Walking in DRESDEN / Germany 🇩🇪- Summer Tour Main Station to Neustadt - 4K 60fps (UHD)

- Dresden / Germany is one of the main tourist destinations in Germany. As the capital of the state of Saxony it has several historical attractions that we visit regularly on POPtravel.
On our tour from the Dresden Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) we visit the Old Town (Altstadt) and walk all the way to the New Town (Neustadt). We pass the Schlossplatz, the Fürstenzug, which is a large mural of the past rulers of Saxony and see sights like the Frauenkirche and the Zwinger.
Different from earlier tours the Zwinger is under construction with new paths open. This allows us to see the gardens from another higher level. The Semperoper and the Zwinger are a must when tourists visit Dresden.
The Neustadt has a more active bar and club scene. We end our tour at the Bahnhof Dresden Neustadt, which is the 2nd biggest train station of the city.

We were expecting to see the Holiday/Christmas markets and decorations this year .... but this was a while ago !
Currently it's raining. There was better weather early December but I wasn't in Dresden then. There are a few videos surely of the Christmas markets on other channels. I myself also have some during winter in other years like Hamburg: ruclips.net/video/_MnGaKWmJcY/видео.html

I have been to Dresden (and many other cities in Germany/Europe) during Christmas and Dresden is my favorite and always recommend it to friends. I remember visiting three of the several markets in the city (Prague was on the same trip), and thought would be nice to revisit by watching a video. Thanks again.

The "Striezelmarkt" is legendary in Dresden and I've been there as well many years ago.
I will see when I feel like filming on Christmas markets someday. After the break '20-'21 the markets are open again. It's a bit challenging to not show too many faces due to privacy or annoy people. I've been to only Christmas market this year yet filmed only for private tests with an Osmo Action
@@poptravelorg Not bad your Prague video... you got a much better weather then I did when I first visited in 2005; it was gray, cloudy, foggy, very wet and freezing cold. Was still very cheap and crowded as always. I Walked the same route you did. In Dresden my favorite market was the medieval one for the atmosphere and the muddy grounds. I was surprised to see Baklava being sold at one of the booths there. A tiny yellow car with the huge model famous Dresdner Stollen on top of it somewhere there too. Will check your other videos sometime later. Where are you from originally ?
