Hi Trevor, I have lost access to my multifactor authentication app that was linked to my instagram. After the "how can we reach you page," I have entered my email address, which has sent me back a code to my email. However, after I input the code, the screen turns white. Do you happen to know how to work through this?
No everytime i try to press forgot password all it says is get help center or backup recovery code but i think the people that got in changed it

it didn't help me up because , it asks me for backup code and when i enter backup code they told it's wrong i cant open because of two factor so tell me what should i do man

Trevor I did all the steps but it still lead me to the code being sent to the number I no longer have access to. I had two step authentication set up, so it’s asking me for access codes.

@@Itsonly1.Jordan log out of all your accounts like all and choose the account you wanna get back in and is gonna ask for your password put forgot password then ur email or some then it should send you a code to get in thennnn it should actually sent you a 6 digit code

Around September of last year, I was uploading a tale to my account when I received an email indicating that my account had been temporarily locked. I couldn't get in since my phone number has changed but I had just gotten a new UK sim and my old sim with the number had been thrown away, and my account was registered on my old email, so I couldn't get back in. What do I do if:
I recently purchased new iPhone 14. I did not know I had to export or transfer my 2-step authentication codes to my new phone. I gave Apple my old phone and they wiped it clean for the trade in on my new phone.. my Instagram account requires me putting the 6 digit code in order to log in.. I have no access to these codes anymore. I’ve literally tried resetting the password every time and it keeps asking me for codes or backup codes.. there isn’t even a number to call and request help on this issue. My account is even verified through META in which I had to send in photo of my ID etc.. do you have any recommendations?

No didn't work. @1:07 it doesn't take me to that screen it takes me to help center via google browser when i click cant reset. I don't have access to my old phone number. Or the 2 factor auth code thing anymore. I have access to the email so I was able to reset my password but it keeps asking for The 2 factor auth code🤦🏽♀️.

I've tried it so many times but it won't help. The next step is to submit your video for the facial recognition. But it still won't work because I'm facing an issue during the video submission.

I tried recovery options. Although i have access to phone number linked with that instagram account they are asking for 6 digit authentication code which i dont have access.

Super helpful thanks, however, mine still requires the backup codes or 6 digit code from authentication app, both of which are not working for me... like how am i meant to get an authentication app if I can't get into the account in the first place...

@@cvflesh i got my account back, i logged into my other account ( you can use your friends or familys) and reported a problem through instagram. I wrote note like hey i cant log into my other account, im not getting security code on my number ( and i put number also in) .Try that because they dont check their support email. I deinstalled instagram, reinstall it and didnt try to log into for next 3 days. Dont try to get code or anything, just wait and today was the third day, and I logged in without problem.

I have activated two factor authenticator but I didn't saved any screenshot or maybe I wasn't aware about the process.
Now when I try to login using username and password they ask for authenticator code/security code/get support.
I tried support but it doesn't work.

Go to the 2-Step Verification section of your Google Account.
Select Show codes.
Select Get new codes.

This stupid situation makes me upset 😭
I set up two factor authentication for my band account because my other account got hacked so I was trying to be safe. When I set it up I didn’t know you had to use an authenticator app for the code so that was never set up. Instagram decided to log everyone out who was using the account and now there’s no way to get in. Even the video selfie crap isn’t working when there’s obviously pics of us on the account and since instagram don’t got actual people to talk to, my account is just lost now. How sad.

Ok Trevor…. So my account was disabled with no reason given. I confirmed my identity and it is allowing me to try to log in. Then asking for a code they sent via text which will not show up. Backup codes will not work even though it is linked to my fb acct. i managed to get the code sent to my email i have on my acct but then it goes right back to asking for a code texted to me which i cannot receive…i watched your videos. Even tho they got me to new spots in reactivating my acct, i still am not able to. I found the fb text number was blocked on my phone unblocked now and no luck. I downloaded whatsapp as well and google authenticator. Nothing. I did the selfie video for fb and within 4 minutes, i get an email saying cannot be verified. I dont have a pic on any posts but do on storys. It is my business acct and to lose it will be a big blow to my business. Any ideas?

Hi Trevor, great videos. I have watch most of your Instagram help videos and cannot for the life of me figure it out. Here is my current problem: I recently temporarily disable my account (NOT premaritally delete) because I need some time away from IG. I have now decided to redownload it. When I go to sign in, it prompts me with my email and phone # for a security code because it deems this as a "suspicious log in attempt". I have access to both my email and phone and get the code either way and enter it correctly and immediately. Then once I hit submit I get an error. It says "Wait a moment please check the code we sent a try again later". I have tried everything and just can't log in. Any help would be great!
