    I have the Dolye lineman, wirecutters, and duckbill pliers. Use them every day for work and love them.

      Thought about this later. I have the new Quinn 1/2 ratchet it's awesome. At home I have Quinn wire cutters, they are good but noticable not as nice compared to the Dolye cutters.

    I have the Quinn 1/2 drive impact socket set. I have used it extensively working on vehicles and lawn equipment for a greenhouse business going on 2 years now. It is holding up extremely well. There's no significant sign of wear yet.

    I love my Quinn ratchets and the 3/8 impact set. The no skip needs to be on all sets. I always seen to find something that is 9 mm. Lol

    Only Doyle tool I have is the stubby multi bit ratcheting screwdriver and it looks identical to my stubby Klein Tools one. It'll be hard to convince me they aren't produced in the same factory

    Totally agree with you on coolant. I'll take a trans fluid shower or a diff fluid bath over getting coolant on just my hands.

    The Doyle 8 inch side cutters are great. I'm on my third set of Channel Locks in 3 years so out of frustration I grabbed the Doyle's since I was near HF. Those Doyle's are cutting through everything with ease and the blades aren't showing any wear yet after 6 months. Well worth the $17.

    There is a $5off coupon floating around on the web thats good for any Pittsburg ratchet. That just.might make it worthwhile to get that flexhead ratchet.

    The one thing about Harbor Freight is there are a lot of them and they don't argue with you when you bring something back you don't have to take a picture you don't have to give ID numbers you don't have to get receipts mail it off just take it in and they give you another one samples that

    Hello again, Tony
    Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I hate say how long it been since I last gave either Quinn or Doyle a good look. To say I wasn't impressed, would be an under statement. But things could have improved. I hope so. Again thank you 👍

    Quinn 1/4 set, 3/8 set and 1/2 sets have the new style ratchets. They compare themselves to Tekton for the sets. The ratchets are similar to the Gearwrench ratchets. I have the 1/2 set and it's very nice set for the price. I bought it on sale for $150. I own the 1/2 Tekton set at work and they are very close. Tekton is better, but for home use, Quinn is great.

    The biggest thing in favor of Harbor freight is the warranty. They are going to be local to you. And I say that as a huge fan of knipex. Also love, not buying stuff made in China. But the warranty is going to be a huge thing for people. Even though I doubt you’ll ever break a pair of knipex. Also, the Doyle aren’t that far behind. I do think they are a little softer.

  • @AustinCrabtree32
    @AustinCrabtree32 2 месяца назад +1

    Harbor freight isn’t worth it anymore unless the stuff is on sale. The prices are similar to high quality things at homedepot or lowes now but with lesser quality and a name that doesn’t have history. I only go there for Pittsburgh pro or icon

  • @spevakdesigns

    How hard are the teeth on the water pump pliers? They say induction hardened but don't mention the actually hardness or metallurgy. Knipex cobras are a vanadium, chromium, carbon steel alloy and call out a minimum 61HRC hardness with tempering to add internal toughness and they've never let me down. Bought as a set they're less than $7 more per plier than the HF ones.

    I have those hose clamps and they work awesome. I bought their hose clamp pliers, their cheap models, and they are horrible. I have to find a good set of pliers that won't leak oil or coolant all over me 😂

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  2 месяца назад

      Agreed!! I don't use those pliers either. Never had good luck with them. If you find a good deal on some let me know

  • @paulmysliborski4832

    I do not own any Doyle pliers as I have my trusty Channellock, Knipex, and Kliens. But, I have held them in my hands at HF, and they are of the same quality or better than any Husky tool you will ever buy.
    And there's no shame in buying Pittsburgh ratchets.
    As long as you're not the idiot that buys one to break loose an 1-1/4" nut that has been frozen onto a stud for the last decade, and then trashes the tool for breaking.
    Hey there, Einstein........ these tools are made for guys working on mowers and driveway oil changes. Lol

      @@timweb1510 hell I’ll just say it. I believe this weekend is the Spring Black Friday coupon extension, but next weekend regular customers get 30% under $10, ITC gets 30% anything under $20. In the past I’ve gotten pliers and sockets with this coupon, but any consumables under $10/$20 depending on your membership is a decent deal with that coupon.
