WOW - that was a Huge clean out. I'm impressed that you did it all in one day. It looks so much better and she'll feel good when she opens the closet now. Nicely done!
Becky is a cool friend for being on a decluttering video. Carla your a cool friend for helping Becky declutter. Good vibes all around. Thanks for sharimg Becky and Carla.
I hope she's into decluttering from now on and can do this more often, especially if she's moving. You're so sweet for helping her. I had to do this alone the first time I moved and it was hard af lol
I’m sure that she’s feeling so much better now. I’m watching this from a waiting area in Paris getting ready to go back home after 3 weeks in the UK & France. I have already realized that I simply have too many things & this trip has proven that. If I can live out of a small suitcase for 3 weeks then I can do that at home!
Something Carla's sister said about staying in an air BNB. Makes me think staying in one for a week a year, would give me the perspective to live simpler & stop buying.
I love Carla's vids, because they are so relatable to us over consumers. The vids where they're complaining about how much stuff they have and their "mess is my goal" are defeating for me.
Becky and Carla did such a great job decluttering. It's like peeling an onion, layer by layer and it gets easier and easier to declutter more. So nice to see you are still friends since school days.
Becky is adorable :) I do think she will regret not getting rid of more when she's moving though lol. I'm moving right now and have 1/4 the amount of stuff and I am lowkey dying :) Also just wanna suggest that she should label everything ASAP! It's surprisingly easy to forget what's in bins. You both did an amazing job though, I can't believe this took 1 day. This would take me weeks. Last thing! Thank you so much for showing the actual REMOVAL process!! This is somehow the hardest part for me. I declutter and then leave a pile of junk in the corner for weeks/months sometimes, ugh.
it's the hardest part for all of us!! Taking it all the way out of the house and off to to the donation center 😅 and yes the labeling needs to happen asap!! Good luck with the move!!
If it's not too late to add this comment, it would also be a good idea to label which room the items are going. We moved 23 years ago without labeling the rooms: many items needed to be downstairs. 😕 Too much unneeded work.
You are so right about changing the energy. I had two big boxes in my bedroom (for a couple of months), that needed to be placed in a room that I was dreading reorganizing. Once I finally removed those boxes, the energy in my room completely changed. It feels so peaceful and calming now:) Kudos to your bestie for making progress...Great job👍🎈
Sampson is the KING of Hype & Helpfulness. And the two of you worked so beautifully together. I'm so impressed with how serene that closet area feels (after), and really the whole space shifted. I truly enjoyed hearing that profound sigh of relief at the end: EXHALE! Smiling. 😍
Hi Carla! What a good friend you are to help sort out her closet - it was like watching a professional organizer! And how sweet of your friend to be willing to be so vulnerable. It was interesting that she said she felt like she could’ve gotten rid of more. I think that’s the feeling most of us get as we declutter - the more we get rid of, the easier it is to let go of more. And, as always, Sampson did a fantastic job of supervising! ❤️🌷
What a dear friend you are to help her. Sometimes, just having a nonjudgemental friend to encourage you, be the voice of reason, & help you see if the object has value or not can be extreamly motivating & helpful. I bet your friend feels a huge weight lifted off her. I'm glad you also showed the things she got rid of being taken out of her home. Maybe in 6 months you can revisit her & go through her closet again. It may be easier for her & maybe she will get rid of even more. Great video!
OMG I woulda quit and laid on the floor when I got all of that closet stuff out where I could see everything! Good for you ladies for getting it done! Looks so much more open and chill now.
I'm dying at "Nah gurl, I'm a minimalist"😂😂You're an amazing friend for helping Becky to declutter her closet. The end result is amazing and a breath of fresh air😃
What an awesome friendship you both have. Becky is a good sport, and you are so sweet to help. Sometimes it’s difficult and overwhelming to declutter alone. But, this was a great start to her moving into her new home. Yay, Becky!!
Great job! I've definitely said, "oh, but I just wore this, I should keep it" to a maybe item before, and then donated it like 2 weeks later. Ruthlessness is hard, but feels so freeing!
Impressive. Wow, kudos to Becky for really streamlining her wardrobe and closet. And to Carla for organizing solutions that really work for her needs. Going from overflowing to stuffed to it-all-fits is no mean feat. How many times have I complained about a lack of space when it really was about what and how much I could reasonably keep in it? Still working on that. I love the feeling that comes with seeing items go off to other homes, and folks who need and will love them. It's a win/win. Thanks to you both for this; I'm inspired!
someone gave me a great tip when decluttering my closet and they said this does this item of clothing bring you joy.. it really worked I kept stuff that i LOVED and got rid of stuff that I just didnt really like.. you guys did a great job well done!
