Tears come to my eyes. I live in Poland in a small village, we have 50 woman and children. We help them, support them and from our hearts we wish Ukraine to be free of russian aggression. Slava Ukrainie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m a man from Ukraine and I want to say you and your family MANY THANKS for your support to Ukrainians women and children! Ukrainians never forget our enemies and our friends! Freedom and victory to Ukraine! Best regards!
Y'all should perform the song "Anatevka" from Fiddler on the Roof. It's set in Ukraine and thousands of people around the world have seen the film or the play. We know all the words. "A little bit of this A little bit of that. A pot, A pan, A broom, A hat. Someone should have set a match to this place years ago. A bench, a tree. So, what's a stove? Or a house? People who pass through Anatevka don't even know they've been here. A stick of wood. A piece of cloth. What do we leave? Nothing much. Only Anatevka. Anatevka, Anatevka. Underfed, overworked Anatevka. Where else could Sabbath be so sweet? Anatevka, Anatevka. Intimate, obstinate Anatevka, Where I know everyone I meet. Soon I'll be a stranger in a strange new place, Searching for an old familiar face From Anatevka. I belong in Anatevka, Tumble-down, work-a-day Anatevka. Dear little village, little town of mine Come children. Let's leave this place."
Amazing. This reached deep into my soul and offered an outlet for the pain so many are feeling. It also brought joy and nostalgia and calm. As a fellow musician, I believe this is the most important aspect of music.
Just watched on BBC - still crying - this music is far more powerful than bullets - our hearts are with you every step of the way - so sorry we’re not there with you - feel ashamed and am in awe of the Ukrainian spirit - you win in all ways x
There is just something about this piece of music that brings emotion. I can't seem to stop listening to it. And I'm not ashamed by the tears on my face.
our music company in los angeles just donated to your cause. as someone whose grandparents had to flee kiev 100 years ago, from the russian cossacks, we will do whatever we can to support you... ☮
Russia lost the day they thought ukraine would give up. They forgot ukraine is a nation filled with the most profound resilient and incredible people in the world.
This is very moving and far more powerful than any Russian tank could be... and I am very proud to see my cousin Carmine Lauri of Malta 🇲🇹 joining the other 93 violinists in solidarity with the people of Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine - Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 I am sick and tired of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have never fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation. War is hell.
I have just watched this on BBC news channel UK. It literally brought tears to my eyes - it is truly beautiful ♥️ The people of Ukraine are so incredibly strong. We stand beside you 🇺🇦
I have found out what my roots mean and i am so proud of the humanity and respect for life the Ukrainian people show to prisoners and animals. Obviously we must defend ourselves. I wish they weren't forcing us to destroy them. 74,000 Russian lives lost. How many Innocent Ukrainian lives were stolen by Putler’s megalomaniacal soldiers we may never know. It sickens me. May Putler receive the appropriate punishment.
Thank you, Kerenza Peacock for organizing this moving testament to the unification and power of music with the support of musicians and colleagues around the globe.
I've listened to this about 50 times over the last 2 months and have cried every time.. Even though I feel sure at the beginning that I won't this time..
This music touched the deepest part of my heart. Ukrainian is a very brave nation and we stand one with you in our prayers. May God's present cover you whole nation with peace and comfort. BIG HUGS❤
The beauty of the blend of all these violins almost made me forget for one moment why this video exists! It started with Kerenza Peacock reaching out to violinists in Ukraine at the very beginning of Putin's invasion. And now just days later, this beautiful video exists with all these tremendous violinists who really did drop what they were doing to quickly make their videos for this video!
It is almost unbelievable how, in view of what is happening right now in the middle of Europe, something so wonderful can come about. It feels like a minute and a half of concentrated pain. 😢 And hope. ✌Stay strong Ukraine !
I was moved so much by this video that I cried. The war needs to stop. Please be kind to everyone. The mother cradling her dead toddler that was killed by Russian air to ground middles. The wives/children who don’t know when or if they’ll see their husbands/fathers again. And the hospital patients who huddled with their family members in the hospital basement, with dwindling supplies. All these people need our help. To keep alive, to keep fighting, to keep the hope burning in their hearts. Long live President Zelenskyy, a shining beacon of strength, hope and resilience to his people, and long live Ukraine. 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
"Stay strong Ukraine , the good people of the world are with you" ??....Do you mean , The ones that unnecessarily dropped Nuclear Weapons on civilian populations TWICE , killing Hundreds and Thousands of civilians INSTANTLY , Or the one's that GASSED , MURDERED and BURNED , Tens of Millions of people across Europe . Or the ones that DECEMATED and DISPOSSESSED almost every Indigenous Population on Earth ??
My heart was breaking today from video, where small kids stand near bombarded house. Now my heart is filled with hope and good will. Thank you very much, so powerful. Slava Ukraine!
I am too! I crying for the "West" and i can't understand why Germany not going with the Nato Armee in Ukrain and help REALLY! I am ashamed to be a German! Unglaublich ergreifend. 1 Jahr Krieg, Tränen und Leid. Aber auch Mut, Entschlossenheit und Lebenswillen! I Love the Ukraine People und ich wünschte, wir Deutschen hätten mehr Ukraine in uns....
This was beautiful too watch. This is the pure definition of music and the power it has ❤ too think bombs going off and this man found courage too play this in a bunker . . Ukrania we salute you
Danke Illia
What a beautifully fitting piece. Everyone is playing the same melody but just a little bit differently, and, taken together, they form a beautiful harmony.
