As a postie, it was great to see you take the time and speak with the RM postal worker. Simon Thompson (CEO) only wants to push his truth forward to the media and most of that is half-truths or to be kind only giving the people of GB half the story. His offer of 9% for example, is based on the rejected 2% payrise earlier this year, while the renaining 7.5% is paid to us in bits over 18months. But there's a catch. If you want thr renaining 7.5% payrise, you have to agree to the proposed T&C changes. Compulsory redundancies, mandatory Sundays (flat rate), the abolishment of statutory sickpay, new employees earning 20% less pay, the modernisation of RM Fleet changing to owner drivrrs like Amazon and our morning starts beginning 2-3 hrs later. These sre proposed conditions we are aware of. Maybe there are a few more i have excluded.
Our overtime rate is 16pence more than our flat rate. I get paid £12.63 (flat), and £12.79 (o/t). While his lordship, Simon Thompson gets over £700k for destroying the workforce moral, revamping our infrastructure and ruining the reputation of the Group and its members who have been forced to strike. He is just like our last CEO Rico. Stays a couple of years, ruins the RM Goup and buggers off with a multi-million pound settlement that rewards failure. We will probably end up with Liz Truss as our CEO in 2023.

12/12 22 Alan Leighton, who started his career with Mars bars, was over a decade ago going to be RM's saviour. A series of Chairmen/women have taken turns since then with mega payments. Was'nt ST involved in the Covid testing kits debacle ?
      T. B liar could have appointed Alan Johnson- former postman & CWU Secretary to straighten matters out during Labour's time in Office. Postmen/women are resisting turning RM into a clone of the Hermes/Evri 'service'.

Mr CEO wants his millions of bonuses and also give more millions to other shareholders. Plus also give his staff a real time paycut whilst making their jobs harder and set unrealistic targets. He gave out over 400 m to shareholders and the company invested 900m on a Parcelhub this year , of course it will lose money intially. But in time will gain that money back and more.

Well done AA! u done well to highlight the issues causing this action to be taken by the staff.
1st audit I've seen from you. Will look out for more.
Another auditor tried a strike audit the other day, it just come across as all wrong, from his approach to his mute questions, it was just really disappointing to see such a great missed opportunity go by.

I thought that if just one postie comes over and explains it, I'd get the human side of the strike and the viewers would too. I am really proud that I took a fly on the wall approach and indirect images as we spoke...not forcing the message home etc. I'm pleased it got a few views and I'll return for the next strike day for a follow up. Thanks for subbing and commenting, it means a lot!!

Yes I think u got the union rep out to talk to u and he done a good job of explaining the issues. I agree you're approach was spot on this time. Definitely not the time for any kind of confrontation.

Many posties have families to support and it's not easy in the cost of living crisis as it is. A 2 per cent pay offer is a joke. They even attach that offer to Draconian new conditions.

Mate it’s Christmas some people haven’t Evan got the money for Christmas dinner never mind presents to give looking on committing suicide from the pressure of not having a job there is a time and a place for these kind of things so the only people suffering are once again the public but that’s cool is it and I suffer mental health so I no how it affects people so if you want to complain about the pay you signed up for don’t make the public suffer simple
