- Hi Crafting Bunnies!
Today is a crocheting tutorial day! In this video, I show you guys how to create a miniature rilakkuma plushie! I love how the teddy bear turned out. I personally use mine to decorate my luggage bag and backpack to make it easier to identify, but of course you can use your cute little amigurumi plushie for other things.
This tutorial video will go through all the steps to create this bear so even if you are a beginner at crocheting, you should still be able to follow along! Good luck and keep on crafting!!
Love,
Mio

I did it today, and i made a pattern. I'm latina, sorry if I write something wrong.
WHEN YOU FINISH A ROAD USE SOMETHING TO SEE WHEN THE ROWS ENDS.
HEAD:
1: In a magic ring crochet 6 single crochet.
2: increase in every multiple of 2, i mean 2 single crochet in the 6 single crochet you did before. [12 stitches]
3: increase in every multiple of 3. 1 sc, one increase. [18]
4: increase in every multiple of 4. 2 sc, one increase. [24]
5: increase in every multiple of 5. 3 sc, one increase. [30]
Do 5 more rows of only single crochets.
DECREASE.
11: invisible decrease in every multiple of 5.
12: invisible decrease in every multiple of 4
13: invisible decrease in every multiple of 3
14: invisible decrease in every multiple of 2
Then you will have 6 stitches there so you cut the yarn and leave a long strip and with the yarn noodle you take only front part of your stiches and pull it and it will close nice. Search a tutorial if you don't understand something.
note: increase are two single crochet in the same stitch.
BODY (LEGS)
1: in a magic ring you do 6 single crochet and close it.
2-4: single crochets rows (you can do 3 or 4 rows)
Then you join the 2 legs and crochet as you normally do. I increase in the lateral sides, like 2 times. And did like 5 or 6 rows. I decrease in the lateral sides one time for the neck (?) like Mio said.
EARS:
In a magic ring crochet 6, a then increase in every stitch until you have 12 stitches.
You can glue or sew them.
For the belly? Well you can crochet an oval or use felt.
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL ANYWAY ❤️
*sorry if my english is not the best*
Thank you very much for making this, the video was very frustrating, I wish she'd done what you did here! And you're right she should use the proper terms
Thank you so much for making a pattern! I tried to follow her video and got very frustrated before I saw your comment. Thank you again, you are very much appreciated ♡♡
I agree she kept calling a stitch/single crochet a knot. I've never heard anyone call it that. but thank you for posting this.
You should've done this tutorial, thank you for the pattern 💖
Thank you!! I'm going to try this and the written pattern is greatly appreciated!!
Ive been crocheting for five years now, this was the very first tutorial i ever tried five years ago! Just know youre a major inspiration to many!!!
I wrote out the pattern as requested by another fan of Mio. It may not be perfect since I'm not the best at writing patterns and as Mio said herself, there isn't really a distinctive pattern for this one so it's a lot of eyeballing.
2.75 mm Hook
Working in joined rounds
Anything in* bold* means to repeat until the end of each round
Remember to chain 1 at the beginning of each new round
Head:
Chain 2 and start crocheting into the first chain to create the round shape of this pattern (or Magic Ring!)
Round 1: 6 Single Crochet (Abbreviated SC) into the chain as explained above. Slip Stitch to join (Abbreviated S2J)
Round 3-???: Since Mio didn't use any specific pattern here, *SC in the first three-four SC, INC in next*. Repeat this round as many times as you'd like. The video seems to have this repeated about 6-7 times for a total of what looks like 9 rounds. S2J as always.
Round ???+1: Repeat round 3-??? but backwards. So if you were crocheting three SC and then INC, crochet three SC and either decrease or skip a SC like Mio is doing. Both work well for this pattern! Repeat this method until you have a ball for the head. Remember to stuff when the hole is closing quickly to prevent bunching and bursting.
End of Head.
Feet/Arms (Make 4):
Chain 2 and start crocheting into the first chain to create the round shape of this pattern (or Magic Ring!)
Round 1: 6 SC into the chain as explained above. S2J (Abbreviated S2J)
Round 2-4: *SC in each SC*. Fasten Off three of the Feet/Arms when crocheting BUT NOT THE LAST ONE. You will need this to make the body.
End of Feet.
Body:
We're going to join the two feet together. With the foot still attached, we will be using the yarn as provided. Choose a random stitch on the other foot and slip stitch the two feet together.
Round 1: Chain 1, *SC around each SC (this means of both feet together, thus making them directly crocheted on to the body!)*
Round 2-5: You need to eyeball this. INC and DEC as you see fit to make the body shape. I would recommend to form little hips with expanding once or twice and work your way up, perhaps decreasing a little to form more of the stomach area. This part is totally up to you and see what you like.
-You want the body to be about the same size as the head. Stuff and fasten off, there will be a large gap at the top of the body.
End of Body.
Ears (Make 2 of everything below: total of 6 pieces)
For the brown: Create these like you have been starting off the head. I would say stop at about round 3. Again, this is eyeballed and requires your judgment based off the size of the head.
For the yellow: Do the same as for the brown part of the ear, but make these 1 round smaller as to nestle in the brown part. Make these as well with 1 round to be the bottoms of the feet.
All assembly is in the video. Happy crocheting!
THANK YOU! Thank you, thank you, so much!
Thank you, so kind. I will start knitting right now!
Beatriz You're welcome! :D
+Chaky thank you nson. much
مجد العمير What?
Honestly thank you so much for making this vid. For the longest time I've struggled trying to find a good tutorial on how to crochet a magic circle and now I finally get it. 🙏🏼
Not only do I adore the rilakkuma, I absolutely love the nail art!
Soooo adorable!!
+BudgetHobby i wish i could do this.its realy hard for me.:(
+Donghong Liu (Azalea) I need more practce
Same!! Btw I love your videos!!
duffer
+BudgetHobby you can begin practicing doing chains like shown and then begin to make the other loops.
If you are an experienced crocheter, you can also use a magic ring instead of a chain ring : )
me too
What's a magic ring
no, that was the very first thing I learned, very beginner friendly, not advanced or experience needed.
I was so addicted with miniature stuffs and crocheting is one of my hobbies. OMG! Thanks because your tutorials are helping me out making this fabulous crochet project!! Godbless! Looking forward to your next miniature crochet project!
This is so adorable! And there isn't any confusing patterns to follow
wow. crochet is... much more complex than i thought
You need to start with learning the basics and work your way up. This project isn't for beginners
Mio's crochet videos are a bit complexed when trying to understand them. Check out Sharon Ojala's channel!
I got the hang of it
its really not try a tutorial on how to crochet then comeback to this when ur good at it and this all makes sense
its easy
take it from me Kim
I'M 12 and i've made like what? maybe 18 crochet stuff toys
Kawaii tutorial, as always, Mio! Keep up with the great work!
Thank you soo much for the idea
I try it and it turned out so well😍😍
I love you so much Flying Mio!!!!! and 2nd Commenter!!!!!
This is too cute-
It actually came out good for my first time :o
Tysm for the tutorial! :D
Omg thank you so much!!!! I've been waiting for a video like this so I could add it on my planner Flying Mio
It's quite nice to see your process creating your own crochet pieces! It's encouraging me to let loose a little and to crochet in a more free way, if that makes sense? I'm a person who follows a pattern religiously xD thank you so much!
hey!! just finished making it.. took me almost 3 hrs to finish it. and yes mine is of blue and white color combination.. :)
thanks for sharing.
So adorable! Good thing the vid is slow paced. Gonna tried this one day when I'm not a total beginner.
all I have is white, pink and rainbow yarn. I call mine icebear😂
Thank you for this. It turned out so cute! Gave it to someone as a gift.
This is just like rainbow loom! Thanks for uploading!
i cant even do a simple square without failing miserably

