Prof. Rima Alaifari is an assistant professor in the mathematics department at ETH Zurich. She also just gave a TEDx talk in Zurich about "crushing labels." When her talk comes out on the TEDx RUclips page, I'll be sure to link it. I caught up with her after her talk and we discussed her field in mathematics, why she decided to become a mathematician, what real-life applications her work has, and advice she has for anyone looking to pursue the field. ____________________________________________________________________
