A person saw a snake on a rope. This is because he was ignorant that there was a rope lying there and the light was not brought enough to show him the rope. How did this snake come? The snake never was or is. Similarity ignorance of one's own self is the reason for seeing other things like mind, body, world etc.. in place of one's self. So when through the help of Guru ,Vedic knowledge and practices to fine tune the mind, one can because the mind and know ones self. Once one knows the self, he knows that akk else does not exist in reality but it's only an illusion. It is something like waking up a sleeping and dreaming child by another elder. Here this child has to be willing to wake up, heart to the teacher age follow shine instructions to fine tune the mind. Here the education is not for the self which is always self-effulgent but to the mind to leave a dream in which it is fully engrossed and wake up to reality.
