And i loved the way Michael in turn wears Laurie down, making her a psycho killer. Youre nuts for hating Halloween so much. Zombies Halloween is not like watching Alien 3 where they literally kill characters we love within the franchise, making their cheap deaths canon. Ive heard you say a couple of times now that you hate VHS/85, but to me that has been the most solid installment of the Shudder era of the franchise. I like 94, i dont care for 99 that much, but 85 was surprising! I love the story from the lake that ties in to a later story, and i thought the dream kill segment was really cool. Zombie’s Halloween is extremely over hated. God forbid somebody try to do something different with a remake. I guess people want the same movie over and over again
I can appreciate doing something different. Some of the greatest remakes of all time like “The Fly” and “The Thing” did something different. Zombie took a beloved horror villain and reduced him to a snot nosed hamster killing brat, then proceeded to do a carbon copy remake of the original, expecting me to buy into this little punk being the evil shape.
I completely agree! People think they are cool when they hate on Rob Zombies Halloween online!! I think it's a great movie that tried something different with the franchise.

I really like the Rob Zombie halloweens. I never learned about the hatred for it until years later. I can totally see how the kid can ruin it for some. He’s an awful actor. Killing animals and shit doesn’t really ruin it. I mean, there are plenty of real life serial killer back stories that include them torturing and killing animals as children. Even in the very first original halloween we see Michael as a murderous kid. It’s not like he just starts as a mysterious shape. The rob zombie one unfortunately gives us a kid who can’t pull off a believable psycho, with his playful slipknot masks. 😂 I also have no problems with a straight shot for shot remake, which this wasn’t. Im a huge fan of the psycho remake (maybe the only fan), but the only argument I hear about that is its shot for shot. RZ halloween deviates a bit but its still pretty good. Maybe 3/5 🔪 🔪 🔪

It's a B movie but night of the demon is freaking awesome to Me. It's a slasher movie with a Bigfoot and it has a twisted ending! Basically a dream come true.
I love The Abomination. It's a triumph of low/no-budget DIY filmmaking, but I can definitely see how it might not work for everyone. I feel like tiny indie films like that need to be rated on a different scale than big budget studio releases.
"The Devil Made Me Do It" is the name of the real case that took place in my home state. I was disappointed in the movie as it was poorly executed however as you call the story stupid but it really happened that way and was a famous court case not only in my state but made national news involving The Warrens. The title of the movie is the excuse given in the court case as to why he did what he did and he was was trying to get off by blaming the Devil. It was the first case of it's kind. The second side story in the movie, involving Lorrain Warren, was made up and didn't really happen. I do agree with you on Halloween 2007. Every time I give it another chance I dislike it even more.
Here is a million dollars question if you don't like the movie. Then why do you keep it in your collection bc all you are doing is wasting shelf space & money on movies you don't like. Bc it is pointless to have movies in your collection if you don't like. Bc if I don't like the movie I don't keep it in my collection. I'd be willing to bet he hasn't seen half the movies he has in his collection. He seems to be someone that just likes having a "collection" But that's his prerogative to do that if he can afford it.
I dig When a Stranger Calls. I had missed it over the years and blind bought it. I was pleasantly suprised that the whole film wasn't a knock-off Black Christmas, taking place in the house... It had a unique take on a killer and some really great inner city scenes at night.
From what I’ve read Inferno, Hellseeker, Deader, and Hellworld were all originally scripts that had nothing to do with Hellraiser and were adapted into the franchise. Which imho is why they’re abysmal at best.
I have the Night of the Demons Trilogy. First was great, second was a step or two down but acceptable but I just didn't have it in me to see the third.
“RZ Halloween & Kills are stupid & suck because the dialogue all the characters are dumb” etc. but Freddy’s dead & nightmare 4 are really great LMAO u kill me Ken. 👍
There’s some on here I totally agree with. Others I like. Seance, scare me, vhs 85, conjuring 3, scare package, nightmare on elm street remake, Firestarter i all agree with.
