to make it possible to open the ominous vaults more then once or they are going to loose their appeal VERY quickly..... especially when people are trying to farm the ominous potions as well

    • @nisseheim4996
      @nisseheim4996 Месяц назад

There's more than one vault per chamber though and currently the chance for the core is 8%. As of now you'll have to open 12 omnious vaults on average to get it. With an average of 6 vaults per chamber you're going to have to raid 2-3 trial chambers to get the mace.

We need mob varieties, I'm glad we are getting more wolves.
That said I'd like to see more parity, they recently updated the dispencer but it still can't place armour stands.
Not a big deal but it would be cool to be able to sort armour away from other nonstackables without the need of an allay.
It's been a bug report for over 3 years.
I get the response of we don't have amplified worlds because phone can't run it so why would they work on it, but I'm Wondering why we don't have custom super flats?
On top of that I've crash alot recently, I haven't been able to write on a sign for months.
Every time I try my game crashes, not to mention in order to play I have to open it twice because the first time it always crashes.
There's been reports of ps5 players having their console freeze and force a reset/unplug from the wall.

  • @GiggityxGamer
    @GiggityxGamer Месяц назад

Good video other than final rating logic. Doesn't make much sense to just take an average of the categories. A major update doesn't need to include every single category. Like if they made a new dimension from the portal in ancient cities in 1.22 and it was a perfect 10/10 dimension with new mobs and blocks but didn't add any redstone or technical stuff I wouldn't say the update wasn't 10/10 because it lacked something it wasn't trying to do.
This update is one of the best in a long time. They're adding great technical changes, making dogs useful and cool to collect again, adding interesting new mobs and structures, and some good block version additions.

I feel like, maybe excluding the nerfs to mob farms, these two updates will help to round out some existing mechanics in the game pretty well. It’s not an insane world bending update exactly but, it will be a welcome change to how you approach the game. Just my opinion though.

I feel like when it comes to a farm, like the raid farm. If you think its too over powered, then just dont build it and do raids the intended way. If you think its too over powered but you still have regular mob farms, that seems a bit hypocritical to me. Farming regular mobs for their drops is acceptable but farming pillagers for their drops isnt acceptable.
Maybe it wont be as bad as i think but i wish they would stop taking away from bedrock. Its time java loses some things.
Im curious, i saw a bowtie style creeper farm years ago that wouldnt work in bedrock. Would that work now?

I really cannot rate the “world” and “other” without knowing the following:
a- How many physical vaults are in a trial chamber structure? Meaning, whats the total number of keys that can be used in a single structure? (Id prefer multiple access to vaults, especially since core is so rare and seems the biggest reason to find a trial chamber to begin with)
b- Will the spawner loot (ominous and regular) make a chamber worth returning to after exhausting the vault(s)?
c- You show that there are maps to locate trial chambers; but since chambers will be further away from each other now, how far would you need to travel in order to find a village within range of a new chamber once you’ve exhausted the vault(s) of your current one?
Blocks: why cant we get stairs, slabs, and walls in calcite, concrete, and terracotta (or any other blocks that dont have them)? Tuff and copper stairs etc are great to have, esp excited for grates! 10/10
Tech: the crafter is exciting. Playing w it lightly shows that it takes up a lot of room to implement into my iron farm, but totally worth it. tll be interesting to see how the bulb can be implemented in redstone builds. Love the tnt change. Personally, im glad some “java only” farms will now work in bedrock. 10/10
Mobs: breeze drop & wolf/ wolf armor changes. 10/10
Other: cant rate trial chamber structure w/o further info.
Mace- the breeze rod is part of the mace construct. The mace should have an auto wind charge, it only makes sense. If a player doesnt want wind charge on their mace, there could be an enchantment to remove that. Leading into enchantments issues: the devs havent removed/wont remove “too expensive” on the anvil. With the mace so rare, changing its enchantments to suit my game play at any given time shouldnt be limited by the anvil. For that matter, nothing should be limited like that.
Banners, trim, sherds, potions - more varieties of each are always good.
Theres a lot the update brings and i love it. Based on what is actually being added/implemented in this update and expecting that there are several of both ominous and regular vaults in a single structure, 9.5/10 overall.

    • @CatWithALime

Let’s start by saying this is an overall well balanced update, since it gives things to most categories of players. That being said, I am a builder/explorer. My block rating is 8/10, 9/10 if they fix the copper trap door recipe. Technical is tough since I’m not a technical player, so let’s give it a 7/10 based on reactions I’ve heard from my tech friends. Mobs scores a 5/10 since I will absolutely avoid fighting whenever possible, so new hostile is a negative for me. World gets a 5/10; I’m an explorer and look forward to finding and exploring the chambers, not a fighter so I don’t want to fight my way through them. Other is a 6/10; ominous events, maces, and vaults do nothing for me, but banners, trims, sherds, and potions are nice. Average score 6/10 personally, but I’d say 8/10 overall for variety, creativity, and the procedural generation of trial chambers.

RAID farms were game-breaking too powerful. The only fun was just building the farm to see it work but after that, it made the game kinda boring. From a practical standpoint, I love being able to control when raids happen. It was so annoying to have to find a bucket/cow to remove the Bad Omen effect or, even worse, have it automatically trigger in a village you wanted to keep safe (or breeder). It's certainly a trade but for me it is worth it. The most ideal way to address this would have to put this behind a toggle so we could have it both ways - like an "auto raid" toggle and let the new way be the default.

  • @mackenziedrake

I can forgive a lot for the sake of autocrafting. That's an 11/10 change. I lean toward steampunk in my builds, so I love the new copper items, but the cost is obscene. I'm looking forward to the new farms and redstoning in bedrock, though. My current things are pretty simple and thus stable, but it would be wonderful to see some more parity with java redstone potentials.

I'm mainly not happy about the raid farm nerf. I don't mind them making totems more rare or something but I don't like how much harder they are to get now. I hope at some point people manage to make a way to get them easily still or they add another way to get them that's easier and more renewable.

@Minipsil , the raid farm nerf doesn't really nerf totem availability. Because you don't need a fast farm for totems. What this really nerf is the witch drops and emeralds Because that's things you can reasonably use in mass quantities.

This update offers plenty for most types of players. Tech players get the crafter, copper bulbs, and some parity changes on the bedrock side. Builders get copper and tuff variants. Explorers get trial chambers to seek out, new armor trims and banner patterns to find, as well as new wolf variants to find. Adventurers get a new PvE related challenge, on top of a new system for raids. PvP'ers get the mace, along with it's unique new enchants.
Definitely plenty here for many different types of players.
