In this vlog, I'm headed to northern Pakistan for one of the craziest adventures of my life. We're flying to Gilgit-Baltistan, then taking a wild jeep ride along one of the most dangerous cliffside highways in the world. Then, we begin our trek to Fairy Meadows, the most beautiful place in the world, in my opinion. Finally, we're setting out to reach the base camp of Nanga Parbat, the world's ninth tallest mountain, nestled in the Himalayas.

Wow what an adventurous road but the scenery is breathtaking....I was on these roads too from 31st July to 5th August, love love the whole Gilgit Baltistan ,we went up till khunjrab pass . ....missing these places missing Pakistan, love from Canada

Doug thanks for showing this. Came across your bin laden compound then this popped up , went trekking in 1996 in this region and fairy meadows was just bliss the view from the camp site was not to be forgotten of Nanga Parbat, in fact the whole trip was a trip in a lifetime to remember. Got to say my camcorder video from that time not quite as crisp as your stuff , just two sets of batteries and no means to top them up so used sparingly. , Strangely enough on the return leg to Islamabad we took a Toyota Land Cruiser back to Islamabad along the Karakoram Highway. And actually stopped off in Abatabad to try and fix the air conditioning which was playing up.
1996??? the roads were much more dangerous in those days, I lived in Pakistan between 87-89, I still have visions of the smashed up busses at the bottom of cliffs.
Great video! That road reminds me of mountain roads in Peru. Sketchy as hell but that's part of the adventure :)

Beautiful hike, i hope to hike the Himalayas one day. Have experience hiking in over 3k metres, but will certainly take a paced hike to a basecamp at worse.

Scary cliffs and poor road conditions, what a dangerous and risky roadtrip, grateful to your skillful and expert driver. You're very adventurous and brave. It's really a difficult hike, as what I've seen it's hard to breath as the altitude goes higher but I'm glad you've reached the summit of the snow capped mountains safely and it was a great accomplishment and job well done! Pakistan's fairy meadows is worth visiting because of its breathtaking nature views and the Pakistani hospitality level is unmatched. Love watching your adventures together with your fellow travelers. 💚🏔️⛰️🏞️😱🚙
Due to constant landslide its almost impossible to make that road, it's a proper offroad adventure.

Now you have to visit the south of Pakistan and travel along the Makran Coastal Highway and look at the Arabian Sea. Drive from Karachi to Gwadar City and do many stop overs along the way. The landscape will amaze you. It looks like you are on Mars or something.
