Thank you so much for sharing this video. I needed to tweak one more little item for it to work on my PC. I just received a beefy Trader's PC with Intel i9-10 Cores, 1GBS/read/write SSD, up to 12-monitor outputs, more RAM than I can count :)~ It's an awesome PC so far, but the original user was still showed up on the logon screen even with the account disabled. With your video and a little tweak, that user is now gone from the logon screen!!!!
Needed to change AutoAdminLogon from 1 to 0
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
AutoAdminLogon changed from 1 to 0
TYSM! ❤🎉
Thanks, it works
Not working helpp
I just don't understand the point?? If you had a secret admin account lets say on a bunch of workgroup workstations so that if the primary user got locked out or got a corrupt profile for eg then you could use the secret admin account . . but you can't because you cant even log into that secret account without first logging in with AN account and modifying the registry to show the hidden account??? or making it so the last user login name doesn't show which is basically hiding the account names anyway. Please explain if I have missed the point.
You can always load the hive offline and unhide the account.
Ok, but how do I access the hidden account (while it has value 0) directly from the sign-in page (without logging in first to another user) ??
Did you find out
@@ae_Syrumz Did you ever find out?!
It’s not possible.. I tried but you gotta log in and turn the number back to 1
ctr +alt+delete

How to undo this whole process... Like how to unhide that hidden account
I found out
ctrl+alt+del
@@MrMegalodonian tell full steps please
Yes but how do you access the admin account if John is a GUEST user? I want to show Students on my login screen who are part of guest users so they cannot see the admin account. So if the user is logged in as Guest and i need to get into the admin account how do i access the admin account? Seems you cant. Because the Guest account would not have any admin privs.
The whole point of this video is to hide a specific user. This means that you can hide a User wile nobody would know about it. But it seems you want to hide the Admin. This means that if you hide the Admin, you would only see the Guest. Now the way to access the admin is to open any file that needs admin privilege, and it should prompt you to type in the Admin user and password. Now if you want to be able to see it again you would need to un-hide the admin. So on the limited user, you would need to run a registry script to restore it (Admin to be visible), or go to registry manually to un-hide the Admin. If you run the script, right click and select "run as Administrator" or open regedit and it should prompt you for User and Password for admin. If the computer was joined in an Active Directory (like a District School or Business) then it would only see the Last current user logged in and you would see on the left saying "Other Users"
Thanks for the reply. But you cant open the registry editor if you are just a student. What i want to do is this. Im setting up a learning center. There are 15 laptops running Win 10. There would be a button that says STUDENT and the student would click on the button to get access to run whatever is on their desktop. Admin would be hidden from view. The student would only be part of the guest group.
I Repeat Don't do this you'll regret
Why?
Can't get into account now
