- Before Entry Grades, there were the Zeon amphibious mobile suits, and on top of all of them was the Z'Gok from 1999. Let's see if this kit still holds up today.

Yep the Z'Gok ist still great, all it would need as a movable Eye to be a perfect HG.
The RG Z'Gok is also suprisingly sturdy and fun to build.
It could do with a rather simple upgraded "revive" kit, just taking some of the pieces from the Z'Gok Amazing which even without the new weapons has several good upgrades for the kit in it
Definitely agree with this kit being an excellent crash test dummy for techniques. It was my first fully painted kit and at only $9 you can always get another. Love your choice of the Zeon Remnant colors
im glad you point it out that panel line does need to have a purpose and not a fk tons of random line and panel just for the sake of looking good detail wise , because thats what the gunpla modelling scene are missing and overuse
I'm kind of surprised this, or at least the RG, never got a Zeon Remnant color variant as the Unicorn OVA's were coming out.
yeah, I think there was an MG P Bandai version. I guess the other Jaburo assault amphibious mobile suits took the cake.
@@comradegunpla Yeah, I guess the Z'Gok didn't do much besides look cool, unlike the Juaggu or Zogok which were more active in the fight.
Excellent build, coloring scheme and weathering. Fully on board with your analysis of this gunpla kit being a precursor of the entry grade and being easy and a perfect practicing platform. I like the style of your video and subscribed. Cheers!
Idk why, but I just love the look of this kit. I can’t wait to build mine, but I’m a bit scared of the arm and leg joints breaking on me as I’ve heard quite a few stories about the connections breaking after time. Since the kit is kinda cheap I can always buy a new one to replace the broken joints.
Na, this kit is durable
That is a very excellent paint job.
Love the videos man
Great video
What size drill? Also I was looking online and I could only find the HIQ MZ pipe in black. You think that’ll still look good?
Not sure, just wait til the silver ones are back in stock. Drill bits are gonna depend on what sized tube you use. They are usually sold in a set anyways.
@@comradegunplaI’ll be using the 4.0 MZ as yours. So just 4mm drill bit? I’m just alittle confused as this is my first build 😅 I’ve been rewatching your two z gok videos, this is also my first solder project aswell
@@comradegunplawould a 3.0mm-0.5mm drill set work?
Hey I'm planning on colouring my Z'Gok the same way and I was wondering if you could share which paints you used and on which parts?
Tbh I wouldn't be able to since I mix all of my paints. For these I just started with a basic green from Gaia I think? And I just added various amounts of blue/black/yellow to finetune the colors. Sometimes I even mix leftover paints together. I would just have the three primary colors in hand (cyan magenta yellow) so that you can make any color you want.
@@comradegunpla I'll give that a try. Thanks
