When it gets back to Floor coming in, the story picks up for me. Anette could not and would not sing a lot of songs from Tarja era, Tuomas mentioned that they may never play Wishmaster again. When Floor comes onboard they start playing a lot of the older songs again. When Floor joins they all just seem so happy and revived. In the future of this film you will see things, get better and better. Crowds of people in the audience cheering for Floor, and the whole band just embracing her from the start. Tarja and Anette are both great singers, but for me personally, Floor with Nightwish is perfection.
I've suggested Taikatalvi a few times but nobody ever reacts to it. It was nice to see this documentary again with a performance in it. Marco singing in Finnish is a beautiful thing to hear.

After finishing this you could watch/react the "Nightwish Making the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful" -compilation made by Nimwey. It is a set of short vlogs they made back then, about album and tour.
On that you get more inside Tuomas head about creating songs, why Jukka had to step down from drums and how they first met Troy. Plus much more.

Its a little awkward for some of those early tour clips, since they couldn’t show anything with Anette, who was with them when the tour started. Troy is English, born in northern England, in Workington, near Scotland. Next Nightwish show this Sunday in Belgium!

Troy was born in Cumbria..he lives in Yorkshire from an early age ..Hes also was a main player for the bad shepherds..

It's unfortunate that Annette asked not to be in this (which I assume was their choice, respecting her wishes). As good as the documentary is, it makes it awkward and confusing for first time watchers.
And even though I'm not her biggest fan, I would still like to see some footage of her on that tour, rather than awkwardly dancing around her.
If they weren't going to show Annette at all, I kind of wish they'd have just condensed that part of the tour, and gave us more Floor.
Having said that, I do like the documentary. I just think it's weird.

Tuomas, Marko, Emppu and Yukka obviously speak Finnish. Troy does not and Floor learned just a little. She said that they all spoke English when she joined the band. Most Finns are very proficient in English.
Glad you already continued to the second part of the reaction to the documentary. And that Nightwish wine sounds great, wonder if they still produce it -) I remember passing through Minneapolis, and visiting that Great Mall of America, on my way to Deer River in Minnesota. Other side of the world for a Dutchman.
No more Nightwish wine unfortunately. As a wine connoisseur Tuomas ought to do it again. I'd buy it!
Anette did couole more concerts after that Denver show. But she was so angry and did angry post in Facebook... Guys didn't take that well and that broke the camels back. Anette was out then.
It's funny how people say that Anette is so nice. Every interview I have read or heard about her she has always been very bitter and angry about what happened. And I do get it ofcourse but it's ten years allready... Maybe time to move on? She loves to play that victim part for sure. So maybe she can be nice too but if you ask about Nightwish from her there is nothing good to say about them... Even Tarja seems to be over it and doesn't give those salty interviews.
Troy looks so young without his beard. Mind you, it was ten years ago.

Seeing them on 22nd Birmingham, I hope Floor is ok and the concert is still on. Havent heard anything yet.
I haven't had any hint Wembley isn't going ahead so it seems Floor is ok.
They should reschedule if she's not.

I do not like the voices of Tarja and Anette that much, but funny how great the music itself is! I love the instrumental cd of Once!

The beginning and the end parts are with Floor , the middle of the video is before floor at the beginning of the tour they are not allowed to show of hear Annette.

Troy can’t speak Finnish - it’s a very difficult language for non native speakers to learn. Luckily almost all Finns speak English to a high standard and all in Nightwish can speak, read and write in English with aplomb

Love this documentary since it's abt Nightwish. Don't care much tho, for the peculiar build up (or lack of it): start with the climax i.e. the Denver Debacle as it's curiously called, then Floor being called in and after that, skipping back to the most uninteresting and way too long part in which the guys say how great it is to be on tour.
Not the case of course but it kinda makes them sound like hypocrites when several months later, Anette is booted out. Of course it doesn't help that she didn't want to be in this documentary (another weird decision by her, but okay) but even if she had been in those scenes, the "flash back" would've felt the same for me. Could've been cut by half at least. Looking forward to the last part with Floor back in the picture. Cheers!

Anette is a very nice person and a good but not a great singer. She was unable to sing most of the Tarja songs aa they were quite operatic, unlike Floor. She did make an appearance at the premiere of the Imaginaerum film in Helsinki although Floor performed at the concert afterwards.
In interviews I have found her quite engaging.
Did Little Wolfie got a hair/ beardcut? Can't notice any difference? I'd see it better than if it would be Sabaton's Joakim look😎