Kenny, your taste is in your rear end. Brother, zombies, halloween is much bette then the last 3 films now, the second film he did was not very good, but I thought it was an interesting take.
I found it interesting that recently Ken was praising Halloween Ends and constantly knocking Kills. Wouldn’t “Kills” have sold a lot more than “Ends”? Is it part of his partnership with the Studios to push certain releases?
The only reason I even own the Rob Zombie Halloweens is because they came in the massive Shout bluray box and over 10 years later I have still never watched them. The only reason I even opened the H2 case was to find the disc with the TV cut of '78.
Like you I liked the flashbacks in halloween kills, However I actually liked the first rob zombie halloween I liked how they explained it, I hated the rob zombie halloween sequel though, a nightmare on elmstreet remake was just trash, I liked annabelle personally, Firestarter remake was okay at best but not great or good, Haven't seen the bye bye man or any of the vhs movies or funeral home or the nun or conjuring 3 or lovers lane or under the skin or witchtrap or any of the demon movies or scare package or scare or seance or when a stranger calls me or the cursed or most of the hellraiser films or pyewacket or the hills have eyes movies so no comment there, No I respect everyone's opinion, Even if I don't like something and a friend wants to see it, I just suggest to watch it for themselves and see if they like it or not.
Agree with most of them.. I'm curious, about how much of your collection consists of blu's or 4k's that you bought knowing it stunk or even saw it and hated it? You don't think it's a waste of shelf space? 😳😆
Sometimes he gets movies sent to him. No I think a few of these he knows are bad but he's still will watch them or keeps them because they're part of a series.
I don't have a lot of horror in my collection. I am now getting back into it somewhat. Grew up with the 80's horror then lost interest as they got bad.
One of the worst i have is Exorcist 2 The Heretic Ken.If i bin it, then i know i've got one missing in the Exorcist Collection though.Trials of a collector .👻👻👻
I have a lot of these that I enjoy but I can see how they’re bad. When a Stranger Calls I actually think is solid if you take it for what it is. The sequel (which is a made for TV movie) is solid also. I only found out it was made for TV because the Shout Blu-ray has two aspect ratios.
I think I finally understand why everyone hates the Halloween franchise. I can think of 3 movies in the series that I hate more than the two you listed lol
It's so funny you didn't like the conjuring 3 on Max but you bought it for $10 to have in your collection holy shit is there anything you don't buy dude
I still enjoy When a Stranger Calls though. Those first 20 minutes are fantastic, the rest is like sleepy background noise comfort movie for me. The 90s sequel has some absolutely absurd moments.
Alright Ken, I have to disagree with your review on When A Stranger Calls. A little back story on the film might help you understand the movie better. It's based on a short film (by the same director) called the Sitter. The director then realized he could turn it into a full length movie as horror movies were starting to become popular. While it does "bog" down a bit in the middle, it's opening (which is 20 minutes long, not 10) and ending are what make it a good movie. Also the acting is top notch, from Charles Durning, Carol Kane, Tony Beckly (Who was terminally ill while filming) and also Ron Oneal. Also, the music score in the opening 20 minutes is some of the best tension building music of a suspense movie ever. Maybe one day you'll give it another watch like you do a lot.
No atmosphere in the nun?? That whole movie was a vibecreepy monastery vibe. The second nun film didnt have the atmosphere the first did imo. Also i realy enjoyed annabel creation while the 1st movie was definitely the weakest
I like Annabelle Creations a lot but the original Conjuring is my favorite. For me, Conjuring 2 is my third favorite but it's good and I like it. I do agree that the Annabelle movie was bad. It's my least favorite Conjuring movie that I've seen. I've never watched either Nun movie or Conjuring 3, so no opinion.
Like others, I do not want to keep in collection movies I will never watch again. I need to purge more. But have already gotten rid of many. Hell, I even got rid of Evil Dead 1 & 2 4Ks as I regretted getting them thinking I would warm up to them.
