@@EmpressReacts it may have been a club hit. Kylie didn't have many hits on the pop charts here. I only know 3 of her songs, out of everything that she's done in her career.
Kylie Minogue accidentally fell into pop music after she performed "Locomotion" at a fundraiser and was told that she should record it. She had been a child/adolescent soap opera star in Australia. Her first 4 albums were highly controlled by "Hit Factory" producers Stock, Aitken, and Waterman. She had little to say in most aspects of her career. "Better The Devil You Know" marks the beginning of Kylie breaking free from their control. She was also dating Michael Hutchence of INXS at this time who was seen as a bad influence on everybody's favorite pop princess. He took her from good girl next door to what the press labeled "Sex-Kylie". He also encouraged her to take more control over her career and to believe in herself more. After she left the first record company, she recorded 2 albums with an Australian Indie label called Deconstruction. Those 2 albums are her least successful, but widely thought of as 2 of her best albums. "Dangerous Game" which you already reacted to is from this period. After that she returned to pop and had huge successes with "Spinning Around" and many other hits. She's come from being an artist with no control to an artist with total control over her career. She's worked hard to improve her voice and her dancing. She's become such a great performer. She's the most gracious live performer I've ever seen. I'd love for you to go back and take a look at some very, very early kylie like "Locomotion" or "I Should Be So Lucky". Also, take a look at an iconic performance "Can't Get You Out of My Head" live from The Brits. I hope you'll be down for a Kylie journey! She's so worth it! At the 2000 MTV Europe awards, Madonna performed "Music" in a t-shirt that said "Kylie Minogue" across the front.
