I tried the same steps and as soon as I click system image recovery it shows "Choose an account to continue" and then shows my username, if I click then it again starts asking login password. Its not working for me.

This method will only work out with local account. Microsoft account or online account wont b working in such a way.. all what u can do is to recover your data by creating new admin account and get ur files back

Just to inform if u have a bigger username put it like this
net user "Username" *
Thats correct but a small correction. You use quotes if username has spaces in between. No matter how big it is as long as its one word you don’t need quotes for it. Cheers.

hi, well in this case i hope you remember the password to login in first. You should sign in option down below. Select login from password and once you are logged in you need to go to settings/sign in options/remove hello password and recreate the pin.

Well i think you were using Microsoft account to login earlier. Well in dat case only you can do is to create admin account and login and get ur data back. Resetting microsoft account wont b possible

Try pressing ctrl alt del couple of times on window screen, or you can try to login in safe mode. Restart ur machine and keep pressing f8 you comp or laptop may hav different key u can check it on google with ur laptop brand. Go to safe mode and try if u get access in the windows simply change the password out there or create new admin user. Good luck

It wont be available in bootx or recovery drive. Are u getting any error when you select c drive or second drive apart from bootx or recovery ?

Hi, coz we changed cmd to magnify thats why. U have to repeat the process again to revert the changes. U cannot change system files when u r logged in normally.
