Voctave is an 11-member a cappella group based in Central Florida, United States. The group consists of several performers from the Voices of Liberty a cappella group at the American Adventure pavilion at the Epcot theme park at the Walt Disney World resort. The group often performs intricate arrangements of music from Broadway, Disney, jazz standards, and Christmas music. Among the unique characteristics which set the group apart from other a cappella groups is an extremely wide vocal range of 5 full octaves.[1]

Agreed that Disney Princess Medley is great. And check out Mary Did You Know. Amazing arrangement and performance with Voctave and Mark Lowry (who wrote the song, which adds a very special touch to this rendition)… and it’s another version of that song for you. And yes, more Kate eargasms of course! 🥰

Yes, as Ken mentioned in his comment, Kirstin and Jeremy were in a relationship at this time. Apparently a toxic one and Kirstin bailed in time. Now a new mom and in a much better relationship. All of the guys in Pentatonix seem really happy for her. P.S. I believe Voctave has a history with Disney and sound so fantastic doing Disney music.
This is a good introduction to Voctave. Next you need to follow up with You will be found, All is Well, This is my wish/Let there be peace, and all the Disney Medlys. Great reaction by the way. Kirsten and Jeremy are fabulous and the choir is epic. Kate is a Soprano One which is as you know, is the highest vocal range.
You Will Be Found is great, Prince of Egypt Medley, Disney Princess Medley, and Disney Heroes and Villians Medley. If you want a sillier side and were a Disney Channel kid, 90s Cartoon Medley is great too
Such professionals! My favorite from them is their Great Movie Medley, a breathtaking hommage to John Williams’ masterpieces. The arrangement is stellar. 🤗
Kirstin has done much more than just Pentatonix. She has produced her own album, LOVE, and had a lead on Broadway’s Kinky Boots. Recommend her live acoustic version of her song, Break A Little.
Also , recommend Pentatonix‘s live performance of Water from their Popspring 2016 concert appearance. Kirstin co-wrote it and sang lead. The whole live four song set is worth a reaction.

You mentioned the chemistry - the two lead singers, Kirstin Maldonado (from Pentatonix) and Jeremy Michael Lewis (from another a cappella group) were actually engaged to be married when they did this. You might have heard about Pentatonix being on a TV show for a cappella groups called The Sing Off. They won in 2011, and went back on the show as guest stars in 2013, and Jeremy's group was competing that year. They met and hit it off - but later called off their engagement, but the chemistry was there at the time.

and songs that absolutely need a reaction but do not currently have a video just audio (though it has been hinted that there may be something coming possibly) are the Prince of Egypt Medley and the Disney Heroes and Villians Medley (features the 6 Voctave men)
You will not be disappointed with any of these choices. Some of the newer ones are more music video-ish due to recording them during COVID and they had to do things one at a time
Many of the Voctave members have, or continue to, perform in Voices of Liberty (or Liberty Voices) in Epcot singing old school Americana music.
Voctave, like many a capella groups, is oddly better in person. And, given what you just heard, it seems impossible to be better than this. But they are astonishingly good. It's a privilege to hear them

I can't get enough Voctave!
I like this one fine but I feel like it's mainly so popular because of Kirstin, there are other songs by Voctave I like way more. You could check out You Will Be Found, Mary Did You Know (with the song's writer as their guest singer), Where Are You Christmas and O Come All Ye Faithful for some of their, in my opinion, best work.
Kate's final note in "Mary, Did You Know?" is the best illustration of vocal control I think I've ever heard: it's high, it's soft, and it sounds effortless. Their arrangements are epic and their talent is incredible. Plus, how much Kleenex did you need for "Where Are You, Christmas?"
I think I remember someone pointing out that Kirsten is experienced enough at this point because of Pentatonix to make this another day at the office for her. She is very, very good at her job but she has heard a lot of talent by now. Jeremy, however, hasn't been in an environment that is at this level very much at all and you can just see him reacting to the sheer volume of talent that he's hearing.
Voctave's "Disney Princess Medley" should close the deal plus you will need a new pair of socks...

Kirstin gave birth last week to Elliana Violet, Evie for short, with her significant other Ben Hausdorff.
So..most people think about Kristen..and she's awesome. BUT Voctave is the real treat here..!
Voctave can do both wrong as far as I'm concerned. I had the pleasure of seeing them live in concert this past spring, and believe me, they sound just as polished, synced, and full live as they do on video.

Hi Skullz! I see that you have reacted to Voctave's "Disney Princess Medley" so my comments here will confirm what you watched and listened to in your "Disney Princess Medley" reaction.
In late 2015, when Voctave recorded the "Disney Love Medley", there were only 8 members in the ensemble (i.e. 2 sopranos, 1 soprano/alto, 1 alto, 2 tenors, 1 tenor/baritone and 1 bass). In May of 2017, when Voctave released the "Disney Princess Medley", there were 11 members in the ensemble. They added 1 alto, 1 baritone/bass and 1 bass.
In 2020, the tenor/musical director, Tony De Rosa, and the bass, J. C. Fullerton, left Voctave and were replaced by tenor, Drew Ochoa, and bass, Aaron Stratton.
Like how both you and Jeremy keep grinning and shaking your heads when Kate hits a high note. He's not reacting to Kirstie. He's reacting to Kate. There's a video of rehersal where Jeremy is so flabbergasted that he stops singing and they all start laughing at/with him.

Great reaction!! I think Voctave has a fantastic sound, with very talented singers, that high soprano is other worldly. I just don't think of them in the same category as Voiceplay, Home Free or Pentatonix. Because they have more than twice as many voices, my mind puts them in a choir category. Still beautiful, but not the same.
