Austin, the reason that Sweetwater music is so good?... They have set a bar for customer satisfaction that would be very hard to beat by another company. My Sweetwater personal representative gives me a call every 6 months, ask how I'm doing, asks if I was happy with my previous order. I'm on a first-name basis with the guy. I absolutely love Sweetwater music.I like how they set your guitars up before they send them to you because it makes it a little bit easier to tweak it yourself.
Really love the Strat . The Texas Tea finish looks amazing. I usually like vintage style guitars wether it's Fender or Gibson , but I am floored by Fenders' modern offerings . Can't wait to watch your reviews of them all. Cheers Austin 👍

I dig the bass BIG TIME. the tele, and strat are killer. I dont really know how to feel about the jazzmaster. Never owned one. But the motoroil look is fantastic. I can honestly appreciate the contours on the tele. I hae said they need that since the 90s and was why I never bought a blocky guitar. Overall, i think you did good on these. I cant wait to see them, especially that killer bass. Wowzers!

So Funny I’ve been a Fender guy since the 80s and I only owned a One Gibson for a few months when I was a budding guitarist. I have enjoyed your channel and learning way more about Gibson’s then I ever wanted to know. I just picked up a 2016 SG in perfect shape, not a scratch on it and practically no fret wear.It might be the most resonant Guitar I’ve ever played and sustains notes like nobody’s business. I’m surprised on how much I like it.
I hope you enjoy the Jazzmaster. I got an American Professional in June and it was instant love. They were always something I wanted but couldn't as left handed ones are hard to get unless they were imported from Japan. Which I happen to get mine from while visiting was looking out for a cheaper used Japanese one but had no such luck. So ended up splashing the cash thankfully it ended up being cheaper than if I had bought it at home as I didn't have to pay the tax for it. The Hardcase definitely survived the plane ride and the guitar plays amazing.
Sweetwater has the best customer service. Honestly, love those guys. And I’ve got a B-Bender telecaster. That thing is my absolute favorite clean guitar.
Nice haul of new Fenders! Since you are used to humbuckers I am curious to see what you think of the new Strat pickups? I love the metallic burst on the new Jazzmaster, can't wait to hear that one too.

Nice buy Sir. I wish they were mine lol. I'm not sure the double boxing with extra packing would really offer that much more protection. the insides of them cases are super padded.
So I have a question. In a lot of your videos when you unbox guitars they usually arrive in a nice hard case with a soft grey cusion inside. Do most online orders come with the case or do you need to pay exstra and then if you don't buy the case do they just deliver it to you in a cardboard box with wrapping paper?

That Texas Tea finish is new, however Fender, Mesa and Matchbox have offered amps in Texas Tea before. As well as being a term for crude oil Texas Tea is also a style of finishing leather especially saddles. The amps reflect this. I'm actually wondering if the finish here isn't a nod to the leather or if the leather style is also named after crude oil.
Whoa, that Jazzmaster is a beauty! Careful, Fender offsets are addicting. Once you settle into that sleek and easy to play body shape, there's no going back. Just ask cats like Nels Cline and Lee Ranaldo.
Hey! You should get your hands on a Hamer - Phantom A5 or A7. Hamer is the first EVER USA customshop (boutique) guitars ever made. Hamer guitars was all about making better guitars than the vintage ones back in the late 70's to early 90's. Glenn Tipton from Judas Priest used them, among many other guitarists. Glenn used these guitars instead of his old heavy modified 60's SG Special in the 80's till now. I have 2 A5 models, and being a Gibson guy, I can confirm that the feel of these guitars are very much like a Gibson, same fretboard radius I belive. I can almost grantee you will love the feel of these off'set super strats! (if you can find them, very rare!)

Hey, great reviews as always & thank you. Interesting point about the odour on some of these ultra guitars. It’s not pleasant and I had to leave many outside in the fresh air to calm that chemical smell down. Is it caused by that yellow staining Fender add to the back of the neck? I’ve also found the quality control is random on these Ultra guitars, some great & some badly made. The previous American Elite model was made far superior with better workmanship. Is Fender loosing standards? Are you able to find out if the chemicals used on the ultra are safe please?

@The Trogly's Guitar Show do you know, if you can polish nitro reaction from a guitar stand out the finish?I recieved a white Am.Original Jazzmaster but the previous owner left it at some point in a stand so it got there light brown spots..he claims it can be simply polished out by using nitro polish (but not mentioned it in the ad :/). Did you did or tried something like that in the past? Greetings
I have purchased many guitars and musical products through Musicians Friend. I too have had some defective gear including a G&L Tele with a broken 3-way switch. I've started shopping elsewhere. They have not been treating me well lately. They need much improved quality control and some help with the customer service. I love the paint job on the Texas T; they definitely did a terrific job on the "oil" in appearance. I prefer a full maple neck that is satin. Sharp frets that need to be rounded off just seems dispectful to the buyer in my opinion. Thanks for reviewing Fenders! = Chris G
I would love to take that jazzmaster neck with the binding on the sides, and attach it to a Stratocaster body. I've always wanted a Stratocaster that had white binding up the neck on either side. I haven't been able to find one but I would be glad to make one out of different guitars with all the parts swapped out.
As a Gibson fan I have to say that the Texas Tea finish is beautiful. I think the Strat would look so much better if it had a white pickguard with the Texas Tea finish.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the new noiseless pickups. I hated my gen 4 noiseless on my elite strat. Switched them out for Jimi Hendrix Seymour Duncans
Make sure you strum the bass like a guitar, use a pick, use a guitar amp with a lot of treble and don't mute any strings. Also, if you can do some blues noodling, that's also super popular with bassists.

I was really hoping that last box was one of the new basses and when you opened it I was super happy, because the jazz bass in Texas Tea is the one that has caught my eye in all of the promo stuff. I just need to work out how I’m going to afford one now 🤔

The finish on the first guitar is sprayed with urethane to give it that styrofoam smell, prehaps.
Indeed, also the smell can come from the case interior

Have a couple just like it and if you leave your guitar in there for a couple of days they smell of Styrofoam again.
