- I tried to find a rental car to head down to some better spots, but every rental car agency in Loreto was all out. The result was me heading back to the rocks I had fished off of several times now. I tried fishing some more open water again instead of the water near the actual rocks and was rewarded with two beautiful yellowfin croakers (Umbrina roncador). Identifying these from Cortez croakers (Umbrina wintersteeni) and surf croackers (Umbrina xanti) was difficult, but my fish had 7 anal rays while the other two species should have 6.

Your fishing videos are excellent and I really enjoy them. Your music selection is also nice. Not distracting at all like it is with so many videos
Thank you very much. Glad you like them.
No fishing channel beats the scenery of this one.🤌🤌🤌 Chubby little bullseye puffer. Those drum were putting that reel to work. “Authentic Mexican Experience”. 😂 Man I was in Cozumel once and did same thing. Drank a canned soda.. but over a cup of ice and ate the ice. Woke up in the middle of the night sick as a dog. Good times.😄
Thank you. The fish are always the focal point and the coolest, but I also like to make sure I share some of the beauty the different parts of our planet have. The worst part about the food poisoning is that I tried so hard to make sure I didn't drink any tap water, but I slipped up. Oh well. Seems like many people have had similar experiences and you're proof of that lol
Looks like Cabo San Lucas. I live vicariously through your fishing videos.
Very similar, I'm sure. I've never been to Cabo San Lucas, but it appears to be the same type of geography/geology. I'd love to make it over there one day.
You got Montezuma's Revenge!
Unfortunately I sure did.
If you catch a brand new species for your life list could you put down New Species next to the name of the fish so we know you caught a new species for your life list because it can be confusing sometimes 🙏 I know you might say new species some times but I can never tell if you mean new species just for the trip but you've caught it somewhere else or as in new species you've never caught before.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep it in mind and see how I can fit that in.
