    I just installed some GTR Ultra 2’s in my 2019 Fusion and they totally rock. I had the Diode Dynamic SL1 and they simply don’t compare. The only problem I had was trying to get the shank of the bulb into the projector housing . All I had to do is move the adjuster and the bulb just dropped in. Then a simple readjustment and I was good to go.

    This is awesome! The dedication you guys have on every single vehicle, thats something incredible. Thank you so much! Just a quick question, in this case have you ever tried a HID kit in the Tacoma headlights? Wondering if you could get better results. Thanks again and keep the videos coming!

      We have, and the HID kit is definitely a big improvement over stock. We're actually going to come out with an updated HID guide for these vehicles soon too. The GTR Lighting Ultra 2 bulbs performed very similarly to a 55w HID kit at 5000k in our testing. You can't go wrong with either one! -Chris W

    How come the lux readings for the projectors are much higher in the 25 led shootout video? If I remember correctly I believe the GTR ultra 2 was about 900+ lux and the s-v.4 was about 850 lux. Is it because those were tested in a different projector housing?
    Also in the same led shootout video the lux readings were over 2000 for reflectors, but then in the reflector vs projector video you guys explained why projectors are better. And yet the lux readings seem to suggest these LEDs provide better output in reflectors?
    I’m very confused...

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  4 года назад +1

      Hey Henry, That's a good question!
      The headlight housing in each test makes a huge difference. In the 25 bulb shootout, We used a Toyota 4Runner headlight from 2014+. In this video, We are using a Toyota Tacoma headlight. Not only that, but we are testing it on a different day, from a slightly different distance from the wall. We do our best to keep these tests consistent, Unfortunately there are some factors that can affect the results. That being said, if you did the same test at home with a similar lux meter you would get a similar result.
      We have seen some reflector headlight housings that produce a brighter hotspot than projectors. Usually the beam pattern isn't as uniform or as crisp as a projector based headlight though, So there is a tradeoff.
      I hope this helps clear up the results a little bit. -Chris W

    • @qqfatnini7527
      @qqfatnini7527 4 года назад

      Thanks Chris! I re-watched the videos and thought that might be the case. Another thought, would you guys consider publishing on your website a library of test results among the different LEDs in different headlight housings? That would be tremendously beneficial to the consumers.
      I wouldn’t even mind sending in headlights for my Camry and my Sienna so you guys can test them and add to the collection.
