Worked with my Dad since i was a young boy, 12 years down the line and have loved every minute of it. I smile watching you both as it reminds me of mine and dads working relationship. Bad health has forced him into early retirement but i cherish every moment i've had learning from him and working along side him. Love your videos, keep it up!
Even as a fellow bricky - I’m looking forward to seeing this wall finished, classic pointing with a classic strong bond. Something I believe the industry lacks these days is the craftsmanship that used to go into bricklaying. Taking pride in your work and appreciating quality over quantity is something I believe should really be reintroduced on a grand scale. I miss the old architecture and thought that went into buildings in the Edwardian/Victorian times. Well done lads, a pleasure to watch you work as per.
Hi stu I'm a level one diploma bricklaying Student at boston college I really enjoy your videos and it helps me with my work as your videos ain't just you and kc eating pies thankyou for helping
Kian Baxter It must be great stu getting feed back like this and the enjoyment of helping the next generation pass it on forward and keep trying your best

The best memories I have are of my dad taking me to work with him in the summer holidays 1970s. Watching you two brings back those memories and really makes me smile watching the banter you have together not to mention the top quality workmanship. Well done keep it coming.
Stu mate , love to see you working with your dad...my dad passed when I was 14... I NB live in America in Boston Massachusetts. I’m 75 and a retired policeman.. cheers god bless
I’ve worked with my dad all my live since the age off 11 helping him out now (18 years old) working full time with him. Can’t beat working with your dad! All the best for 2020❤️👍
Stu one day you will be an old man living in a big house with plenty in the bank and you will miss the days of going out in the van grafting for a few quid with your old man. Appreciate you bringing us along mate.
I was told in my apprenticeship in the late 80s if a mixer is full always empty it and never restart with a full load as it puts a huge load on the motor, so to extend the life of you mixer never restart when full. Love the new style vloging Stew and love KC
It’s a pleasure watching your videos as it’s great to see the precision detail that you and Dad put into all your jobs. I have starting watching all the video content you do so this keeps me entertained. Keep the videos going and do not take notice of any negative comments.
It is good to see a proper bonded wall being built. Too many people these days are just using bricks as a facing and putting breeze blocks behind and just using metal ties. Top job being done there and keep up the good work and keeping high standards
Hi Stu, Just would like to thankyou for all the hard work you put into your jobs as a bricklayer, you have helped me become a better bricky and would just like to thankyou man, loving the video as always boss
Lovely job lads I've been a brickie for over 40 years and was taught to take pride in my work which stood me in great stead Its getting harder now because am getting old but it's made me a good living and I've meet a good few characters on building sites
Hi Stu, great video as usual. Btw, your mixer probably stopped working because it overheated. In future, unwrap all of your extension lead to prevent the cable overheating and causing an issue for the mixer. Hope that helps 👍
Enjoyment of the week: taking in the teachings and contemplations of men at work from Lanc. And a brew beside. Weather here in Southern Finland sucks all the same.
Stu and kc,as long as the complements out way the criticisms, you both are doing a great job.Keep up the great video's. I'm sure there are guys out there like myself who are picking up loads of tips from you and your dad. What a team.Great stuff!!
I really enjoyed 'Dinner time with KC and Stuart' 😂 there're some lovely people in the world still. U were both very well looked after.. and very good job 👏 👍
these are customers who found us from RUclips and did actually make those personalised mugs and let us sit on their house and film. They then loved to watch the video back. All the best

Hi Stu & KC Great video I work with my dad from about the age of 10. I followed in his foot steps and became a carpenter. Your videos bring back so many happy memories of him. Just one question as the wall you are building in the video Is a small retaining wall should there be weep holes in the bottom of it or is there going to be a land drain behind it?
Hi Stu, I'm not a bricklayer myself but I really enjoy watching your video's, it's great to see KC working along side you aswell, keep up the good work mate....
Stu: I'm from Upholland originally. My grandmother owned a chippy years ago on Greenough street going up to Scholes light nr. the old Central Park. I've lived in the US (now near to Hershey in Pennsylvania) for the last 15 years. This episode seeing you pair tuck into a couple of mate n' prater pies and a brew just made me drool allover't bloody place! I'm going to be doing some bricklaying at my own house soon so I've been watching your instructional videos. It's great listening to a proper Wigan accent. I've not lost mine in what's now 54 years. BTW, the Americans constantly say "WTF did he just say??? Dumb arses!
I work in a warehouse on nights I'm watching this at 2 o'clock in the morning even tho chances off me building a brick wall are slim to nill good video great work
Hi stu as a brick layer my self and I get the old bond that no one really does any more but just wounded y dint back it up in block work as the brick work won't be seen with the banking at the back seems a shame in not seeing it is all I mean
I remember going to work with my dad, from a proper young age, (like proper young play in the sand after watching him mixing sort of age) sweeping up then carrying bricks, slabs, bags of sand or cement... good times, but it's only now that I'm grown up I really realise that the reason that I was there laboring for him was because he'd have never afforded child care in the school holidays!
You need to change the capacitor in the mixer Stu mine kept doing it, got any jobs up your way don’t get looked after by customers like that in 🏴 😉
Stu... your videos really do bring a smile to my face mate! Good bricklaying once again also you getting very looked after by this customer aha keep up the good work 😁❤️
Hey Stu, thanks for all your content! I want to do a wall like this in my front garden. It’s not going to be retaining just a feature that I will stone clad over the top of. Do I need the columns at either end and along the length? The wall will be 8m long and only 1m high, Obviously I want to reduce as many angles as possible to make the stone work easier. Thanks again from Australia 🇦🇺 🦘

Class boys. keep up the great work. Got me hooked on every video.

👍🏻🏌️♀️
Lovely video really enjoyed it. I love the father and son discussion, it goes well with the other footage.
Thank you lads👍👍👍
Could watch these videos all day everyday. Keep the coming Stu 👍🏻
theyre a lot of hard work to produce buddy but i enjoy it so i will never stop, cheers Tom
Both my belle mixers have done the same thing, it's usually just the switch swap that out should work a treat
The issue with the motor on the mixer could be a flat spot or a burnt contact, if it happens again try turning the drum a bit and see if it starts
Hi Stu.
Liked the video.
Keep up the good work.
I've always like the english bond the best. For structure n appearance
I really enjoy watching your videos, I'm a plasterer and often wish I was a bricklayer. Good work chaps
Might just be me but hearing/watching the mortar getting mixed is satisfying
Great skill in de bricklaying. Love de videos and KC is cool also. Nice to see father and son work well together

Definitely my favourite jobs to do are garden walls

Apparently if you start a mixer when its full it damages the motor over time
Looks like a nice solid wall that. Have you never thought of just finishing off with a bucket handle?
Can look just as nice and a lot quicker.
