Nah...Sounwave has something in him that's way more special than any other in-house TDE producer. None of those other cats have what he has. If you aren't a producer it's hard to explain. Sounwave has an ear those other dudes will never have. Nobody can touch the second beat on Good Kid...sounds modern and '94 Death Row at the same time.

its so funny i was listening to both albums isolated from each other and i heard silver soul and instantly thought of money trees. crazy coincidence but i’m not complaining. teen dream is a banging album, but nothing compared to this work of art

While I did know that the beat used in "The art of peer pressure" was from Suspekt "Helt alene" (feat. Tina Dickow). Then I just realised that "Boom clap bachelors" is also Danish and an ooold one at that. That's realy cool.

@VinRican Great video on a classic album. What an amazing time it was when Good Kid, m.A.A.d. City came out, which is 1 of my favorite albums by Kendrick Lamar. Crazy samples, and some of the samples I didn't even know/see coming. 5 Years later today, WOW!! Where in the hell does time go? Also, I was wondering since the Wax Only on Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly, unfortunately being 1 of the videos that was flagged, is there any chance of you redoing a Wax Only video on that album anytime soon?

Ejai Cook When I was listening 2 this album for the first time, I was expecting nothing from the track, just a simple beat rap with not much to offer, but when I actually got 2 the track, every word worked perfectly with the role beat, great book and use of voice from Kendrick it like blew my mind....still does every time I get my ears around that track....

When I first heard kendrick was in the game - the city
Aztec Malverde Me, too. I had no idea that he would blow up like he did. I thought he would be too lyrical for the public, but he was able to finesse his style for the masses, without really "dumbing down." That's pretty darn ingenious when you think about it, because many have tried and few have succeeded.
I heard Kendrick on a track with Shwayze back in 2011 on Shwayzes track ”Over and Over”. Such a mindfuck to go back and see how the featured artist turned out as big as Kendrick Lamar, and the Shwayze ending up being a one hit wonder.