she tried teaching me trust me. XD
Thats such amazing work for eyeballing it! Kudos!
Thank youuuuu❤️ now I have a cute little teddy bear
be lovely to see more tutorials . I love kawaii things. just too cute. Thank you for videos x
Wow this is so cute! I really need to learn how to crochet.
Pikachu crochet tutorial
WOW THIS IS SO CUTEEEEE!!💖
Mio there u go with another awesome craft idea
This is so cute. I’m going to make this during the summer so I have something to do.
This was SO confusing... I'm just SOO frustrated!!!
I can't understand the confusion? Whoever is getting confused, you first need to watch some crochet basic videos. Watch ... Making a Crochet chain, single crochet and crocheting in the round. Hope it helps
+jesysgrl I think she goes fast and it confuses me.
Uhhhhhhhh I can't find the right plushie to make literally I have been all over the Internet it's just socks socks socks
+Rowsey Mousey that's because fluffy socks will give you the closest result to a fluffy plushie. Crotcheting and knitting is not only harder to make it with but also will make the plushie way less squishy and soft :P
Emily Phu ME TOO aghhhhh!
Definitely making this. So cute!
Fantastic ❣️ I love it so much❣️❣️❣️ Thank you for sharing the tutorial with us all so much hon❣️❣️❣️ God bless you😇
I TRYED SO MANY FUCKING TIMES I AM GETTING FUCKING MAD
Amber Flores, CHILL!
Amber Flores SAME
Thank you so much I have been wanting to do this for a long time!
you should really write out the pattern, because you arent really telling people how to crochet. you are just winging it. a lot of people rather a set pattern so they know they are doing it right. and aswell, its not a knot. its a stitch.
Samantha Blake yeah man I'm still stuck at the head...still looking for other videos that would give exact measurement of the head
she doesn't have to, I made it perfectly fine, and she is telling you how to do it by explaining how the body is made, and whether each piece is made up of worked or types of crochet stitches. So this video is helpful, maybe not what you were looking for, but many people like em can follow it and it is a great tutorial.
@@serenekim5409 I made this comment four years ago when it would have made the difference to me. I wouldn't have been able to follow this tutorial at my skill level.
But I know with hindsight acknowledge that my comment might have been to harsh.
@@samblake1746 lol that makes, sense, sorry
I gave up. This is so hard.
the result are amazing
You forgot his tail!😔
dam
Aha
I’ve been crocheting for 3 years now and this is the worst tutorial to start learning
Cute Ted bear. Thanks for your tutorials
If you want to get into crochet. Look for other REAL tutorials. This project turned out well but as a tutorial, it isn't one.

