    Be careful signing up. It’s really hard to cancel the membership and they have that set up that way on purpose. When you make an account there’s no option to cancel, you’ll have to email them. So you’re stuck at their will even after multiple times emails

      Dang it. We completely failed you. Sorry Frank. You must be pretty upset to have posted this. We make it super easy to cancel by email, which is a normal way to do it. What can we do to make it right?

    What I do to make sure that I'm powering through my shot is to always hit my follow through with power/speed. You can look at pros like AB, Calvin, or Eagle to see what that looks like. For me I have to pay close attention to the possition of my off arm and shoulders for the best result. Hope this helps 👍

    What my seeker dudes are trying to tell you all is that timing is important - and yes noone else on the entire dg-planet is talking about timing. Causes/fixes for early 'power point' would've been nice to include by the way. One thing that comes to mind is early reachback.

    • @seekrdiscgolf
      @seekrdiscgolf  Год назад +1

      Timing is part of it. Totally. It’s more about the acceleration through the shot and making sure you don’t give up power at the end of the flick right as you let go of the disc.

    I've seen this subject discussed in many videos so???
    I think the real thing that is not being discussed is physical fitness. It doesn't matter how perfect your timing is, if you don't have the strength and/or physique to accelerate the disc to 50, 60, or 70 mph, than you will never reach 300, 400, or 500ft.
    One question that has never been answered truthfully is why is it that professional golfers in the FPO can not through as far as professional golfers in the MPO??
    And, please don't even try to tell me that their form/timing is bad.

    • @crimsontide1980
      @crimsontide1980 Год назад

      Not entirely true..........I've seen many DG players who are not very physically strong, maybe 125-130 pounds, probably can't even bench their body weight, still throwing bombs. I've seen obese, not very flexible guys throw 450' as well. Neither would be considered very physically fit. But they did have proper form, balance, good reach back, kept the disc nose down, and as a result they could throw a disc far. I've also seen weight lifters who struggled to break 250' even though they were plenty strong enough. Most had bad form, timing issues, or were rounding their arms instead of reaching back and snapping straight through. Definitely don't have to be physically fit to throw 450 feet although it would probably help to make up for flaws in their form.

      @@crimsontide1980 I'm not referring to how strong someone is but how fast they can accelerate their body.
      Why can't professional golfers on the FPO throw as far as professional golfers on the MPO?
      Good form can help to obtain your max distance but your max distance can not be improved with good form.
      There's more to it than form.
      I think there needs to be more discussion and videos on how to increase physical acceleration. There are a few but not nearly enough.

    • @crimsontide1980
      @crimsontide1980 Год назад

      @Dave Lopez Strength can definitely make up for shortcomings in form but just being strong or fit alone will not give you automatic distance on your throws. Its definitely not a detriment to be strong but proper form is the most important aspect to getting good results. Arm speed is important but it's not exclusively tied into fitness or physical strength. There's lots of fit men and women who can throw a disc fast just as there are plenty of examples of people who are not in peak physical condition who can throw a disc with a lot of arm speed. Arm speed definitely plays a huge factor in distance, all I'm saying is that Arm speed is not necessarily indicative to being in shape or good conditioning.

    • @crimsontide1980
      @crimsontide1980 Год назад

      @Dave Lopez but form can also influence arm speed as well. It all ties in. I see by your second statement that you weren't necessarily talking about strength and physique, really just talking about arm speed and I can agree with that. It's all about HOW you can generate more arm speed that is the tricky part, and good form can definitely help you improve arm speed

      @@crimsontide1980 Strength and physique in relation to speed and acceleration.
      I'm thinking Bruce Lee speed. Not Arnold Schwarzenegger strength.
      A 6'5" person that is taller with longer arms has more time to accelerate then a person that is 5'6"
      Paige Pierce has great form. She's fast. But she still can not out distance Gannon Buhr. Or even Paul McBeth.
