A joke obviously, but not purely I take it? I've noticed some form of delay or seeming disinterest in responding to interlopers and such in null. Why is that? Are people scared of breaking rules they didn't know about or maybe traps or something else?
As the proteus that got you at the end I was very surprised, appeared to have more than enough time to get away from me. I was actually after the other chaps but they were hiding too much and I was itching to kill something! :)
Yeah, there was certainly time to escape, but, despite all my PVP experience, I still get a bit of panic shakes when something decloaks on me unexpectedly. It takes me about five seconds to boot up my PVP brain, and then I can react smoothly and calmly, but those first five seconds are a crapshoot. In this case, I clicked align rather than warp and I did indeed align to enough speed to be able to warp, but by the time I realized I hadn't actually clicked warp, I was scrammed. Good catch!
@@QualeQualeson Anything more than a single scram will do it. I roll double scram on my Asteros hunting fit. I have lost too many juicy kills to stabs.
This is great. You have to do something more than just locking targets at a rat site... its like watching paint dry.. this is much more fun and to build the ship in the end is a great reward. Even though it may sting a bit more when you loose it haha
I have been watching for a while and each time I would think "he reminds me of someone and I can't think who" - I just figured out who you remind me of and its Johnny Rotten from the sex pistols! (it may just be the camera effects) 😂Loving these videos, even as a 20 year eve veteran 👍👍
@@brianchristopher8843 Yeah it would definitely be a freebie which is against the spirit of the challenge. Otherwise you could just tell people that you're doing the challenge and ask for all kinds of things and you'd have that Cynabal up and running in no time.
You'll notice in the video that the Sperrylite I was primarily mining was showing an isk estimate that was pitifully low. I'm that belt, the Xenotime was the money. If you were mining for isk, I'm not sure the Sperrylite is more profitable than belt Pyroxeres. I'm sure some groups mine every drop of their moon chunk just because it's there, but licking the plate is not the most isk optimal way to mine a moon.

@@BarrowZiggerNot really made my mind up yet, long time players might remember a story on the forums, someone claiming to be a new player, made up a story about travelling around null sec, it was sort of entertaining, he claimed once they found out he was there he got invited to the main systems and treated well, turns out he was not a new player and the whole thing just an exercise in story telling. you don't get null sec, it takes time to form a 40 man battleship fleet to kill that venture XD

Was waiting for this one saw your venture kill mail filled with moon ore lol
A reminder for anyone wondering why hes imposed all these rules on himself: EvE is a sandbox MMO, the fun is whatever you make it to be.

Third. Sweet, those tech 2 would be fantastic. Good work on the second skin.
Does the challenge block simply asking for permission?
I think it would be against the spirit of the "no assistance from other players" rule
@@tabarnoucheinterplanetary Agreed. TY.
I was wondering the same thing. I'd of just asked lol. Didn't consider it as receiving assistance but that is a fair view too I think.

I thought this part of the challenge was going to be super hard, but I guess groups don't generally mine all of the moon ore in one go, or at all?

Just ask?? they might not mind too much, you are losing too much when reprocessing, wrong station and bad skills.