@@reginaldforthright805 Yeah, I was never a fan of them for some reason and felt that stupid urge to own them in collection. But after watching the 4Ks, I did not like any better and know I would never watch again. So why keep them? I sent them to another RUclipsr that did not have them and would appreciate them more. I will never get rid of Army of Darkness. I love that one because they purposely made it into a comedy. I included ED in my video of movies everyone else likes but I hate. LOL.
The Nun was such a huge disappointment. I watched it because a coworker told me it was really scary, but aside from a few cheap jumpscares it did nothing to me. I really enjoyed the visuals and the set design. But everything else was a bust. The Cursed I enjoyed though. The effects could have been better, and I think a more "traditional" werewolf design would have been more appropriate for the setting and atmosphere. But the performances were solid and I enjoyed the story. I went into the movie blind and was not expecting it to take place so far in the past, I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't a typical modern setting
I revisited all of the Halloween films through RZ H2 for the first time in a while this month. I was surprised how much my thoughts changed on them. I love the original Halloween, but most of the others aren't that great to me, just okay. I really didn't care much at all for H20 and I had forgotten that Laurie was in Resurrection, with the all-time stupidest explanation for a killer having survived. We're to believe that there just so happened to be a dude dressed like Myers wandering around a LOCKED campus at the exact spot where Myers was at, or Myers forced some random guy to switch clothes and then the guy just stares at this angry woman with an axe and doesn't even attempt to tell her he's not Myers. I get it. It's friggin' Halloween Resurrection, but f'n hell. To me, that one is the worst. I also wasn't crazy about the 5th and 6th ones, especially how both ended on cliffhangers without full resolutions. I'm sure audiences were not pleased. The idea of a cult was different, and I think it could've worked, but I thought it was poorly executed. I know I've seen people who love the so-called "Thorn Trilogy," but I chalk that up mostly to people who really just like the first couple of films and they've watched 5 & 6 so much that there's some baked in nostalgia and even desire for the movies to be better than they are. That's not to knock anyone who loves them. I do still kinda like them, but just barely. Lastly, I liked the first RZ Halloween movie a lot, but my thoughts on it are... nuanced and/or all over the place. I view it as an elseworlds story. The aesthetic works for me. No, we don't need an origin story, but we got one. I thought the kid playing Michael in it did perfectly fine. He was a kid tasked with playing a pretty f'ed up role. I think if you stripped away the Halloween stuff though, and called it some other name and just have it inspired by Halloween, maybe, then it'd have probably been a hell of a lot better received. Like if you called it Psycho Jack, and the kid is Jack, who grows up to be Psycho Jack. I think Zombie's name would've been enough to bring people in to watch it. Coming back to Halloween... it's better, for sure, to not know why Myers snapped. Was he just pure evil like Loomis said? I like the idea better that Myers came from a perfectly normal family. Maybe they had minor problems, not perfect or whatever, because that's like real life, but Myers coming from a broken home made the explanation too easy/cheap. It's scarier when someone normal goes nuts than when someone you expect might go nuts goes nuts. Alright, I've gone on way too long.
@@ragonproductions4791 Agreed and I thought part 6 was awful without Danielle Harris continuing her role herself. I saw it in the theater and walked out at some point. Donald Pleasance died during this as well, so they just had some shout in a building that was supposed to be him being killed off. Lame as you know what.
@@LeeTheVetit was worth it just for Donald last performance in his last Halloween movie u can tell he was really old and can barely talk along Micheal Dr loomis was the star of the Halloween 🎃 movies rest in peace 🪦
Firestarter remake was bad but it was MPA rated pg-13 and my son loved it. One of his first horror movies that got him hooked. We have since seen so much better flicks.