You two did an amazing job. She got rid of a lot! When she said that she could have gotten rid of more, I laughed. I said the same thing when I started my journey.
It looks fabulous! It's ok to let go, Becky! The memories are in your heart and mind, not in the object. And I love the new Ruggable, it looks great in your living room.
This was such a great video. It almost made me emotional what an impact a great friend can make. I'm sure Becky felt heaps lighter mentally and there has come off a big weight of her shoulders by decluttering her closet. You ladies are amazing! Im quite a minimalist myself because of limited space and I love clean and decluttered spaces, so I help my friends organizing. I love helping them and seeing them feel alot better afterwards ❤️❤️
That was exactly me before. I started decluttering april 2020 and i barely threw anything out. I revisited areas every 3-6 months and knew “ok i clearly dont need and use these so goodbye” and it kept getting easier and easier. Now i get rid of stuff just as it clicks into my mind that i know i still own it and i get rid of it so fast. My stuff were 80% declutter and 20% garbage and recycle, plus i always had a second home for my stuff to go to. Lots of my coworkers took stuff and some few family members
One thing that really helps me when I declutter is thinking about my age. Time flies the older we get. Do I make time to enjoy those things at this age? Idk if that makes sense, but I find that it helps me. Also, I struggle with decluttering jeans. They are always too small and I keep hoping to fit into them.
This was spiritually, mentally, and emotionally cleansing to my soul. It was so nice to watch. I didn’t even think I would watch so much of this video. This was truly a healing experience for me. Wishing you such a happy future. So proud of you because it is a difficult process. 🎉🎉🤩
When decluttering clothes, I have found it really helpful to pick your favorites, and make outfits down to the accessories. If you have things you love, that don't really go with anything you own, it's ok to buy something to pull an outfit together, but it needs to also go with other things you already have. The area to be really ruthless is unflattering cuts and colors. Even if you do wear it often, sometimes you need an honest friend's, "Girl. No!" It's also easier to let go of something you like but that doesn't flatter you if you can figure out what it is that you like about it. Then you can figure out a way to enjoy whatever that is; make wiser purchases in fabric or silhouettes you love, or find sentimental momentos that might be easier to store to remind you of the same experience that sentimental clothes might hold for you.
This was such a beautiful transformation. You two have such a beautiful friendship. So thankful that she was gracious to let you do this to help encourage us. Please tell her thank you. I was born in Santa Barbara in Cottage Hospital. Lived down there full time until I was 7 and my parents divorced then it was only during the summers. I miss it down there so much. You both are appreciated so much 💓
So. Much. Stuff. It's so clear when it's not your own. Or when it's not the type of thing you have too much of. Like those tee shirts or the hoodies - I would have tossed all but about five. Or more. But now books or kitchen gadgets... That would be different LOL. That's probably why having someone help - a fresh pair of realistic eyes - is so beneficial.
Hey Carla & Sampson! Hi Becky! You guys did an absolutely awesome job! Everything looks amazing. Carla… You’re such a good friend for helping your friend. You can tell she genuinely appreciated you and your help. Enjoy the newness Becky. Y’all have a good day! 🤍👋🏾👏🏾👍🏾🤎🦴
Well done both of you 👏 It can be an overwhelming and daunting process to begin the decluttering journey. I think it’s wonderful you could be there to help take those first steps 💛 Maybe we will see a part 2 one day even!
I’ve watched this video a few times because it’s so inspirational when cleaning and decluttering. I love that you helped your friend out with such a huge project!
I went into extreme nesting mode when I was 6 mos. pregnant with my 3rd child. I decluttered and organized every room I had in my designated spaces of a home we shared with family. It was hard but I did it. I'm going to have to do it all over again this year with my 3 boys while hubby works so we can prepare to move out of another family home. It's WORK but many hands make lite work as they say! You're awesome for taking up her tasks with her. You're the type of friend I've been praying for for awhile. God bless you Carla. You're so awesome for sharing all this with us so we can be motivated and encouraged in our own journeys.
oh your message touched my heart thank you soooo much jennifer!! sending you good luck and motivation for the move and enjoying the process as much as possible! xo
Wow what a difference! You both did a great job in a relatively short space of time - Decluttering is mentally and physically exhausting but the end result is so worth it good job Becky 🙌 Love to Mr Samson for supervising too ❤️
My closets are fine but you inspired me today to get my house chores all done and even finish a crafting project! Hey, motivation is motivation! It’s all gotta get done. Thanks ladies!
Daaaaammmnnn what a huge difference. Thank you and your friend showing this. Decluttering is hard, but also very satisfying. It makes me to continue right away with my projects
Great organization and decluttering! Yay to Becky for getting rid of a LOT of stuff! Loved the video as always Carla! Hope you and Sampson are doing great! :)
