This is a great tutorial, you get straight to the point quickly, and don't waste any time rambling about other things....like other tutorials on youtube. Thank you! 👍👍👍

Thanks for the video, just wondering how did you get that realistic instance lighting?

Can you use the zdepth as a kind of mask so I could make a 2D object pass between the pillars?

Is it possible possible to extract one part of the scene to make it as a new pass using depth informations? (depth map).
I mean choosing a specific color of the depth map wich coresponds to one object in the 3d space and extract it in order to create a new 3D pass (and btw using the level of gray of the color to place it in the 3D space). Was i clear ? 😂

    CLAMP OUTPUT QUESTION:
-guys, how to unhide CLAMP OUTPUT in Vray 5 render settings (3DS Max) using a maxscript? (it's hidden by default says chaosgroup
-for I have problem with jagged edges on bright area of an object
(it's easily solve before by SubPixel Mapping and Clamp Output)...

Thanks. Do you always work in 3dsmax or do you ever use Cinema? just curious, based on its integration w AE. Thx!!!

I have played around in Cinema and the AE integration is awesome but for some reason I still prefer 3dsmax :)

    I'm new to 3ds Max?
Do we need vray to render and how do you get it?
Can't I just use 3dx Max to render a scene?

U dont have to use vray, but its better than the default renderer! You can download a trial version - just google vray.
