This is based on a short story that Judd tells the family dad in Pet Semetery and Timmy was very cogent. He walked through the town and this fleshed that story out.

I like the characters but the story is pretty much meh. But yeah, not enough to raise any major ire.

None of these remakes and prequels can hold a candle to the 89 OG movie.
But at least the doggo was the best actor in this. Hendricks was the only one who acted like a feral zombie.

Super late to the party but what I remember from the book, when Gage came back, he was very verbal, example taunting Jud about his wife.

Yes! I remember that as well. I was simply basing my observations of the cinematic universe they were building on. Although, I suppose the daughter in the remake was fairly verbal as well so I should've figured it would continue here.
