0:39 that is a really cool indicator all art deco style
Better than modern elevators
Cool old lift
Beautiful elevator :)
Beautiful ambience of the Building itself. So calm.
Amazing!!!
Amazing that is was still manually operated with hand crack for so long. It runs quite smooth as well.
It actually called "The 1925 Century Building" Next time you're around let me know and I'll show you the inside of the apt... If you interested anyway.
Really wanted to see the floor numbers change.
Those elevators worked just like a Swiss watch for nearly a century. And they got modernized to automatic operation? I am presuming the traction machine was AC or there was a DC rectifier I did not hear an MG set running at the top of the shaft. All three got automated?
That is because there is no generator on those.
I’m surprised that elevator still works even after close to 100 years
What about 160 years elevators that still work
Things were made so much better back then. Todays elevators are crap
I'm not surprised. If properly maintained, these old elevators will last virtually forever.
Very old OTIS lift
It’s a shams these gates can’t be motorised to keep as much as possible original
