The competition for sound is usually EMD, though GE’s chugging sound you can’t go wrong with either. 1:58 Damn I’ve never seen a BNSF Ace get a burn scar that bad!
Being a railfan in the UK, it would be the EMD in the 59 and 66 classes. On my trips to the USA, my all time favourite would be the GE 8-40b and c with standard cabs. On the modern stuff, I love the rebuilds from CSX and NS, the gevos look soft compared with the big EMD SD70ace
I like the EMD's better I railfan CN/CPKC and for some reason the SD70M-2s that CN owns and the ACus that CPKC owns just look better than the GEVOs in my opinion
I have worked on both of them and I would rather work on EMDs. SD 40 -2 I would say is the most reliable.

That’s very hard….. On one side GE but on the other EMD but I will have to say EMD

EMD types because I heard they have the loudest horns like K5LLA and knows how to get those out of the way real dirty.

I like both ge and emd
Well don't worry GE doesn't build locos anymore another company bought the rights. And progress is on the ropes won't be long they'll be gone.
Yeah GE is now owned by WABTEC who also owns MPI.
