Awesome tips! I remember having really low esteem when I was teenager, then going through some tough time here in my early twenties, and i can definitely say those help. I don't think I even consciously tried to apply any tricks to biuld self-confidence, but standing straight with shoulders back, finding motivation to be more proactive and always be there to help others, really does magic. Most of us have a lot to offer and doing one small thing every day that brings you to a goal, teaches you something or helps a person, will make you not only more confident, but a happier person.
@@PhilipVanDusen Thank you! Producing content is one of those things I wasn't confident about. But here I tried, and I lived! 2 out of 5 of my posts were also trending! Sometimes it's just about taking first step. Glad to have you as part of my audience! :)
This video is really helpful...!! I celebrate my accomplishments all time but for some reason, it truly feels like im still lacking a little but of self confidence.
Dashia, as I've said in other videos (that I think you have watched come to think of it) confidence comes from doing something over and over. Confidence is earned over time. Time will provide confidence to you, you just have to keep putting in the miles, so to speak. Thanks for watching, as usual!
Hi Philip! I do not really have problems with self-esteem but it is a good reminder and surely an important video when you feel down! Thanks a lot. And congrats to your cute puppy. Will it also become a YT star? ;-)
Wendy, girl, I have a TON of videos to get you motivated and inspired. Look through my past catalog! Then go out there and kill it! Let me know how it goes.
the more you do something the better you get. the better you get the more confident you are. whilst excellence is the goal, even being just a few steps ahead of the people you are helping is valuable to them. so keep learning, growing and helping others, and keep a good sense of humour, you'll need it when you look back at your old work in a few years! haha
haha you could get some design buddies on the channel dig out those old pdfs and roast each others early portfolios, it would be hilarious and encouraging to those designers starting out too. sometimes we can forget how much we've grown! Great channel, btw, always enjoy your content.
Monty, Thanks so much!~ Can you do me a favor as a small thank you? Please share my video with a friend or two! I'm trying to build my subscribers. More to come!
Maona, do practice interviews with friends or family members or old school mates. Video the interview on your phone. Then watch the interview with your trusted friends and ask for feedback. Watching yourself can be VERY Educational.
Great video Philip! I am forwarding it to my daughters, one of whom is starting a new job. I especially like that part about complimenting others! I haven't thought about it in a while but you are absolutely right. (Plus it raises your status with them! Self serving, I know, but it's good for everyone!) So what's with the J.O. that gave your video a downvote? Bad day? Hope you are doing as well as you look! (David Wallace)
Hey David - great to see you brother! Glad you got some value - and even better value you can share. ...and I know 1 downvote vs 357 upvotes...what's their prob? anyway - even tho' - not a bad ratio...😎

I’ve failed many job interviews and the feedback I get is you’re not confident and you look timid. What can I do to improve?

Right on brother!
Like the periodic video transition fades. Not sure if new but I just noticed them.
Rick - same old transitions. I think the fades are a little longer than usual or something. Have to ask my editor...
This is really inspiring.. God Bless you. I myself is a Graphic Designer and almost crossing my 40's