@midlevelmedia I am very tight on space so I sell anything crappy or I'll never watch again. I'd rather keep space for actual good stuff. You're lucky to have a nice setup behind you with a lot of space it seems
Somebody needs to keep rob zombie from movie cameras. The only thing i liked about his halloween was brad douriffs. Performance he was actually likeable
Mostly agree with your video Ken. Couple of them I actually enjoy Stranger Calls and Hills have Eyes 2. Was shocked you didn't hate on Bubba Ho-Tep? I guess it really isn't horror. 😅😂😅
Oddly enough, you gave Funeral Home 3 stars and a like on Letterboxd, as well as a positive enough review in January. Thoughts/feelings can definitely change after a period of time though, so I'm not pointing it out as a "gotcha" or anything. I happened to look it up to see if I'd seen it and I saw you had reviewed it. I don't have it logged, but I've only reviewed/logged movies from the time I started using Letterboxd, which was about a year ago this month.
A Halloween movie would also be on my list, but it’s Rob Zombie’s Halloween II. Laurie was so unlikable in this movie I was rooting for her to be killed. Hate that movie.
God I hated that movie. It felt like a fully, 100% Rob Zombie film, and I don't like that. Awful characters and dialog. Michael grunts and speaks. I just despise it lol
I enjoyed When a Stranger Calls well enough. The Nightmare remake is the worst on the list to me, even without having seen some of these. ANOES is my favorite horror movie of all-time, and it's not even close, so the remake is an abomination to me.
I honestly thought Funeral Home was really bad the first time I watched it. I watched it again though, and actually really enjoyed it! Let us know if you try it again someday, Ken~would be interested to hear if you change your mind or not :)
Ken, if SW IX could be a horror movie, it would be the first one on the video. Lol Avoid My Deadly Friend, The Boogens, Boogeyman, Zombie High, Creepshow III. When a Stranger Calls has a sequel to it, Ken. lol I actually liked that one, I don't consider it to be a straight horror flick, more suspense than anything. A lunatic preys upon a lone babysitter, lol, but he gets caught and then seeks her out yet again. Charles Durning from The Sting, Tootsie, Dark Night of the Scarecrow plays the Investigator. I did NOT like the Carrie remake at all. I'll watch Carrie 2: The Rage before I watch that again= lol
I didn't like Hill Have Eyes 2 the first I saw it, and you're right that it's not as good as the remake of the 1st movie. The second time I watched it, though, I thought it was pretty decent. Sometimes after you know what to expect from a film, you like it a lot more.
I can’t watch any Halloween film after Season of the Witch. They’re all shitty cash grabs that make a mockery of the original film. They can’t even make an effective mask for Michael Meyers.
Rob Zombie's Halloween is a good purchase for the feature length making-of documentary, about 4 hours I think. It is incredible if you like watching making-ofs and better than than the crap movie.
I don't agree with When a strager calls. I watched the Second sight edition (region free) in which there is the sequel and the short film. The film is very 70's and the police investigation in the second part is very well done.
If you don't want them horror movies donate them to me lol!😂 Especially The Abomination I love that movie. I'm a horror fan that's not too hard to please I like all of your bad movies. So donate them to me.🤔
My problem with the back story is that a bad childhood can maybe turn you into a serial killer, but it doesn't make you impervious to bullets. For me unexplained evil, born into a nice middle class family, works better.
Im not a big horror fan and ive inly seen a few halloween movies, but i agree, kills was ASS. I think that whole trilogy blows, but kills was terrible.
Jesus….”incredibly mean spirited.” I’m assuming that you’re referring to the baby scene. It’s not mean-spirited, but it highlighted to complete disconnect that the aliens have with the suffering of humanity. It’s a key scene, that I found highly disturbing. But, It’s a HORROR film, Ken. I never got those kinds of comments. I couldn’t care less about Johansson getting naked in the film, it’s an outstanding, bleak Sci-Fi film that features a man-eating alien, attempting to live life as her prey. To each, their own..
I consider ‘When a Stranger Calls’ an awesome 15 minute short film. Just watch the opening and turn it off. The sequel, ‘When a Strangers Calls Back’ is the superior movie.
Abomination is great! Witchtrap, When A Stranger Calls (original) and Scare Package are good! Under the Skin is okay. You must not have that many bad horror movies in your collection, haha!
