McAfee Knob

I flew to Roanoke, Virginia to take a day hike on the AT (Appalachian Trail). I was rather disappointed, as it drizzled on me for the whole 8-mile round trip, letting up just a little at the knob. It was a pretty rough hike for me. I'm getting too old for this. But on my last day there, the weather was so beautiful that I decided to hike out there one more time, and I'm so happy I did! The vews were GORGEOUS!!! I hope you enjoy the video and don't get bored with it and turn it off before the climax!

Thanks Kevin! I almost didn't go back up there as the first hike really wiped me out. But I am so glad I did!

Cool place! My part of Oklahoma is so flat. Tip: To show a wide area, orbit something so you have something in the foreground while the vista passes in the background. Careful, you're supposed to have 3 mile visibility, just so an airliner does not sneak up on you through the trees.😏
