    Amazing elevators. The building looks like an office building or perhaps even a hospital.

    Amazingly nice elevators, and in the case of the Otis that is still original 63 years later, it sure is amazing but not surprising that the controller and power unit survived a big floor. Try that with a modern elevator that uses a microprocessor controller.

    Custom impulse should be brought back tbh

    I found out Black Dog Salvage in Roanoke, VA got an antique caged elevator car within the last month. They may still have it, but I can't say for sure.

    9:46 in theory that tiny little elevator could be restored since the cab and whats left of the machinery and the cables look in good shape but that would unfortunatelly involve modding it and buying all new equipment for it since the motor and controller were ripped out and it would need a good clean up job

  • @williamscoufaras7045
    @williamscoufaras7045 7 лет назад +1

    The 3rd elevator needs to be completely replaced unfortunately. The cab might need to be rebuilt as well

    • @LongboatLtd2004
      @LongboatLtd2004 3 года назад +1

      that is an Otis governor, which limits the speed the elevator can travel.

    If the 3rd elevator gets completely replaced or if the future of the building is to be demolished (which I hope not) try to get the buttons from that elevator and the C O P. Well if the whole building was to be demolished I would get all the buttons from all the elevators

    • @stvpls
      @stvpls 6 лет назад

      can he get the entire car?

    • @williamscoufaras7045
      @williamscoufaras7045 6 лет назад

      stv pls I don't think so. If he could, that would be very tough. You would have to dismantle it or knock down the shaft very carefully possibly to get it. But generally when elevators get completely replaced, they are demolished from inside the shaft. So I don't think he would get it. But hey, we can all dream right?!😂

    • @williamscoufaras7045
      @williamscoufaras7045 6 лет назад +1

      stv pls It would not be an easy job at all. You would have to get someone very professional to do that
