This has to be the best ever!! Using both the griddle for toppings and the pizza oven!! Way too fun to cook at home to be ordering out!! So happy you are happy Gary!
since none of ya'll answered.. I ordered one. Oh yeah! get one! super easy to convert the griddle to the oven (BUT!) take out the pizza stones first. I cooked at 700 degrees which made a PERFECT PIZZA in under 3 minutes.
Another trick if you have a sticky dough whether its bread of pizza is to put it on some parchment paper and transfer the dough and parchment paper to the stone off the peel.
Oh boy! Let's make pizza at home ourselves. We got the MalWart gas oven here. Next get a dough ball from the local take out pizza joint. Sauce freshly dumped out of a bottle off the supermarket shelf. Oh and some pre-sliced vacuum packed cheese and ham.. oh and some more vacuum packed parmesan cheese -- hey we're going to grate that just like a real chef!
I watched you make a pizza and Italian sausage sandwiches on your outdoor Blackstone and can't WAIT to try it. Plus, I got several tips from watching you making the sausage a bit differently. Awesome channel. Thank you!
after a week of delays with the shipping our pizza oven finally arrived! We've made 2 in it so far...and it is fast just like you said....we're making more dough as we speak and are going to try a spin off of your recipe... looked delish. Love blackstone products too
I'm impressed with your pizza skills. One question though, how hot does the bottom of the oven get? I'm about to buy one but need to be sure that I have the right surface to set it on and not burn my outdoor kitchen down.

Easy peasy! Just lift the oven off and replace the griddle. The bottom heat shield attachment you add to the bottom for the oven, can stay on during griddling! So that makes it a breeze!
So Betty, have you developed an E-series specific pizza dough recipe that works well with the electric Grilles? We have both that we use at our campsite, but only use the E-series at home. Tom KC3QAC

Stromboli is our favorite! I used to make them I. The original pizza oven all the time! And yeah…such a good short cut and better than a store bought dough!

Build the pizza on a wooden peel with cornmeal (or semolina) and turn the pizza with metal peel… also remove with metal peel. Always better to build on the wooden pizza peel…

Mkay time out ......NO you do not need a 22 inch blackstone to use this...... you can put it on a heat safe surface and use a 16 oz propane cylinder and use it.... ..

Unfortunately, coating the cornice in olive oil like you did is the only way you will get a half way even cook. You notice the cornice comes out pasty white in most the review videos. Not good heat balance. The original Blackstone was much better in this regard.
Completely agree. The original patio oven has that burner that provides heat underneath and also heat rolling up over the top, even more so if you put a deflector in. You can cook a true Neapolitan pie in the original. This looks like a decent product for the casual pizza maker but if your a pizza nut I’d say there’s better out there. Completely my opinion of course but I just haven’t seen a video yet where the pizza looks like it’s gotten enough top heat. Maybe I’ll get to try one out and see for myself one of these days.
