Awesome video - simple and to the point and you covered any questions I had. I was wondering if you might be able to do one/know a resource as to how the wires and catheters are used once access has been gained - essentially a follow-up to this video?
Excellent demonstration. Can u let us know which company has these sets?It wud have been wonderful if u was have demonstrated the technique on patient.thank you
I think after inserting micro puncture needle, a contrast injection will be useful to ensure that needle tip is inside vessel lumen in doubtful cases like when flow is not forceful.
I think you called this item “sheath “ first and then you switched to “catheter “ (unless I didn’t get it right ); could you explain what is the main difference between catheter and a sheath? Is it just that a sheath has a valve as comparing to regular catheter that wouldn’t have a valve? I’m still confused on those two. Thank you !
Hey sheaths are usually but not always valved. They are larger than catheters and essentially accommodate catheters to avoid repeated vessel access and trauma. They are sized differently as well
Thanks basics like this are always brushed over. Nice to have a quick detailed explanation
I found this very helpful as a new RN in a cardiac cath lab
Thanks. Right to the points with real time demonstration.
Thanks Dr. these videos are helpful to CVT students

Thanks a bunch for making these vids - great intro to IR when everything passing into other things etc. looks really confusing.

Thank you for this video, its really helpful.
How does the sheeth stay in place during procedure ? Is there a maximium flow or pressure ? Can a Swift Ninja go through?
thanks great video.