WOW, you so well, especially in one day! I know how you feel it is overwhelming I been decluttering for over the last week and half, had to break it up because it seemed so much!
Congratulaciones! Great job! I once had to declutter my home, then I came with a way to jeep it clean. Every 3 or so months I go round and pick 1 out of ten items on Some places (drawers, closet, etc). Its easier and you feel ok.
Great job Becky! And great support Carla....and Sampson! Putting like with like is so important to get a sense of the amount in each category. Love this declutter!
Wonderful job! Whenever I helped a friend or family member I’d load up the donate and we’d go for a nice lunch part way through to get one round of donations out of the way and then come back refreshed and refocused
Having a friend help you declutter always helps! You guys are so amazing! Not only did you declutter, you got everything that needed to go OUT! Her closet looks WONDERFUL! I'm so happy for Becky! I know how hard that was! But it's DONE! Just keep it up, girl! Such a cool video!!! TFS!
Congratulations to Becky for being open and willing to share her journey. Carla, I admire your positivity - it's a skill to make hard work look so fun . Love to Samson.
wow, well done for helping your friend... I know she says she could have got rid of more...but she can do that next year... I over decluttered and actually regretted a couple my decluttered items.... helpful tip for her hanging clothes...once she's worn and washed...turn the hanger to face the other way ..then in 6-12 months...clothes that are still left hanging the old way...can get put in a charity bag... it works honestly....
Excellent work and a huge decluttering- well done to you both. It’s a great skill and I bet Becky will end up letting go of more things because it makes you much more demanding of what deserves prime real estate in your wardrobe once you start. Well done ladies 🤩
I love that you have them help too. This way, it helps them to maintain. It’s like kids when they make their own money. They respect it more when they earn it be it vs being given.
Fantastic transformation! Isn't it great when you can help others feel that incredibly uplifting sense of well being after a good clear out. Hats off to you for getting it done all in one day, I hope some of that vodka featured in your well deserved celebratory toast 🍸
Great job overall. Letting go is definitely challenging and she did it🎉. Wonderful coaching, Carla and most of all, wonderful job managing and providing comfort Samson. This was a task that has been successfully accomplished by all.
Go, Becky for having the courage to make the big change and refine her clothes collection. Go, Carla! You made it happen for her, although she made the decisions about what to keep and what to get rid of. An interesting video, thank you for sharing it.
I have a feeling that Becky will do a second declutter just like you did 😊 You did an amazing job! Also, of you could do a series of RUclips shorts on how to fold different items like hoodies and shirts, I'd be forever grateful 🤣
Awesome job it motivated me I cleaned pot my closet, my drawers still need more drawers and under the sink, thanks for sharing and helping us at the same time
Great transformation! Decluttering certainly involves lots of little decisions. Becky did a fabulous job letting go. This inspired me to let go of a few more items that I've been holding onto for just in case, because I spent money on them or because it was sentimental.
Omg that was a serious clean up job. So nice getting our things not used. Great donations and Sampson did a great job supervising. Great job Ms. Carla :)
First time watching your video. Everyone needs a friend like you two. Great sport in decluttering letting go and taking that second voice clearing your thoughts. Secondly. Traveling early to help declutter and holding one back. Sometimes we tend to brain freeze. :) Blessings
"we have an emotional support animal ..." and Sampson 🐶🤩🐕 comes running totally proud... he is so sweet 🥺💚
Once you start decluttering you realize how liberating it is and want to keep going and set yourself free!
So true !!
Yessss!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🫶🏽
WOW - that was a Huge clean out. I'm impressed that you did it all in one day. It looks so much better and she'll feel good when she opens the closet now. Nicely done!
Yeah we were surprised how much we could get done and were able to drop it off too! 2 people working together makes a big diff and Samson of course 😂
Without Samson’s watchful eye and scrupulous taste, none of this would be possible. 😉 it looks fabulous ladies!
Hahaha amen 😂
Channel should be called The Samson Project, this boy works too hard for no credit! 😉
@@CurveTheRain I know, right!? 😇
So true👍 He was the Supervisor for this whole operation 🐕😉
It’s crazy what having another person (not attached to your stuff) will do in helping you declutter. ❤️
Becky is a cool friend for being on a decluttering video. Carla your a cool friend for helping Becky declutter. Good vibes all around. Thanks for sharimg Becky and Carla.
thx for watching!!❤️
Yes, I think it’s very brave of her to share this Xx you guys did great! ❤❤❤
I hope she's into decluttering from now on and can do this more often, especially if she's moving. You're so sweet for helping her. I had to do this alone the first time I moved and it was hard af lol
A million times easier to declutter before moving right!! 🙏🏾❤️

