Man, the second half of the Goingdownklok episode made me sit on the edge of my chair. It made a strong impression on me. Still does. One of my favourite episodes. Also Nathan singing to Abigail in "Requiem" was so hilarious I rolled on floor laughing like crazy 😆

I like her and Nathan, but they decide to make something happen between them only after like the 2nd episode shes in? Seriously? I hope they do more with her in the movie and she just won't be another hopeless victim again. I mean apparently in the movie it has a romantic plotline (said in the synopses) sooo who knows.
Why can't she be both? What's wrong with being the love interest? Also, she is a character on her own. If she was introduced sooner, her and Nathan's relationship would probably be fleshed out more. At first, they didn't like each other, then they hooked up in a desperate situation, Nathan caught feelings, but Abigail wanted to forget about it, and then they sorta ended up together. I feel if adult swim didn't rush Brandon, he would've definitely given Abigail more scenes and made her and Nathan's relationship organic.

Especially with the show being so male dominated, it seems that they just wanted to throw in any female, and then also decided to make her love interest (she's definitely introduced as a stand alone character but it's so painfully obvious that her and Nathan were supposed to fall for each other, she was quite literally made for that entire reason. Sure she's also a girl boss and a good producer, but she was made as a plot device for Nathan and Nathan only). Again, I don't hate her as a love interest, but her being the only kinda well introduced female character being reduced to yet again just a love plot for a male main character because there just has to be some sort of hetero romance going on is very overdone at this point. I don't dislike her as a love interest, I was just pointing out that I wish they did more with them because of how little Abigail is made to fit in the plot. I like their dynamic for how they made Abigail standoffish and Nathan completely head over heels, that was interesting. For being as rushed as the creators were, it's a decent relationship. Though, at the same time, I think they didn't have to shove in a love plot at all. That didn't need to happen, but yknow that's just me. I look too deeply into silly shows that I love.

It just depends on what demographic they're making it for. But I think they'll give Abigail more screen time in the movie. She was the straight man of the group after it was clear Charles couldn’t really fit that role after becoming the Dead Man. He was too deeply involved with the church of the black klok at that point to just be a normal guy. Abigail was probably designed along a similar throught as Casca from Berserk, that is to say she was made to be a bold, unapologetic stand out from the pack. Her mood is different, her style is different, her sex is different, even her skin tone is different from the majority of the cast. It’s pretty clear that it wasn’t made with a sexual or stereotypical idea in mind, but her character was written with dethklok’s sexuality in mind to give her a more interesting, occasionally standoffish personality. She is a wonderfully crafted character and a great addition to the show
Oh yeah that happens quite a bit, I mean the OG Justice League series gave us John Stewart instead of Hal Jordan purely for diversity but come on John Stewart is million times more enjoyable than Hal.
