@@Trip1443not really. At the time of Universal Century, mobile suits, depending on how advanced they are, could easily be maintained as a car would. You can see so many junk shops in that area sell mobile suit parts or even partially disassembled suits like any car shop would. Even civilians own mobile suits as well.

To be fair the Marine Hizack and Zaku mariner were feddie suits. Based on Zeon stuff and a ton of them got captured by Neo Zeon but thet were arill Feddie builtm
It's very clear both zeon and the Federation had the "the best defense is a great offense" mindset. Zeon Literally was never able to make enough up to date space mobile suits to defend themselves in the final battle of the OYW, and resorted to zaku spam (oddly to varying degrees of success.)

I like to think that, based on the performance we see during Unicorn Gundam, we see that even after decades of arms races, mobile suits actually hadn't change THAT much. During the attack on Torrington, we saw a large amount of OYW era mobile suits deployed against considerably newer EFSF units. And the Federation was only able to push them back after reinforcements arrived.
I know that's not the whole story though. Most of those Zeon pilots were experienced veterans, survivors of the OYW and first Neo Zeon war. And most of the Federal pilots were inexperienced rookies.
However, we are led to believe that each new machine was way better than older models. But if that were true, then even rookies should have had no problem defeating machines that were sometimes 10-30 years out of date. But that isn't what happened. These machines were proof that, despite all the new designs, each design was only slightly better. And sometimes they weren't even really better, just different.
I'd like to point out that even the Torrington base suits were outdated too, but most of those suits were from the Gryps war/ First neo zeon war, so while they may have only been at most 5 years more advanced, we were led to believe in terms of MS development 5 years was more than enough time for an entirely new generation to come along and make older suits obsolete.
I mean we would also expect a Nemo to trounce a Dom, but it didn't work out that way.
@@SlimTheydy Literally every earth use mech should have had Dom feet after the OYW, there's basically no excuse to NOT.

I was always wondering why Zeon seemed to go "all-in" on their development of aquatic MS, and I guess the strategy was to impose a quasi-global naval blockade. Great videos man, these are fantastic.
And they can also use inland water and rivers to sneak around and move faster than Ground Units. Like we see in Vietnam with the Brown River Navy.
My best guess? Zeon has no use for a conventional navy of frigates, destroyers, and carriers.
But Zeon already had the leg up in MS development and any advancements made in developing MS for marine combat could perhaps be applied to either space or ground combat.
It just made sense to stick to what they knew already.
@@SlimTheydy That's a fair assessment, especially when you consider they've already designed a sealed cockpit that has filters (and radiation-proofing in the early days of the war), so taking that and applying it to sea-based warfare doesn't seem like too big of a gulf, since water combat and space combat don't seem too far off in principle aside from depth pressure on the suit.
Also given the strength of mobile suits being on par with that of battleships and submarines the only purpose of subs were just to cover greater distance that the mobile suit could.

In Gihren's Greed Menace of Axis V (which video game only released in Japan), I remember when Z'Gok has another variant. Some Z'Gok has spike ball with rocket launcher on the shoulder. They called it MS-13 Gasshia.

Thunderbolt is not part of the UC timeline. It is an alternate telling of the OYW, it's practically an alternate universe

I included it because it got its own Z'Gok's settings
In my school vr game the z gok had a new veriont the ultra z gok there space and aquatic there 5 made and have the same equipment as the original z gok and 1 is a galahorn mobile suit and rest zeon and unfortunately almost all where destroyed first was a neo zeon that exploded when it trying to attack sogalio but it got destroyed by a spike bomb on the head second and third where overloaded and blow up near giyamera the merge hybrid of Goalius and ryukio matoi fourth ultra z gok was crushed by giyamera and when it was lost both legs but the pilot was out and the final ultra z gok was damaged by 2 gm and a landman rodi but it was piloted by galahorn ace pilot julietta Julia when the reginlaze julia was scrapped and Julia was under house arrest and heck the ultra z gok was able to kill Aston ardland and gave giyamera a weapons cash that where a heat sword 5 heat tomahawks and 2 iron nail gauntlets and fyi the unit was then put on giyamera back and both where able to take out 5 zaku a Rick dom and 5 roui and even shot the sensor on the gusion rebake full city ultimately both where able to be back in galahorn arihanrod fleet
When I saw this mobile suit I know I found the one for me.

I really like you form of showing the mobile suit but I suggest you use some more nicer bgm like gundam game or zeonic front. It will make the video much more cooler. I create a list called gundam bgm. You can check it out and think about it. Keep up the good work

They are Ecap in GBO2
It and the Hygogg share the same Ecap system; they "precharge" the ecaps using excess minovsky particles from the reactor, which allows them to rapidly release multiple shots in quick succession.
In GBO2 this is reflected by the fact the Z'gok E and Hygogg beams being rapid fire.

@@zethythonix Actually, I think Sunrise's idea of what's canon is that everything is canon, and every version of every story happened in some way, shape or form. So when it comes to what actually happened, it's more like, take every version of every story, and what most likely happened is some weird mix in between.

@@zethythonix you should do a series on the Zeta, Zeta Plus, Re-GZ. The Rezel is usually thought to be a continuation of Zeta, but it's more Methus, and the later Delta lines are more Hyaku Shiki, so they can be skipped.
