@@sammylove7211 so if I take my old phone into Apple and want to get a newer one but request a trade in the price won’t be full price as long as my phone meets requirements right ?
i'm confused? How does it work then. So when i do go to the apple store to trade my phone, Do i still have to pay the full price or will they discount the value of the phone i have right now.
Then why does it give me a discount when i want to buy it cause i put my iphone 11 in trade in for a iphone 13 mini it was 599 then it discount 300 dollars so i bought it so i am shocked
while you won't get as much as doing it on a marketplace, at least you'll end up with money on your pocket, because reselling an apple product can take a very long time
If I am to choose the trade in option for the new i16 I would be losing out on over £200 for my 15 which is astonishing. I’m going to be buying the 16 when I sell my 15.
Hey man I just bought a iPhone 13 last month and now I saw it is discontinued so the iPhone 15 price is now lower do you think I should trade it in it says I would get 250 dollars back
Oh this is what i wanna do for my moms iphone 12 Pro Max. I managed to negotiate an iphone 14 plus at $549.24 (it has minor scratches and some scuffs). I'm thinking of going to the apple store and seeing if i can trade in her iphone 12 pro max for a gift card $407 (the speaker when calling isn't functioning). Then going ahead and buying a pink 15 plus $1,005.46 ( with taxes) have the iphone 14 plus as a trade in of $470 and hopefully purchasing the 15 plus at $130.46. Do you think that this can be done in 1 trip to the apple store or do they have to take in the iphones to the back and fully test them for a few day? therefore me paying the full amount of $1,005.46?
I know your comment is 8 months old. But I just upgraded my XR iPhone for a 15 Pro. T-mobile & Apple store offered me $125. I went with my carrier T- mobile. It was a smooth transaction.
you said apple trade in wouldn’t straight up give you cash but you also said this 4:15 . so what is it can i get cash back in my credit card if i traded in my old phone and can i use that cash to buy stuff outside apple store
It's ultimately a net minus for you. In other words, you have to get an Apple product with the trade-in, in which they then credit back to you. It's really a discount on a new (for example) iPhone. Let's say new iPhone is $1000 and your trade in is $300. You pay the $1000 for the new phone, then Apple gets your old phone, and credits (in some cases outlined in the video) the $300 trade in. Yes, you now have $300 in your account but you just spent $1000 on a new phone. Hope this makes sense.
Typically, no. They will not lower the price. I traded in my old M1 MacBook Air when I bought the M3. The M1 had loads of dents and shallow scratches on it and they told me they consider that kind of damage to be minor and they gave me the maximum amount.
I tried trading in a Samsung S10 + and online it quoted me $90. When I went down to the store they only would give me $65 for a phone that is in new condition. They told me it was because it was only a 128 GB model. But online it showed $90 regardless of the storage size. I brought this to their attention but they gave me a bunch excuses that made no sense. I'm trying to buy a 15 Pro Max from them but now I probably wont. If $25 is worth more to them than me being a regular customer then bye bye Apple.😡
If you go to the Apple Store and do the Trade-In there, do they give you the discount after the 30-60 minutes assessment? If they do, what happens if I buy a new iPhone with the credit they gave me, and then I decide to return it after the 14 days period (at least in the EU)?
You can choose to do the trade-in in store, you just need to choose the option from the online process. It takes about an hour to get the credit offer. If you just trade in (no purchase) you get Apple credit. If you trade-in on a purchase, that credit gets applied to your new purchase. If you return the device, you get the money back and the trade-in "discount" gets applied back to you as Apple credit. This is the general process and can vary depending on the country so best to check with the local Apple store, but this is the standard procedure. Hope this helps!
i have a question. iphone 11 was launched in 2019. but i bought it in 2022 jan so now when i am selecting trade in with 15 , its showing disount of 18000 rupees with my 11s tradein. Now if i wouldve bought the iphone11 on 2019 would the tradein value have decreased. ( sorry for english) in other terms does the trade in vary with the same phones. different manufacturing date???
Does it matter if the current trade in is very new & barely half paid off? Do I have a new installment plan w/ a credit or does it apply to old phone installment ?
this is a little bit late, but I have the answer. if you have a phone currently that you want to trade in and it's not fully paid off you can still trade it. It doesn't matter how new it is. You still have to pay it fully off but you can trade it in. Basically if you take your phone to the Apple Store and traded in for a different one you have to pay off what you owe and still pay off the plan monthly from the original phone. for example, I have the iPhone 13 promax that I wanna trade in for the iPhone SE. The iPhone 13 promax isn't fully paid off, but I still traded in for the iPhone SE. The one I have now is worth up to $650. And the iPhone SE is cheaper than that. So I still have to pay off the phone that I have now which is the iPhone promax but essentially I get a free iPhone SE because it's fully paid off with the credit.
so the answer is yes you can trade in your phone if it's not fully paid off and if you do a trade and you can get credit with your phone now so it'll be cheaper than just buying a brand new one
They change the phone number on your order submittal. Then, when your old phone gets there they say the glass has a crack or some reason the value is zero. You must have the phone number you used with the order to request they return it. They direct you to that confirmation email and you notice that all numbers are invisible except for the last two, which do not match the number you submitted with your order. They try to convince you that you must’ve mistyped that number but you’ll need it in order to request your old phone back. What a scam!
I wouldn’t recommend apple trade in. They will “revise” the value that they initially gave you and give you a ridiculously low one (mine went from $320 to $60) because according to them, face id didn’t work (it works perfectly)
hi, for those who have actually went into the actual apple store and did the trade in face to face can u give me ur experience please. cause i don't wanna do it online.
I’m assuming since I’m gonna trade my 11 Pro Max to get the 15 promax they’re just gonna take it do a diagnostic check and just overall look if there’s any scratches or cracks
I traded in my phone multiple times in the Apple Store iPhone XR -> 12 iPhone 12 -> 13 And now I’m planning to trade in my 13 for the base model 15, it’s fairly easy and my experience went perfectly a specialist will take a look at your phone and see how much the trade in price would be towards the phone you’re planning on buying but you can also go to the website and see how much the trade in price would be before going to the Apple Store so you can get a general idea on how much you’re going to spend But if your phone is severely damaged it’ll greatly decrease the price and they might not give you anything back.
Don’t do it apple lies I traded my 13 for the 16 plus they said my phone had 13 imperfections and it had dings which did not so I don’t get my credit and had to pay
“A win for the planet” yeah right Apple

Does your battery health affect trade-in value?
They base it on device age.

Unless there is something wrong with the battery it shouldn't affect trade in value.
