      the best things in life are often undervalued just have a look at the music industry most of the talented artists have very low traffic compared to for example a talentless rapper that uses auto tune gets millions of views

    Super interesting and helpful thanks Don! What energy system would metabolic conditioning circuits primarily work? (45 seconds on, 15 seconds off for 45 minutes with lots of different stations) and would these count as a cardio conditioning session instead of a strength one?

    Do you recommend muay thai on the same day as a strength session? I don't have another day to spare for strength so I would have to double up on a muay thai day.
    Also I need to lose weight for my fight. Is it OK to do strength training on a caloric deficit or should I wait until I'm done losing weight?

      Yes I do recommend strength training can be done on the same day as Muay Thai training… More on that here: ruclips.net/video/1p8QHGVhdXE/видео.html
      Definitely keep up the strength training while in calorie deficit, to maintain muscle mass… More on that here: heatrick.com/2020/01/26/fat-loss-for-fighters/

      Hi Raphael, yes I do have programs suitable for beginners too.
      It's all just a matter of scaling things down (or up) to meet you where you're at.
      You're not alone when it comes to feeling overwhelmed, and I can certainly help you to focus on only what's needed to make the best progress. :)

    What about amateur fighters? I only have 10 hours of training a week to spare for run, bag, pads, spar and strength.

    • @heatrick
      @heatrick  2 года назад

      It's the same for amateur fighters too. It's a case of prioritising limiting your factors (80/20) to double down on your 'priority few' instead of the 'trivial many'. This video/article explains more in this: heatrick.com/2019/11/21/breaking-limits-in-muay-thai/

      @@heatrick I usually pick a weight that I can do 15 reps and work on power for the positive movement and slower on the eccentric. I don't do weights for the lower body just plyometric movement

      @@cristobalpalmero3299 Thanks for sharing that. Adopting a more rounded approach to your supplemental training would give you the opportunity to level up further. You might find this guide interesting: heatrick.com/2019/07/28/strength-and-conditioning-for-muay-thai-101/
