Guardian-Angel I've noticed more that the pistols at least don't have different sounds, some just have a little less bass or a little more than the others, it's the same thing with the bolt action rifles and the semi auto rifles, and the sub machine guns. Although I've noticed the STG 44 does have a unique sound, most other in the game are just slight variations of every other gun sound. I don't want to bash on you here but that's just my honest opinion and observation
Even weapons sound brutal in this game. Probably my favorite depiction of ww2 guns in games ever. The sound and animations are amazing to this day. The visuals are a little outdated, but no big deal. The World at War itself is one of the best ww2 shooters of all time, hands down and definitely the best in the series.

The mosin nagant is innacurate for 2 reasons. 1. The bolt handle was straight, not turned down like it is in this game 2. You cannot close the bolt to eject the stripper clip as the clip guide is very tight and doesn't allow it to fall out. You have to pull it out manually.
I've shot a model 97 in real life, and its the only pump shotgun I've been afraid of working the pump, with it still on my shoulder. That block that comes back to recock the hammer scared me to death, I could just imagine it striking me right in the eye.
Believe it or not the 2 handed firing technique with pistols didnt come around till the late 50s. They would shoot pistols one handed. I believe they fixed this in the later cod games set in ww2

He didnt waste a bullet at all. Thats literally correct. He shot the last bullet reloaded it racked the used shotgun slug and the new one was stripped into the chamber.

The SVT reload also shows human error. You can see the soldier struggle a little bit to line up the magazine. Nice touch by the development team