I have already realized that I simply have too many things & this trip has proven that. If I can live out of a small suitcase for 3 weeks then I can do that at home!
I know what you mean! Traveling always makes me realize how little I actually need to live!! Hope you had a fabulous trip!!😍
Something Carla's sister said about staying in an air BNB. Makes me think staying in one for a week a year, would give me the perspective to live simpler & stop buying.
Samson the support doggo was so happy to be there! I love how much y'all did in one day!!! Congratulations Becky! 🐶
thank you for watching!!😍
This is the most realistic and affordable declutter I’ve ever seen ❤
I love Carla's vids, because they are so relatable to us over consumers. The vids where they're complaining about how much stuff they have and their "mess is my goal" are defeating for me.

I agree about leaving in a corner what you want to get rid of! I live over 45 minutes either way to drive to where I can drop off things.

to do de cluttering.

You make this all feel achievable.

You are the master of folding and decluttering. Good job from you three. Really inspiring. 🍀🌼
Ok, my biggest takeaway here- I love how you folded the hoodies! I’m totally gonna do that! 😆
You two did an amazing job. She got rid of a lot! When she said that she could have gotten rid of more, I laughed. I said the same thing when I started my journey.
Wow, your friend went through those clothes like a BOSS!!!
I think so too!😍❤️
When she said “we have an emotional support animal” Samson was like “aw heck, that’s my cue!”
😂❤️
So kind of you to help your friend. So kind of her to allow you to share her experience with us.

This was fun! I'd love to see more of her place getting decluttered/organized! You two are gorgeous btw! Thanks for the motivation!
thanks normie!! we may do a part two at some point!

You’re friends bedroom is so cute! ☺️ love the hanging plants and bankers lamp
it is! she has great style!!
She did a great job letting things go! The closet is so much better!
Love this video! Decluttering with friends is the best way to spend a day. You get stuff done and you get to gab the whole time.
It really is!

Excellent work and a huge decluttering- well done to you both. It’s a great skill and I bet Becky will end up letting go of more things because it makes you much more demanding of what deserves prime real estate in your wardrobe once you start. Well done ladies 🤩
Great job! Fun video. Love that you show us the actual purge and trip to the donation centre. Super satisfying.
hardest part is the drop off 😂
I need a Carla in my life!!! Your welcome to help organise here - I’m in the UK !! X
What a great friend you are Carla!
Becky is adorable too!!💞
Looks great,I hope she continues it really changes your life having less
It sure does!
She seems so fun and a fellow blockhead! Love! Great job you two.
Great job. I love declutter people's home I feel it is spiritually uplifting... 👍
I agree!!!
Great job overall. Letting go is definitely challenging and she did it🎉. Wonderful coaching, Carla and most of all, wonderful job managing and providing comfort Samson. This was a task that has been successfully accomplished by all.
Aw thank you sweetie!!
I secretly hope you have many friends to help + show us!! 😅
It was very inspiring & motivating! ♡
Yeah hopefully I can do one of these a month!!💗
Go, Becky for having the courage to make the big change and refine her clothes collection. Go, Carla! You made it happen for her, although she made the decisions about what to keep and what to get rid of. An interesting video, thank you for sharing it.
thank you for watching!!😍
I love that Samson gets the ride upfront 😂❤️
I'm only 2 minutes in and I already know you ladies are both beautiful inside and out. Thank you so much for helping your bestie!
You're the best!❤️
Becky is so lucky to have you! The space looks great now! Great job and well done Carla! ☺️ ❤️
Yes! Thank you!😍
Carla did it again! I love your energy!❤
I have a feeling that Becky will do a second declutter just like you did 😊 You did an amazing job!
Also, of you could do a series of RUclips shorts on how to fold different items like hoodies and shirts, I'd be forever grateful 🤣
I lose all credibility when you see me try to fold a fitted sheet 😂
@@TheCarlaProject we don't talk about fitted sheets here, this is a positive community 🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful video. You guys seem like great friends and I'm so glad you helped her get rid of 12 bags!!!! Amazing.
Awesome job it motivated me I cleaned pot my closet, my drawers still need more drawers and under the sink, thanks for sharing and helping us at the same time
It always feels so great when you can sort thru things. We all have way to much in our homes!! GREAT JOB TO YOU BOTH!!!!!!! 👌👌👌👌
Great transformation! Decluttering certainly involves lots of little decisions. Becky did a fabulous job letting go. This inspired me to let go of a few more items that I've been holding onto for just in case, because I spent money on them or because it was sentimental.
Great jobs, ladies! And special kudos to you, Sampson, for all of the support!
Well done. I would add the container concept as an additional help.
Omg that was a serious clean up job. So nice getting our things not used. Great donations and Sampson did a great job supervising. Great job Ms. Carla :)
thank you😍❤️ he is an excellent supervisor!!
What a delightlfully upbeat person your friend Becky is - thank you so much to her for showing her home. Amazing job Carla!
she really is!! life of the party!!❤️
First time watching your video.
Everyone needs a friend like you two. Great sport in decluttering letting go and taking that second voice clearing your thoughts.
Secondly. Traveling early to help declutter and holding one back.
Sometimes we tend to brain freeze. :)
