Amritsar is a wonderful city i was there about six months ago, and i recomend youto go to the Pakistani Border to the changing of the guards there, it's a wonderful show not to be missed. Its also a good time to head for the hills, to the Vaishno Devi temple north of Jammu, it's a nice place in the hills, and unexplored jem just waiting to be discovered :)

But dunking bowl (the outer bottom part of which touches human hands as well as the surface of the shelf it is sometimes kept on) into the reservoir to scoop up water is not really hygienic. Collect filtered distilled water from a tap system.

For some entertainment i'd thoroughly recommend going to see the closing ceremony at the Wagga border crossing . I'll travel back there one day . Take care

Im proud to be Sikh and its our pleasure to serve people .Our Guru taught us to help needy people if you have more than enough and i always remember this thing .Its give you a different level of happiness which you cannot get through any other things .
when India was being invaded one after another by outsiders in ancient times it was the Punjab, now divided between India and Pakistan which took the most beating. because of gen0cides one after the other it gave birth to the warrior community called Sikh. they have saved millions of Indians specially women. they are a big reason that present day India not an Islamic country.

Do you know why you have to take your shoes of?
I thought it was out of hygiene issues, but then someone suggested it's out of respect.
But then recently an Indian man told me it's to have crowd control.
it's not because of crowd control, it's in every Sikh temple. taking your shoes off, means showing respect to god

I visited this extraordinary temple many years ago, it was absolutely breathtaking. I didn’t partake of the food or visit the kitchens, so it was great to see this side of the monumental production in feeding so many thousands of people. Thank you for showing this Gabriel, it was brilliant to see 😊🇬🇧

Again, I do not see you doing the greeting in Punjab, India, as you also did not do the greeting (Namaste, Pranam) in Mumbai, India. In Punjab, the greeting is hands clasped as in prayer and saying the phrase "Sat Ri Akaal". Please greet people in Punjab, Inida, esp. at the Temple, with this phrase. ; )

And I was wondering - the foreign minister here in Denmark advise foreigners not to go near the Pakistan borders due to safety issues, and also near Jaisalmer etc. Would you recommend to go there anyways or have you done any research before your trip in regards to safety?
