yeah I couldnt believe they lasted the entire day without being sold. guess it was because they had them in the boxes. but to be honest, there were two sellers. one of them was not there when the other sold me the wheels. when the other seller got back, some random guy looked in the boxes and asked how much for wheels. The first seller said they were sold. the guy asked what they sold for and he said $20. the other seller said $20 a wheel and the the his partner said no, $20 for set. The random guy was blown away with the price and the other seller wasn't too happy about it. I've got another set I was going to use on my caprice. I like how they look on other rides as well.
Do the Upper arms have tall ball joints? if they fit inside your wheels, you want tall ball joints on a G-body. Tall lower first, but if it will fit inside your wheel, tall upper.
these dont have the tall ball joints. I dont remember what the qa1 lowers have as its been a couple of years since I bought them. I'll have to check. they are sitting in my bedroom. ive just been collecting parts for when i start building my 80 Monte again
the weather stripping shouldn't be hard to find from online vendors. Try NPD( national parts depot). the trim is going to be from either someone parting out one of these cars( id look at Facebook marketplace or some Facebook thunderbird groups) or you can try a classic car junkyard like Nobody's Auto in Great Bend Kansas. Tell Chad that Benny from classic ride society RUclips channel sent ya. he might still remember me 😄. there is also Brownes auto salvage in Sunset Texas
thats essentially what he did 😄. thought I was gonna score some vector style wheels.on the cheap from the lady who said make her an offer cause she didn't want to haul them back home. He busted out with $800 seemed like a fair offer.
Good score but I would not pay that for aftermarket control arms. MAC will swap that tool out. Looks like the tip is worn. Yes, around 1976 for that style AC.
Thank you Benny for sharing your purchase!! Some really nice items!! Be safe my friend and God bless you and yours !!!! Eddy