Can I just mention how utterly adorable your dogs are?
I can't even crochet a straight scarf so I guess I'm ready for Rilakkuma
Your video was my motivation to start crocheting :D I've been doing it since then and man, it is so much fun :D thank you ^^
finally, a crocheting video i can actually follow.
For me it was actually easier When the recipe was more flexible (like not exact measurements and stitches etc) But I understand how for some people taht could be more confusing. Either way you AMAZING and this was super cute and helpful ah!❤️❤️❤️
THAT WAS COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!LOOOOL!!!
Really cute tutorial!
Aww all of it is so Kawaii 😍😍

Love this 💖💖💖💖
I Love the way you made the bear my little sister wants the s surprise
I adjusted mine a bit but it turned out absolutely adorable! What kind of yarn did you use? I can't find a similar brown to the one you used.
That technique of turning the feet into the body is brilliant. I'm actually going to start doing that with my own dolls, because the way I do them now is a pain.
I like your all videos so much
love your dogs
Own it's so cute! Of course I will do this pretty cute bear! Thank you so much to tech me! 😄 #🇧🇷 and I also practiced my English 😉 x2 thanks
that is so cool and so cute

It's so cute yours is so neat whenever i crochet its a big yarn mess
Also can u please do a llama or alpaca???
Yoyr video so helpfull... And now i can make a doll... Thank you so much
Awww so cute Rilakuma😍 We have the same nicknames 'cause I'm Mio too!😘
Cute piece! This was actually The first ever crochet project I attempted. Not gonna lie, it was a massive mistake. Because as a beginner, you really need guidelines and structure and the actual pattern to follow. I wasn't at the level pf eyeballing my projects yet, so it was a frustrating disaster. But afterafter gaining some more experience, I tried the project again and it turned out really cute. Kinda scared to put it on my bag though, because it'll probably get destroyed with the rough conditions.
It is awesome!!
Oh this is so cute! I don't have brown yarn so I'll just make the white rilakkuma! Hehe
You mean Korilakkuma? :3
Maya The Puga yep! Thanks I didn't know it's name hehe
Thanks so much for the ideas. If you have some yellow wool/yarn you could make gudetama!