When you say B movie or bad movie, there a chance I might still like it... Go back and watch scare package because it's making fun of horror movies. Now the sequel I heard went downhill.
Hellseekers not very good. It's kind of like Jacob's ladder. The ending is pretty cool. Hellraiser Revelations would be pretty decent but it's basically a remake of the first film and but the guy that plays pinhead sucks.
Honestly, I would have to disagree with you on Funeral Home sure it was pretty slow, but I found it pretty disturbing it reminded me of Psycho in a way except the slasher is an old woman. I think it's pretty underrated, but if you didn't like it well that's your opinion. The rest of these films look really bad though especially Lovers Lane that film sounds so so bad nice artwork though still not watching it though.
I actually really enjoyed all of the Annabelle movies I like how the 3rd Annabelle movie brings it back to the first one so the first one makes more sense. I actually recently made it a priority of mine to get all of the Annabelle on blu ray with a slipcover which I accomplished. And I recently saw The Nun. Thought it was okay. Didn't think it was that awful. But what do I know I've only been watching horror movies since probably four or five years old. Call me crazy 🤣

The first 4 that made it to theatre were the best. 3 and 4 were pushing it but at least they got theatre release.
There’s some on here I totally agree with. Others I like.
Seance, scare me, vhs 85, conjuring 3, scare package, nightmare on elm street remake, Firestarter i all agree with.
I love RZ Halloween!
Kenny, your taste is in your rear end. Brother, zombies, halloween is much bette then the last 3 films now, the second film he did was not very good, but I thought it was an interesting take.
Ken if you dont like it anymore, why keep them, Franchises stop talkin shit, its takin up SPACE, GET RID
Because he's a hoarder.
@Buckaroo04 ive been watching him for a while and ya, he's trying very hard to be like the others
“Why waste time say lot word when few word do trick.”
I found it interesting that recently Ken was praising Halloween Ends and constantly knocking Kills. Wouldn’t “Kills” have sold a lot more than “Ends”?
Is it part of his partnership with the Studios to push certain releases?
@@mastergillbates Why would you think my opinion on a movie would have anything to do with how well a movie sells?
I got a good laugh out of this video, so thank you. "Quality dies tonight!"
I remember renting with friends, both Witchtrap and Witchboard. Witchboard was the better flick.
You hated Pyewacket? I think it's super underrated. You should give it another watch.
You should put all of these movies together on your shelves
I don't have a lot of horror in my collection. I am now getting back into it somewhat. Grew up with the 80's horror then lost interest as they got bad.
One of the worst i have is Exorcist 2 The Heretic Ken.If i bin it, then i know i've got one missing in the Exorcist Collection though.Trials of a collector .👻👻👻
Without having watched yet. Im assumming this video was an excuse to shart on Bubba Ho Tep 😂
Nope. Lol
I don't have any of these movies in my collection. No mediocrity or bad movies allowed.
I love Halloween Kills
Glad you can appreciate The Nun.
I’m disappointed you got rid of those 2 important horror classics, son. At least you kept army of darkness I hope.
I liked H Kill. I get the criticism, but it’s tons of fun. Interesting enough, John Carpenter says it’s his favorite since the OG.
I take it this man does not own Halloween Resurrection.
@@northernskying That movie is harmless. I enjoy it for what it is
Ressurection is the worst Halloween by far.
@@ragonproductions4791 Agreed and I thought part 6 was awful without Danielle Harris continuing her role herself. I saw it in the theater and walked out at some
point.
Finally he speaks to truth Lover's Lane sucks
Pyewacket? Man, I really enjoyed that one. You and I tend to agree on most titles. You should give it another chance at some point!
The Halloween Kills disrespect will not be tolerated.lol Definitely has flaws but easily one of my favorites!
Man, Lovers Lane is one hell of a challenge watch. So crappy.
Just one man's opinion learn to watch before you bye
Firestarter remake was bad but it was MPA rated pg-13 and my son loved it. One of his first horror movies that got him hooked. We have since seen so much better flicks.
Are you going to sell those crappy movies?
@@jpenir Maybe someday?
