Timely. Yesterday we were checking the compression on my friend's recently purchased 1971 "B"that has been stored for a few months.
Carbs and manifold have been removed by "others".
We adjusted the valves cold as they were quite a bit off. 15 to 21 Thou.
Plugs were sooty.
We came up with :
1: 145
2: 135
3: 125
4: 145
Based on your video.. we will torque the head and will recheck and listen for "hiss".
Also may do a repeat with dry and wet.

I noticed a thumbs down, how strange. John, this new series of tech videos are outstanding. I always thought the throttle had to be open to do the test, or did you have it jammed open but just didn't mention it?