@midlevelmedia I am very tight on space so I sell anything crappy or I'll never watch again. I'd rather keep space for actual good stuff. You're lucky to have a nice setup behind you with a lot of space it seems
Um, Scare Package was supposed to be horror anthology PARODY. It was Scary Movie in Creepshow form
I’ve gave that enough hate lately. Lol
Yeah. I don’t know what I was on when I scored that. Definitely not my thoughts from memory. Lol
@@griffredux9966 That’s why I keep the “bad” movies. I may change my mind. This is a good example of that.
You're so funny Kenny Halloween kills is not good oh my god get with it brother it's one of best in the franchise
It sucks
@@midlevelmedia a lot of your videos suck😀😅
@@midlevelmedia Script: Evil dies tonight - repeat ad infinitum. Yawn
Ken, if SW IX could be a horror movie, it would be the first one on the video. Lol
Avoid My Deadly Friend, The Boogens, Boogeyman, Zombie High, Creepshow III.
When a Stranger Calls has a sequel to it, Ken. lol I actually liked that one, I don't consider it to be a straight horror flick, more suspense than anything.
A lunatic preys upon a lone babysitter, lol, but he gets caught and then seeks her out yet again. Charles Durning from The Sting, Tootsie, Dark Night of the Scarecrow
plays the Investigator.
I love Halloween Kills and ok with Rob Zombie's Halloween. I liked the different take on Myers.
His hate for Halloween Kills baffles me. I enjoyed that movie overall. Michael is just brutal in that one. To each their own, I guess.
@@analogblues It's fun teasing him about some movies he hates. LOL. Same with The Core. Love the movie, he hates it. LOL. It's all in good fun!
I can’t watch any Halloween film after Season of the Witch. They’re all shitty cash grabs that make a mockery of the original film. They can’t even make an effective mask for Michael Meyers.
I think Rob Zombie Michael history, was a sort of a copy of Freddy Kruegers of Freddy's Dead.
For me:
Friday the 13th part V
Jason X
Alien 3
Alien Resurrection (although I love Winona Ryder)
Alien vs. Predator Reqiuem
Rob Zombie's Halloween is a good purchase for the feature length making-of documentary, about 4 hours I think.
It is incredible if you like watching making-ofs and better than than the crap movie.
I completely disagree with you about Zombie's Halloween. I thought it was fantastic. His Halloween 2 though?
I don't agree with When a strager calls. I watched the Second sight edition (region free) in which there is the sequel and the short film. The film is very 70's and the police investigation in the second part is very well done.
If you don't want them horror movies donate them to me lol!😂 Especially The Abomination I love that movie. I'm a horror fan that's not too hard to please I like all of your bad movies. So donate them to me.🤔
Hmmm I thought that Annabelle Creations was super scary
Why remake a stone cold classic like Halloween. The origin backstory of Michael Myers sucked so bad and was completely unnecessary.
I thought the first RZ Halloween was awesome, fight me 🤡
@@krazykevin4225 Movie was awesome
I loved the backstory and for me it added a lot to the character of Michael.
Thanks for saving me time and money.
Do you have a good and well written horror video? I would like to see that.
Halloween Kills was dumb but it was somewhat entertaining with the kills i agree. Halloween Ends on the hand was unwatchable
I consider ‘When a Stranger Calls’ an awesome 15 minute short film. Just watch the opening and turn it off. The sequel, ‘When a Strangers Calls Back’ is the superior movie.
You’re exactly right about that.
If you're looking to sell any of these that you don't like, I would like to get some of them
Abomination is great! Witchtrap, When A Stranger Calls (original) and Scare Package are good!
Under the Skin is okay.
You must not have that many bad horror movies in your collection, haha!
I love Pyewacket.
Such a creepy film.
The only film I really liked in this video is Lovers Lane.
Many of these I haven’t seen. I guess this is the reason 😄
The Hills Have Eyes 2 remake was disgusting. Even the original had a bad sequel and it couldn't improve on it in the remake.
